00:00In just a short while, about 6.30pm, even as the conflict in West Asia continues to go on,
00:06but there is a concern, and that concern is about the impact on India.
00:11So the government of the centre is moving ahead to one reassure, but also coordinate a unified response.
00:17There has to be a plan B ready, just in case the war continues and can impact our citizens.
00:23So the all eyes will be on Prime Minister Modi's big review meeting.
00:26Prime Minister Modi, I'm told, is going to be interacting with the Chief Ministers via video conferencing at 6.30pm.
00:32Why? To assess how prepared are we, what is the Team India approach,
00:37and the Chief Ministers of election-bound states, however, will not be present, which are primarily opposition states.
00:45Mamata Banerjee from Bengal, Pinarai Vijayan, Kerala, M.K. Stalin, Tamil Nadu, N. Rangasami,
00:51and also Himanta Biswasarma from Assam.
00:54We'll have to skip the meeting, the Model Code of Conduct is in place.
00:56So a separate review meeting with the Chief Secretaries will be held via the Cabinet Secretariat.
01:02What's on agenda then?
01:04How prepared is India? How prepared are the state governments?
01:07A coordinated national response will have to be ready, ensuring a uniform strategy across all states.
01:15This time, it will not be about politics, political bickering.
01:17We have to be on the same stage to ensure, if at all, the situation worsens.
01:21We are in it as one.
01:23That also means, apart from that one basic uniform approach to mitigate the crisis,
01:29the crackdown on the hoarding, the panic buying of the LPG cylinders,
01:34that remains a big concern in many parts of the country.
01:37Reviewing safety and security measures, especially for Indian residents living in the Gulf region,
01:42all of that will be part of the agenda meeting at 6.30pm.
01:46We'll break that live for you.
01:47Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju has confirmed that
01:50the reports of a lockdown are completely false and misleading.
01:55In the past few days, you must have noticed or perhaps wondered it yourself
01:58if you are heading into a COVID-like lockdown
02:01and what India could look like in the days to come.
02:04The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is assured,
02:06energy supplies are stable,
02:07no shortage of petrol, diesel or LPG for now.
02:10But also adding that panic-driven claims are unfounded
02:15and do not fall for this rumour-mongering.
02:18I also want you to listen in to what Minister Ardeep Singh Puri has said.
02:22He has put out an elaborate statement
02:23and what other ministers are saying.
02:25Listen in.
02:38This is why we will be prepared, we will be prepared, we will be prepared, we will be prepared.
02:46And this is why we will be prepared, we will be prepared, we will be prepared, we will be prepared.
