Welcome everyone, in this feature from 1964 and called The Time Travelers we start out with a group of scientists who have discovered how, you guess it, time travel. Only before they are able to test their machine properly a technician steps through the portal without thinking. Now it's up to them to bring not only themselves but him. They find themselves in the year 2027 being chase by mutants. While there they meet Dr. Varno in an underground city. They are informed the Earth is unstable and everyone must leave and leave soon. Dr. Varno with his people are planning to build a spaceship and advises Dr. Erik Von Steiner and his colleagues to work on their time machine before it's too late. What will happen? Will everyone make it in time (no pun intended). If they make it back, will everything be the same? Will the mutants take over? For these answers and more, we will have to sit back and watch. So let's make some Sonic Screwdrivers, some tv dinners and don't walk through any portals that pop up. Thanks for watching.

00:03:44Hi doc
00:03:45Hello Steve
00:03:49Uh Carol
00:03:51Oh hi Danny
00:03:52Oh hi Danny
00:03:53Look I know you're all busy
00:03:54But they sent me down from the front office
00:03:56I had to tell them about those extra power cables I got for Doc
00:03:59And I got chewed out but good
00:04:02Gee Danny I'm sorry
00:04:03We certainly didn't mean to get you in trouble
00:04:05Oh that's okay I don't mind that
00:04:08Anyway what do they know
00:04:09I mean you see I know
00:04:11Danny could you wait just a minute
00:04:12This check run won't take long
00:04:14Yeah but
00:04:15I'm supposed to
00:04:17The power
00:04:20Oh nuts
00:04:21Go ahead you guys
00:04:32Circuits check
00:04:33Okay then
00:04:35What are we waiting for
00:04:39Phase two
00:04:41Phase two it is
00:04:43I'll set the time selector at
00:04:45Six hours in the future
00:04:51Time selector set
00:04:53Plus six hours

00:05:21I'm going to increase the power input
00:05:23Careful
00:05:25I'll only take it to the limit of safety
00:05:30Negative
00:05:31There's one other thing we can try
00:05:34Accelerate the laser beam cycling
00:05:37Steve is that safe?
00:05:39It's a risk I say try it
00:05:41Steve
00:05:42You may blow the system
00:05:43Burn it out
00:05:43We may not
00:05:44If we do we're out of business
00:05:46But if we don't get this damn thing working
00:05:48We're out of business
00:05:49And for good
00:05:51Alright
00:05:52Try it
00:05:5776,000 and climbing
00:06:00Hold it Steve enough
00:06:05I have a circuit overload warning
00:06:07Better drop the voltage
00:06:08No wait
00:06:09No wait
00:06:10It could be the calibrations
00:06:11The future circuits may be on
00:06:14Try moving the wheel ahead
00:06:16The major one
00:06:18Keep going
00:06:20To the top
00:06:21Keep going
00:06:23That's it Steve
00:06:24I'm past the calibration end of the future
00:06:25How far?
00:06:26Past 100,000 years
00:06:27Maybe twice that more
00:06:28I'm bringing the wheel back
00:06:34What was that?
00:06:36What?
00:06:37I thought I saw something
00:06:38Nothing
00:06:39I'm select who said it
00:06:41Plus six hours
00:06:42Hold it there
00:06:43I'm going to open up the laser cycling
00:06:46All the way
00:06:47Steve
00:06:48Take it back
00:06:49Take it back
00:06:52Steve you're overshooting
00:06:53Take it back the other way
00:06:55The other way
00:06:58The power cut it
00:06:59Wait a minute
00:07:00Look
00:07:12Test area
00:07:14The campus
00:07:15It couldn't be
00:07:18It looks almost prehistoric
00:07:23There's a couple of circuits
00:07:24Completely fused
00:07:27The time selector
00:07:28What's the reading Steve?
00:07:33107 years
00:07:37That's impossible
00:07:38In the future
00:07:41Holy McKee
00:07:42The campus like that in a hundred years
00:07:46It couldn't be
00:07:47Of course it couldn't
00:07:50Unless
00:07:52The future
00:07:53A window to the future
00:08:00Discovery by accident
00:08:01It's happened before
00:08:04Many times
00:08:06Fleming discovered penicillin
00:08:08By accident
00:08:09Brunken
00:08:10X-rays
00:08:12And we
00:08:14The end of the world
00:08:16We don't know that
00:08:17There's lots to do
00:08:18We must note
00:08:19Every reading
00:08:20We must know
00:08:21Which circuits were fused
00:08:22And what new connections were made
00:08:23We're going to have to work fast
00:08:25I don't know how stable
00:08:26That image is
00:08:26It may collapse at any second
00:08:45Hey
00:08:46Do you know something?
00:08:50This picture
00:08:51It isn't just a picture
00:08:53It looks like
00:08:543D
00:08:57Looks like you could step right into it
00:09:13Doc
00:09:14Hey Doc
00:09:16Not now Danny
00:09:17Yeah but look
00:09:24But I've been crying to tell you
00:09:25It isn't just a picture
00:09:27Do you know what this means?
00:09:33We must have created
00:09:34Not only a window to the future
00:09:36But a doorway
00:09:37A time rift
00:09:38A warp of the space-time continuum
00:09:41Through which matter can pass
00:09:43Electronic shorts
00:09:44The fuse barred
00:09:45There's no time
00:09:45There's no time
00:09:46It may collapse as quickly
00:09:47As it came into being
00:09:48The readings
00:09:48The new circus
00:09:49Come on quickly
00:10:09Hey Doc
00:10:10I'll take a look out there
00:10:12Tell you what it's like
00:10:16No Danny
00:10:16No
00:10:19Danny come back
00:10:20The warp is unstable
00:10:21It might collapse
00:10:25He can't hear us
00:10:26The sound won't pass
00:10:28Through the time portal
00:10:31He's trapped
00:10:33No no Steve
00:10:34I'll go
00:10:35It's my responsibility
00:10:36I'm still a senior here
00:10:39Both of you get back
00:10:39To the panel
00:10:40See that the settings
00:10:41Remain exactly as they are
00:10:42Watch for a burnout
00:10:43Go on Steve
00:11:02Steve
00:11:22Steve
00:11:24Where are they?
00:11:35I'm still a senior here
00:11:36I'm still a senior here
00:11:37I'm still a senior here
00:12:00The End
00:12:31The End
00:13:04Steve! Eric! Come back!
00:13:06Come back!
00:13:23Steve, come back! The portal's collapsing!
00:13:27Steve! Eric!
00:13:29Come back! The portal's collapsing!
00:13:36Steve! Eric, come back!
00:13:52The portal's collapsing!
00:13:55Come on, wait, wait!
00:14:22Steve, they came after me. They tried to get into the lab. I had to leave the controls.
00:14:26Steve, look!
00:14:39Get to those rocks. We'll try and lose them. Come on, come on.
00:14:42Come on, come on.
00:15:03Come on, come on.
00:15:14The End
00:15:46The End
00:16:11The End
00:16:47The End
00:17:09The End
00:17:10Come on, fetch in, I got plenty of ammo!
00:17:31There's a little cave up the canyon.
00:17:33How far?
00:17:33A couple hundred feet.
00:17:35Leave the way.
00:17:54Right in there!
00:17:58Carol, over there.
00:17:59Keep an eye out for them.
00:18:00Get as many rocks as you can.
00:18:06Here they come!
00:18:25Here they come.
00:18:26Give us a little, there he is!
00:18:29All in there!
00:18:38Here it comes!
00:18:40Here there he is!
00:18:42Here it comes!
00:18:46Here it comes!
00:18:57What is it?
00:18:59I don't know.
00:19:05Wow!
00:19:07I got a shock.
00:19:09I got an electric shock.
00:19:11Electricity, are you sure?
00:19:12Doc, if there's one thing I do know, it's what an electric shock feels like.
00:19:15What do you make of it?
00:19:17It must be an electrically charged field.
00:19:20A force field barrier.
00:19:23That's quite correct.
00:19:41I am Gadra. Don't be alarmed. The androids won't harm you.
00:19:45Come with me.
00:19:46Wait a minute.
00:19:47Hold it.
00:19:49How do we know that...
00:19:51How do you know that you will be safe?
00:19:52You don't.
00:19:54All right.
00:19:56We'll go with you.
00:20:02It seems we have very little choice.
00:20:04I sympathize with your frustration.
00:20:07I sympathize with your frustration.
00:20:084-7-7-1, seal the opening.
00:20:146-7, let us through.
00:20:16I will.
00:20:29aíjm.
00:20:43I will
00:20:46know that you will be happy. Every year
00:20:46you will be happy. Even you
00:20:54How? Or is it a secret?
00:20:56Oh, it's no secret.
00:20:58But I don't believe I can make this phenomenon intelligible to you.
00:21:03Try me.
00:21:04Well, it's a temporary alteration of the molecular structure of the rock.
00:21:08We shrink it, you might say, through a microscopic hole bored through the rock by the L-tube.
00:21:18A laser beam drill?
00:21:20Yes. Yes, a modification.
00:21:24Oh, do come with me. All your questions will be answered.
00:21:50Where are you taking us?
00:21:51To our council chambers, to Dr. Varno, our council senior.
00:21:55I knew it. Take me to your leader.
00:21:58Dr. Varno will be as interested in asking you questions as you will be in having yours answered.
00:22:07The force field barrier saved our lives. We are grateful.
00:22:12But understandably, we're at a loss for some explanations.
00:22:16Less than an hour ago, we were in my laboratory on our Earth.
00:22:23And now...
00:22:25You are still in your own world, Dr. von Steiner.
00:22:29Earth. The year is 2071.
00:22:32But our world is dying.
00:22:35Dying?
00:22:36Except for a few hundred of us here in these caves, mankind no longer exists.
00:22:42But why, Dr. Varno? How?
00:22:45I wish I could tell you the reason was a natural or cosmic catastrophe.
00:22:49But I'm afraid it was man's own folly.
00:23:01I, Dr. Varno, I.
00:23:06I don't know.
00:23:13I don't know.
00:23:15I don't know.
00:23:16I don't know.
00:23:17I don't know.
00:23:17But I'm afraid it was a natural or cosmic catastrophe.
00:23:27I don't know.
00:23:29I don't know.
00:23:44the destruction was total earth our planet our home is now just a burnt out sterile slag in
00:23:54space the last hill star generation of mutated once humans the offspring of the radiation
00:24:02saturated survivors roam the desolate surface possessed by the insanity of crippling deformities
00:24:10of mind and body when they are gone earth will be lifeless and as incapable of sustaining life
00:24:19as the barren moon itself here in our underground domain we are the descendants of a small group
00:24:27of far-thinking scientists and their families we are the last normal human beings on earth
00:24:33how do you plan to survive on an earth that is dead we don't there is a creeping death all
00:24:40around us
00:24:41and we cannot stay where can you go to another world mars no no other planet in our solar system
00:24:50can
00:24:50support human life then where we must go to the stars to another planetary system where earth-like
00:24:58worlds have been detected to the system of alpha centauri 25 000 billion miles such a journey would
00:25:08take generations yes let me show you something i think it may interest you
00:25:30this is the single purpose for which we live and labor the starship it stands in a crater once
00:25:37blown from the very bedrock by a nuclear bomb the only entrance to it is through our tunnels it is
00:25:43now
00:25:43being readied for the journey but generations that it's impossible no you see we will not be going
00:25:56break through no explosion and fuel primer pit damn it two androids one total one injured arm and head
00:26:04is the spool intact not known he's being taken to assembly and maintenance four i'm coming down
00:26:11gadra you and will have checked the primer pit yes sir dr von steiner if you and your party would
00:26:17care to come
00:26:17come with me you will see with your own eyes one of our android assembly plants
00:26:28attention attention three androids programmed from molecular circuitive needed at the photon drive center
00:26:35tout leids moment
00:26:39ok
00:26:46ok
00:26:47ok
00:26:47ok
00:29:48Yes, you see, the androids are constantly being repaired here.
00:29:52Do you have that many accidents?
00:29:54No.
00:29:55Of course, they do take on the most dangerous jobs, but there's quite another matter.
00:29:59You see, they're often damaged in battle.
00:30:03We're in a race which may bring all our efforts to nothing, and we may not win that race.
00:30:09A race?
00:30:10With whom, Dr. Varno?
00:30:12You've already encountered them.
00:30:15The mutants.
00:30:17They're constantly seeking and finding new ways to penetrate our caves and break down our defenses.
00:30:22We're under constant attack.
00:30:24That's why we must always be armed.
00:30:25But they're hardly human, doctor.
00:30:28No, but they're clever.
00:30:29They're very cunning.
00:30:30It's a society organized along military lines.
00:30:34Their primitive life has been forced upon them, and they are more dangerous than you think.
00:30:40Well, you see, it's only been a few years the mutants have been attacking us at all.
00:30:43Before that, for generations, they shunned us.
00:30:46They held us responsible, and there was no need for arms or defenses.
00:30:51Why do they attack you now?
00:30:53They want our stores, our supplies.
00:30:56Food is becoming more and more difficult to come by up there.
00:30:59They are starving.
00:31:01Why can't you give them the food to keep them from dying?
00:31:04My dear, they're practically dead already.
00:31:07If we were to give them our food, we'd soon die, too.
00:31:10Yes, the mutants are becoming a very real and ever-growing menace.
00:31:14It's only a question of time before a full-scale raid succeeds and wipes out our colony.
00:31:19Before that happens, we must finish the starship or perish.
00:31:49What's he doing?
00:31:51Demagnetizing.
00:31:52The head unit is locked on with a magnetic ring.
00:32:06The head unit is locked on with a magnetic ring.
00:32:38The head unit is locked on with a magnetic ring.
00:33:03Amazing, Dr. Varno, amazing.
00:33:07This spool here contains a complete record of everything the android did,
00:33:11right up to the instant of the accident.
00:33:13And by analyzing that, you can find out exactly what went wrong
00:33:17and learn possibly what not to do.
00:33:19Exactly.
00:33:21Attention.
00:33:22Four androids report to Starship Machine Shop.
00:33:25Come, let me take you to the rooms you'll occupy.
00:33:27We can talk later.
00:33:30Uh, doctor, could I stick around a little longer?
00:33:33Why, certainly, if you so desire.
00:33:35You are interested in the plant.
00:33:37The plant?
00:33:38Oh, it's some land.
00:33:50Hi.
00:33:52Be well.
00:33:53Yeah, you too.
00:33:54You're a good-looking boy.
00:33:58Well, you're pretty cute yourself.
00:34:03I, I, I, I, uh...
00:34:04Will you be with me later?
00:34:07Will I, uh...
00:34:09Well, sure.
00:34:10You bet.
00:34:11I know all the single men of the colony, but no one interests me.
00:34:15Well, that's fine.
00:34:17You do.
00:34:19Will you come to my cubicle?
00:34:22Uh, sure.
00:34:23My work hour is end at ten.
00:34:27Where do I, uh...
00:34:29How do I find your, uh...
00:34:31Cubicle?
00:34:34Well, maybe you better meet me in the little rec hall.
00:34:37Anyone will show you the way.
00:34:38Great.
00:34:43Would you put this, uh, over there, please?
00:34:46Sure.
00:34:47See you at ten?
00:34:48Try and stop me.
00:34:56Holy McKee, I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:25Be well.
00:35:37I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:40I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:43I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:45I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:46I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:47I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:47I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:49I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:35:51I thought I was giving her the eye.
00:36:10Of course, Dr. von Steiner will give you all the help you need
00:36:13in reconstructing your time-space warp,
00:36:15the portal back to your own time.
00:36:17Thank you. We'd like to start at once. It'll take time.
00:36:20Can you do it in a month?
00:36:21A month? Well, four, maybe three, but...
00:36:24The starship is scheduled to blast off in one month's time.
00:36:28But we must return.
00:36:29With what we know now, we must go back and warn everyone.
00:36:33We'll make it. You will not.
00:36:37And what makes you so sure?
00:36:39Isn't it obvious?
00:36:41The war did happen.
00:36:43You never did go back with your warning.
00:36:46There must be something we can do. Steve...
00:36:49No, Carol, no. He's right. We can't change the past.
00:36:52Then we can't go back.
00:36:55But you can go on with us.
00:37:01Dr. Varna would be proud to join you.
00:37:03I'm game.
00:37:05Meanwhile, what can we do to help?
00:37:07I would like Dr. Connors to work with Willard and myself on the photon drive.
00:37:12There are still rough spots.
00:37:13Gadra, I don't see how...
00:37:15I think it's an excellent suggestion, Gadra, provided Dr. Connors agrees.
00:37:19Of course.
00:37:21Varno here.
00:37:23Survey room reporting.
00:37:25Data from Titan Surveyor just coming in.
00:37:27Good.
00:37:28Maintain the contact.
00:37:29I shall want to check the results myself.
00:37:31Yes, sir.
00:37:32Dr. Funsteiner, why don't you come with me?
00:37:44Data collection center.
00:37:46This is Councilman Willard.
00:37:48Ready all starship operations and supply data for a special check.
00:37:51Any specific area?
00:37:53Yes.
00:37:53Capacity calculations.
00:37:55I want to verify the impossibility of adding extra individuals to the complement.
00:38:00The data will be ready.
00:38:03Ready.
00:38:03Ready.
00:38:04Ready.
00:38:05Ready.
00:38:05Ready.
00:38:16Bye.
00:38:18Bye.
00:38:23Bye.
00:38:50How is the contact?
00:38:52Top 10.
00:38:53Excellent.
00:38:56We have been constantly surveying every possible planetary body in our solar system.
00:39:02Every planet, every one of their moons, even some of the smaller asteroids, but this is
00:39:12the last, Titan, one of Saturn's largest atmosphere-carrying moons.
00:39:17Robot surveyors?
00:39:19Yes.
00:39:20They don't seem encouraged.
00:39:21The analysis shows a complete negative response.
00:39:24I'd expected it.
00:39:25But you still maintain surveillance.
00:39:27Why?
00:39:29Information, Dr. von Steiner.
00:39:31Knowledge.
00:39:32We feel we can never have enough of that in the new world we're going to occupy.
00:39:36There it is.
00:39:38Our entire solar system.
00:39:40And nowhere can man exist.
00:39:43Nowhere.
00:39:44Including Earth.
00:39:49Put the Titan surveyor on the master's screen.
00:39:52Yes, sir.
00:40:07Let me show you the world we are going to make into our new world.
00:40:10Come.
00:40:18Is the Voyager in position for a good picture of New Earth?
00:40:21Yes, sir.
00:40:22It is.
00:40:23Excellent.
00:40:24This is a cosmic camera receiver, Dr. von Steiner.
00:40:28Between the glass panes is a layer of transparent film.
00:40:32Watch.
00:40:35Alpha Centauri IV.
00:40:38It has an oxygen atmosphere, water, gravity close to the Earth.
00:40:42It can support life.
00:40:45Human life.
00:40:46Instantaneous.
00:40:48Instantaneous transmission.
00:40:49How can this be?
00:40:50Only instantaneous printing, Dr. von Steiner.
00:40:54Actually, this picture was transmitted to us with the speed of light four and one-half years ago.
00:41:03What you are seeing now is what our new home looked like then.
00:41:32To be continued.
00:43:14What do you think of our lumicoids?
00:43:17Well?
00:43:21I really didn't think that they would still be here.
00:43:25And what about us?
00:44:25they're running low on liners do you think you can catch up don't worry i'm keeping our
00:44:31spacemen happy getting things squared away
00:44:38of course a more conventional fuel will be used for liftoff and escape cutting down the critical
00:44:44danger stage oh exactly we'll only be using uh an inflammable fuel during the short periods of
00:44:50takeoff and landing on new earth the photon drive will take over the star journey into deep space
00:44:55it's a great improvement over the old iron drive oh we just started to experiment with that
00:45:02you know i hate to let my ignorance show in front of such great minds but what exactly is a
00:45:08photon
00:45:08well it's a particle of light photon propulsion is nothing more nor less than a beam of light
00:45:14just a beam of light well a stream of photons are shooting at 186 000 miles per second from
00:45:22the starship engine driving it through space on the action reaction principle and it works indeed
00:45:28it does work will it perhaps you'd sorry gadra i have no time to conduct a guided tour
00:45:37what's that breakthrough the neutrons are somewhere in the cave
00:45:41you have on your way to your post take the gun to the council chamber
00:45:45stay there you'll be safe you come with me we may need every man

00:54:33chambers. Mr. McKee, Mr. McKee, please report to the council chambers.
00:54:49Councilman Willard has made an exhaustive study of the problem. The starship has been constructed
00:54:55to serve an exactly calculated number of humans and androids. Four additional humans would also
00:55:01mean extra air and nutrient for them for over a generation's time, storage space, extra suspended
00:55:08animation enclosures, and additional androids. Willard has pointed out very conclusively that
00:55:15this would mean extensive alterations in the starship's design. Dr. von Steiner, we do not
00:55:21have time for such alterations. At Willard's request, the council has decided it will be
00:55:28impossible for us to take you with us on the journey.
00:55:34You're leaving us here?
00:55:38Dr. Barnu?
00:55:41It is not our desire. It is bitter necessity.
00:55:45There, uh, there must be a way to lick the problem.
00:55:48It would mean taking time.
00:55:50Then take it. We'll do anything we can to help.
00:55:53You don't understand.
00:55:54Damn it, you can't abandon us here.
00:55:56The starship must take off. At the specified time, there can be no delay.
00:56:01Delay? How much could there be?
00:56:02Even a second would be too much.
00:56:04The automatic pilot of the ship has been completely programmed, a job requiring months.
00:56:09The calculations are critical. The ship must be launched at the exact specified time.
00:56:15An error? A delay of even seconds here could result in light years at our destination.
00:56:20Too much for correction.
00:56:22And this final.
00:56:24You are pronouncing our death sentence.
00:56:27I don't enjoy doing it.
00:56:29You've resented us from the beginning.
00:56:30I have.
00:56:31But that is not why I'm doing this.
00:56:35I...
00:56:35We must consider the greater good.
00:56:38I must do what I think is right.
00:56:41And what about us?
00:56:43Nobody invited you here.
00:56:45At least give us a chance. Try and find a solution.
00:56:48It is impossible.
00:56:49Until you've tried and failed, nothing is impossible.
00:56:51This is.
00:56:53A lot of others like you, busily explaining why things can't be done,
00:56:57have been interrupted by people doing them.
00:56:58Rots.
00:56:59Or is it just you who shies away from the challenge?
00:57:02I find it quite unnecessary to waste the consul's time with argumentative platitudes.
00:57:07We've taken a vote.
00:57:08The matter is closed.
00:57:09Just like that.
00:57:11You seem to enjoy throwing people at those mutants.
00:57:15You have just said you consider nothing impossible.
00:57:20Then why don't you reconstruct your time warp portal
00:57:22and go back where you came from.
00:57:31I want you to know the vote was not unanimous.
00:57:35Dr. Varno and I...
00:57:36Thank you, God.
00:57:39It would be an idle gesture to say that I regret.
00:57:43I understand.
00:57:44Stay here in the consul chamber and decide what you will do.
00:57:48Let me know and we'll give you every possible help we can.
00:57:52And after you leave, Varno,
00:57:54how much time will we still have left?
00:58:14Looks like we've had it, huh, Doc?
00:58:16No, Danny.
00:58:17We'll not give up.
00:58:18We're not beaten until we do.
00:58:21All right, now.
00:58:22Let's look at the choices we have, Doc.
00:58:23We can make the caves as impregnable as possible against the mutants.
00:58:29Well, the odds would be overwhelming against us.
00:58:32Even if we could, what kind of a future would we have?
00:58:35I reject it.
00:58:37There's no other place in our solar system we could go,
00:58:39even if we had the means.
00:58:41There is no other place we could live.
00:58:44One choice left, then.
00:58:46And only one.
00:58:48We build the portal or die.
00:59:13Steve is almost ready.
00:59:15We'll be finished, too.
00:59:17We programmed the board with every detail we remembered.
00:59:20Circuit settings, it's just got to be close.
00:59:33Danny?
00:59:38Take me back with you.
00:59:41Oh, Raina, I can't do that.
00:59:44You belong out there, and I belong where?
00:59:48Don't you like me?
00:59:50Of course I like you.
00:59:51You're a beautiful girl.
00:59:54Who's that?
00:59:56Beauty's only skin deep.
00:59:57Well, it's deep enough, isn't it?
00:59:59What do you want, a lovely liver?
01:00:01Please don't, Joe.
01:00:04Danny, I love you.
01:00:11Let me go back with you.
01:00:13Oh, Raina, I can't take you back with me.
01:00:18You know what I'm going back to if I'm going back at all.
01:00:21But I don't care.
01:00:24Besides, I'm already engaged.
01:00:26You are?
01:00:28Mm-hmm.
01:00:29Big, tall girl, about six feet.
01:00:31But bright.
01:00:32You should see her eyes flash.
01:00:34And ask her any question, gives you the answer.
01:00:39What didn't you tell me?
01:00:40Most beautiful electronic computer in the good old USA.
01:00:43Oh, Danny.
01:00:46Your Danny can joke at a time like this.
01:00:48Can you think of a better time?
01:00:50Oh, Doctor, thanks for letting Raina and Gadra help us out.
01:00:53It was their own request.
01:00:56From what I can see from these plans, there may be a connection.
01:01:02Certainly worth a try.
01:01:03Let me show you how this works.
01:01:05It's really perfectly safe.
01:01:07We'll, um, we'll need a guinea pig.
01:01:13Danny.
01:01:17Would you be good enough to help us out for a few moments?
01:01:20Sure, Doc.
01:01:21Pardon.
01:01:22Raina.
01:01:36Dr. Varnoff.
01:01:37Activate the Vibra Transporter, please.
01:01:40Yes, sir.
01:01:42The Vibra Transporter is a matter transmitter.
01:01:46It breaks down solid matter into its component vibrations
01:01:49and sends them out like waves to be received and re-solidified elsewhere.
01:01:59Uh, much as an ordinary radio does with sound waves.
01:02:04Oh, well, I understand that.
01:02:06I wish I did.
01:02:07Would you like to take a little trip?
01:02:10Well, that's okay with me.
01:02:11Come.
01:02:17Yeah, me up there.
01:02:19It may be a little uncomfortable, but it won't take long.
01:02:22Oh, thanks a bunch.
01:02:25Be well, gang.
01:02:29Hey, Doc.
01:02:31What's with this Section 8 treatment?
01:02:35Have a nice trip.
01:02:45Hey, Doc.
01:02:46If this thing's so safe, why all the safety belts?
01:02:51Hey!
01:02:52Hey!
01:02:59Now I know how a roasting chicken feels.
01:03:03Woo!
01:03:03Just like a fun house.
01:03:07Oh!
01:03:08Hey!
01:03:23Dr. Varnoff.
01:03:24He's all right, isn't he?
01:03:25Yes, of course he is.
01:03:29Watch.
01:03:48How do you feel?
01:03:50Never better.
01:03:50There are no ill effects.
01:03:52Thank you, Danny.
01:03:53Oh, any time, Doc.
01:03:54Thanks for the trip.
01:03:55I'll recommend it.
01:03:58It's fabulous, but why can't you use it?
01:04:01The transmitter needs a receiver.
01:04:04In effect, in order to go someplace, we'd have to be there in order to get there.
01:04:09Of course.
01:04:09Of course, the important thing is that certain principles of the transporter can be modified for use in perfecting your
01:04:16time-warp portal.
01:04:17Come.
01:04:19Come.
01:04:20休 lattice electronic musicMusic, hoo –
01:04:24Go, go, go, go, go, go.

01:08:05Our force field power plant has been transferred to the ship.
01:08:09Our defenses are at their weakest, almost fully automatic.
01:08:12The likelihood of a successful mutant attack is at its strongest.
01:08:16It's a bad combination.
01:08:17But they may be unaware.
01:08:18No, we've tried to keep them away, but we know they've been watching us from the crater rim.
01:08:22They're aware that most of our stores have gone into the ship.
01:08:25And this is their last chance to get them?
01:08:28If they realize how close we are to lift off.
01:08:32Then what will happen after the starship is gone?
01:08:43Group number 22, ready your androids.
01:08:46Stand by to board.
01:08:47Group number 22, stand by.
01:08:53Carol, where's Carol?
01:08:54I don't know, Steve.
01:08:55Wait a minute.
01:08:56She's with Rena, resting.
01:08:58They've reached control.
01:08:59Danny, come on.
01:09:01No, you stay here.
01:09:01Help Einstein to get that portal to work.
01:09:03Gandra, have you seen Rena or Carol?
01:09:04Yeah, she's with the rainbox.
01:09:05Wait a minute.
01:09:06You can't go out there.
01:09:07The nuclear's are everywhere.
01:09:08There's piping all over.
01:09:12Dr. Varno.
01:09:12Dr. Varno.
01:09:13Starship fellow requests instructions.
01:09:15Urgent.
01:09:16Urgent.
01:09:17Dr. Varno, come in.
01:09:18They're all over.
01:09:22Varno here.
01:09:23Varno to come, sender.
01:09:24Come in.
01:09:26Come in.
01:09:26Come in.
01:09:27Come in.
01:09:57Come in.
01:10:04Come in.
01:10:09No, man.
01:10:17Come in.
01:10:20Come in.
01:10:29We've got to keep them outside, let Paul get going.
01:10:31Look, have you got anything bigger than the anti-shooters?
01:10:33No, they couldn't be used in the caves.
01:10:34All right, give the androids guns.
01:10:35No use, right?
01:10:36They're only programmed for defense.
01:10:38This is too much of an offensive weapon.
01:10:40They won't use it.
01:10:41Steve, we're ready for a try.
01:10:49The mutants must have blown up the primer pit.
01:11:16Take off now!
01:11:18Now!

01:12:39Everybody over here.
01:12:41Let them work in the fort.
01:12:42Now get your weapons out and fall in line.
01:12:53Page one.
01:12:54Now, Ian.
01:13:05The canvas.
01:13:06But it looks so strange.
01:13:09So dead.
01:13:22Page two.
01:13:25Now, Ian.
01:13:54Page three.
01:14:13Ready!
01:14:14Ready!
01:14:19Everybody through the streets! Ready!
01:14:21Help the girls!
01:14:21Go! Go!
01:14:32Aim at the panels!
01:14:40Come on, Steve. We'd better get back to the lab right away.
01:14:43The original portal may still be open.
01:15:01They were going to be projet
01:15:42Doc, what's happening?
01:15:45Our calculations were not exact enough.
01:15:48We've returned too far back in time.
01:15:53Well, why aren't we...
01:15:54Why aren't we...
01:15:55Why aren't we...
01:15:55Why aren't we...
01:15:55Why aren't they moving?
01:15:58Somehow we've disrupted the time flow.
01:16:01It's as if we were existing outside of time in...
01:16:05Limbo.
01:16:08What do we do?
01:16:11What we came here for.
01:16:13Shut the machines down.
01:16:23They're frozen. I can't move them.
01:16:26Steve, look. Nothing can be moved.
01:16:45Hey, Doc.
01:16:48They are moving.
01:16:50Only so slow you can't see them.
01:16:52Like the hands on a watch.
01:16:54I'm in a different position now.
01:16:56I really am.
01:17:02He's right, Eric. He's right.
01:17:04We're right here with him.
01:17:06But we're living our lives at such an accelerated time rate.
01:17:09Such fantastic speed.
01:17:10That we'd only be fleeting shadows till they see us at all.
01:17:15You're right, Steve.
01:17:17We're all existing in a different time rate.
01:17:21Perhaps a million times faster than normal.
01:17:25It seems we are aging more than a year for every minute that goes by.
01:17:32In a few moments, we shall cease to exist.
01:17:37There's got to be a way out of this.
01:17:40This time trap.
01:17:42Time itself is an anachronism.
01:17:45We're compounding it by appearing here.
01:17:51Steve, I remember what happened.
01:17:53In a few seconds, the portal...
01:17:55Wait!
01:17:56There is a chance.
01:17:58What?
01:17:59The screen.
01:18:01But it's nothing.
01:18:02How do we know that?
01:18:03The image pulsation may be frozen in time like everything else.
01:18:07It's possible.
01:18:08The laser beam cycling had already been accelerated.
01:18:10The portal may still be open.
01:18:15To what?
01:18:17When?
01:18:22The time selector is at the extreme future.
01:18:25Past the 100,000 year mark.
01:18:34I...
01:18:34I can't change it.
01:18:37Let's find out if this thing is open.
01:18:40I don't know.
01:18:47No.
01:18:50You can't tell me.
01:18:54You can't tell me what you mean.
01:18:58I'm your figure out.
01:18:59I hope you've known.
01:19:09Oh!
01:19:12Wow!
01:19:16Older the controle landscape,
01:19:16My life...
01:19:20Come on, you've got to get going. I don't know what's out there. It's very dark.
01:19:23Steve, what will it be like after all these centuries? Are you sure?
01:19:28I'm sure of one thing. If we stay here, we die.
01:19:44All right, now everybody stay together. Grab each other's hand.
01:19:49It's very dark out there. Be careful. All right, Danny, get ready.
01:19:55Carol.
01:20:04Carol.
01:20:39I'm bringing the wheel back.
01:20:42What was that?
01:20:43What?
01:20:44I thought I saw something.
01:20:46Nothing.
01:20:47Time's elected back to plus six hours.
01:20:50Hold it.
01:20:51I'm going to open up the lace of cycling all the way.
01:20:55Steve!
01:20:56Take it back, take it back!
01:21:00Steve, you're overshooting.
01:21:01Take it back the other way.
01:21:02Get the power! Cut it!
01:21:06Wait a minute. Look!
01:21:34Bye!
01:21:35Oh, my God.
01:21:44I'll see you there.
01:21:45Oh, my God.
01:21:45Oh.
01:21:53The End
01:22:21The End
01:22:54The End
01:23:25The End
01:23:27The End
