Welcome everyone. You might have notice that I have been putting a few sword and sandal movies. I guess I've just been in the mood. I started playing that video game once again called Sword and Sandals. I had the original first game on my old computer and yes this old lady likes playing video games at times. I made to the wizard and let me tell you he's a hard one. Anywho on to our loincloth muscle bound movie. The title is a long one..The Devil of the Desert Against the Son of Hercules aka Anthar the invincible. Now you might ask why does it say Hercules when he isn't even in the movie. The lead character is Anthar. Well this is because the film was I believe part of a syndicated television series in Italy called The Sons of Hercules. They just loved throwing the name Hercules around, guess it would bring more viewers. Now on to the movie at hand. We have a beautiful Princess named Soraya who's father I believe is the Sultan is killed and the kingdom is taken over by the baddy Ganor. Soraya escapes and seeks help. When she is found by Anthar and his friend Aimu. Anthar listens to her story of whoa and decides to help. Let's the muscles flex. Staring in this tale we have Michèle Girardon as Princess Soraya, Manuel Gallardo as her brother Prince Daikor, perfectly tanned Kirk Morris as Anthar, Renato Baldini as Kamal,Mario Feliciani as Ganor, José Jaspe as Akrim and Nadine Verdier as a Slave Girl. So before we watch, let's have grape leaves stuffed with rice aka Dolmades and of course some red wine. Enough red wine and we'll hopefully enjoy this film. Thanks so much for watching
