00:00The U.S. conducting another round of strikes on Iran with U.S. Central Command writing
00:04on X, quote, CENTCOM forces struck Iranian military air defense systems, coastal radar
00:10sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats using U.S. fighter aircraft, naval
00:16vessels, one-way attack aerial drones, and one-way attack sea drones for the first time.
00:21The Strait of...
00:22Okay, okay, this is a big one, big one.
00:25The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade. Iran does not control it.
00:30The strikes follow new satellite images reportedly showing Iran may be working to rebuild their
00:35nuclear sites, despite strong warnings from President Trump. Fox News contributor and former
00:40CIA station chief Dan Hoffman joins me now. Dan, good morning to you.
00:43Photos show activity at Iran nuclear sites. They're using Ukrainian they have right now,
00:49and damn buddy, if they make nuclear bombs, that would be a great disaster.
00:55When this satellite imagery shows signs, the Iranian regime is rebuilding its suspected nuclear
01:02sites at Pickaxe Mountain and Parchin, which intel agencies have long suspected of housing
01:07nuclear enrichment activities deep underground. So the good news is that we know about this,
01:12the bad news is obvious. What do you make of these satellite images and what this dictates
01:19or indicates to us about Iran's desire to rebuild it. This is the June 19 and this is huge. Oh,
01:26wow.
01:26...facilities.
01:29Yeah, look, the satellite imagery is disturbing. It's it's only one piece of our intelligence collection.
01:34We also rely on our human sources and SIGINT collection. That's communications.
01:40We're talking about basically spies on the field, on the ground between Iranian officials as well.
01:47And so I'm sure that President Trump is receiving a detailed picture about the extent to which Iran
01:52is seeking to rearm and reconstitute...
01:55Okay, okay. This map shows the Iran's nuclear facilities or nuclear site, uranium mine, research
02:01factory, research reactor and military sites. Watch.
02:05...program. That's why they're fighting. That's why the Strait of Hormuz is a flashpoint.
02:09Iran isn't just fighting to disrupt global trade in the Strait of Hormuz. They're doing it to protect
02:14their nuclear program and they also want to protect their proxy terrorists like Hezbollah.
02:20They see an opportunity, they think, to reduce or eliminate US influence in the region and
02:25that would allow them to dominate. We're talking about Middle East. They want to cancel the US influence there.
02:34...the Gulf states. Their goal is to destroy Israel and obviously they want to attack the United States in doing
02:40so.
02:41So when it comes to the Strait, two senior Iranian sources told Reuters on July 8th that they consider
02:48its control of the Strait to be important leverage and that giving up such control would be tantamount to surrender.
02:55So they're not giving up the Strait of Hormuz. What should our next move be?
02:59U.S. Central Command said Iran does not control Hormuz. That's clear. That's very clear right now, okay?
03:10They're not giving up the Strait and fighting for the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is really in charge of
03:16this hardcore regime.
03:20It's the oxygen on which they rely really to stay in power. Negotiations have led nowhere and President Trump acknowledged
03:27that
03:29during his most recent comments over the weekend. The United States really needs to achieve escalation dominance.
03:35We need to open the Strait on our own and keep it open independently. There's some questions about whether there
03:40might be two routes,
03:41whether the Iranians would seek to have a... Which two routes? Okay. Which two routes are we really talking about?
03:47I really want to know about this thing. CIA? Cheese? Yes.
03:51...route on their side of the border and maybe there would be an open route in Oman. I'm not so
03:56sure that that would solve the challenge that we face, however.
03:59And again, Iran is using asymmetric warfare. They're using their drones and what's left of their missile capability to disrupt
04:07trade.
04:07And we've got to put a stop to that.
04:09So Axios, Stan, has this piece about how Senator Lindsey Graham spent his final weeks working on this ambitious push
04:16for Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with Israel. What are the chances that that ultimately happened?
04:22Well, well, well, well, we have breaking news right now. US Central Command launches new strikes on Iran right now.
04:31And if it does, how does that undercut Iran?
04:35Please.
04:36Well, I think the chances are less, frankly, now that Senator Graham is no longer with us.
04:41Oh, my God.
04:41He was such a sage voice on foreign policy, whether in the Middle East or in Ukraine. We'll miss his...
04:51We miss every ideology he has, the works he has done, and the more he can give us.
04:57Extraordinary impact on our national security.
05:00Muhammad bin Salman has made it pretty clear that there needs to be movement on a Palestinian state
05:05before Israel and Saudi Arabia establish diplomatic relations.
05:09And so I think there is a challenge.
05:11Iran knows that, which is why...
05:13Very well, very well.
05:13Hamas, and why Hamas has refused...
05:16Yes, they supported it there when U.S.
05:18...to disarm, even though that was supposed to be the first and next step towards achieving some peace in Gaza.
05:24Dan, thank you so much for joining us.
05:26Thank you so much.
