00:00England are just one match away from the World Cup final, as they prepare to face Argentina in a mouth
00:08-watering semi-final.
00:10Confidence is high after a series of resilient performances, with the squad showing character, quality and belief throughout the tournament
00:19so far.
00:21Argentina will provide a huge test, boasting attacking flair and plenty of experience, including Lionel Messi.
00:29But England know they have the talent to compete with the Argentinians.
00:35Fans are daring to dream for another famous night in North America, with excitement building across the country, ahead of
00:43what promises to be a gripping encounter.
00:47Victory would secure a place in the final and edge England closer to World Cup glory, the first since 1966.
00:55The celebrations after beating Norway were unforgettable, with fans pouring onto the streets to cheer, wave flags and sing long
01:04into the night.
01:07Now, there were also plenty of England fans who travelled from the UK to North America to support England against
01:16Norway.
01:17And there was one fan from Leeds who may not be returning back to Yorkshire as quickly as he first
01:24promised.
01:26Well, don't tell me why, but I've got a flight on Monday afternoon back to Manchester via Atlanta.
01:37So, just don't get the second leg, if you know what I mean.
01:40We did it in the end. We did it in the end. I knew we were going to be like
01:432-1-3-1.
01:45I knew we were going to score. I knew they were going to score.
01:48I knew they were going to make it hard for us. But I think we did a job on Ireland.
01:57I think we did a job on him.
01:59Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. But likewise against Mexico, 2-0 up. And then that got nervous as well.
02:07So, you never know with England. I think they could go all the way. I really think they could go
02:13all the way this time.
02:14What makes you say that?
02:15Just the quality in the squad. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely fantastic. They started off slow.
02:25They're coming strong now. They're coming strong. Which I knew they would. Yeah. All the way to the final.
02:34It's also the first time England will have played Messi in a World Cup.
02:40And if they beat Argentina, if they beat Messi, they will play Spain in the final.
02:46Who overcame France in their semi-final.
02:48It will be a rematch of the Euros in 2024 in Berlin.
02:53But first up, a game against Argentina and a game against Lionel Messi.
