00:15I'm Sam. I'm Jeff. This is our office for Shipley & Hamos and we're preparing for our show during New
00:22York Fashion Week.
00:22We started Shipley & Hamos about a year ago and moved from California out here to New York in July
00:29of this year.
00:37For Fashion Week this season we are doing a presentation. Our time slot is during the Super Bowl.
00:42So I really hope that all those fashion editors and buyers are really concerned about the Super Bowl.
00:48So I'm hoping that they come to our show.
00:50So this is our invite. Invitation is a fun thing for us. We always try to do interesting print work.
00:56Graphical styling on the back it has the Paisley which is a print that you'll see in the collection.
01:04This is Heidi Bivens and she is the stylist that we're going to be working with on the show this
01:09season.
01:09I'm excited about the fall collection. I wear every single piece of it.
01:16Honestly when she walked down the stairs she was like dressed like how I wished fall looked.
01:22You know like the thing I was like this is this is her.
01:24One of my favorite pieces from the collection is the high-waisted skirt.
01:27It's got sort of men's wear elements in the women's collection.
01:30You know but then it's got the three-quarter length sleeve and then the cut is very small and fitted
01:35which is extremely feminine.
01:37So yeah those are my favorite pieces.
01:39For the show we wanted to use a lot of collaboration with people that we're friends with.
01:43Talk to Phillip Crangie about doing our jewelry.
01:46We also brought on Wolford and Rapeto so we have a really good team of collaborators.
01:54A friend of mine from high school, Wells Stelberger, started a shoe line called Haichi.
02:00And so I was talking to him and I was wondering if he was interested in working with us in
02:05collaboration of designing the men's shoes for our show.
02:10We are going to Calexico burrito stand. It's a great California style burrito stand.
02:18This place is amazing. This is Calexico carne asada.
02:22Gourmet.
02:23Gourmet Mexican.
02:24You're getting chicken burrito?
02:25I'm getting carne asada.
02:27They're actually out of the pork right now.
02:28They're out of the pork.
02:31Every burrito needs to have some Cholula.
02:35Every designer has that last minute sort of panic of whether or not the clothes are going to come in
02:40or the samples aren't ready or this doesn't fit.
02:43It all comes down to like a week of madness.
02:47But that's the fun of doing that.
02:48That's kind of the part about being a fashion designer where it's like you've got to let it ride and
02:53what will happen will happen.
02:55And hopefully it comes out great.
