00:00Hey everyone, it's me, Jen, and welcome to my kitchen.
00:02Today, I'm going to be teaching you
00:04my favorite post-workout recipe.
00:06It's really simple, easy to make,
00:08no fire or cooking required.
00:10So let's get started.
00:14So what you're going to need are some fresh blueberries.
00:17These are organic, delicious, very in season.
00:20Next, you're going to get some pecans, some honey,
00:23and my favorite Greek yogurt.
00:25This is by Chobani.
00:26You can use whatever Greek yogurt you want,
00:28but just make sure it's plain
00:29because we're going to add some natural sugar in it.
00:32When you get Greek yogurt that's flavored,
00:34there's a lot of weird hidden ingredients they put in there,
00:37and I just want some natural sugar in my recipe.
00:39So it really depends how hungry you are.
00:42Maybe I'll do half a cup.
00:44I like to use Greek yogurt because it has so much protein in it.
00:48It's really awesome to just kind of regenerate your muscles
00:51and just keep your body feeling good.
00:54So after you've put in how much Greek yogurt you want,
00:57you add a fruit.
00:58And personally, I chose blueberries because they're low in calories
01:01and they've got tons of goodness in it.
01:03There's antioxidants and it's just really great for your body.
01:06So I just put in like a handful,
01:08how much ever you feel.
01:10Then you get some pecans.
01:12And I chose pecans because I wanted to add like a nut in it.
01:16There's a lot of good fats in nuts.
01:17And instead of granola adding that crunchy factor,
01:21I feel like nuts is a more healthy option
01:23because sometimes in granola,
01:25they'll put all that weird sugar, high fructose in it.
01:27And when you just get nuts,
01:29it's just the only ingredient is nuts, you know?
01:32So I like to just keep that ingredient list quite low.
01:37And then to kind of satisfy that sweet tooth,
01:39I'm going to add some honey.
01:41This is just some natural honey.
01:42It's right out of the bees hive.
01:44And I'm just going to put a little drizzle in it.
01:46I don't want to put too much in it
01:47because this isn't supposed to be like a, you know,
01:49an indulgent or decadent treat.
01:51It's just supposed to be something healthy
01:53and something that's good for your body.
01:55Bon appetit!
01:57So that was my quick recipe for a very healthy snack.
02:00And feel free to get creative with it.
02:02If you don't like blueberries,
02:03you can use raspberries, bananas, strawberries, anything.
02:06Greek yogurt is a great just foundation for any type of fruit.
02:10So go for it.
