00:01You can call it whatever you want.
00:03It is still a form of tattooing.
00:10I absolutely love the concept of giving this freedom to a woman
00:14to be able to wake up, not look like they had a ton of makeup,
00:18but yet look very fresh and very natural.
00:21I have gotten tattoos. I have quite a few.
00:24Two on my wrists. I have a little ghost.
00:27And I have two stick and pokes that my friend did.
00:30One on the back of my ankle, it's an evil eye,
00:32and the other a silhouette of a woman's body.
00:34I am a little hesitant and concerned that I am getting a tattoo on my eyelid.
00:40My name is Claudia, and I'm getting permanent eyeliner today.
00:43Doing my makeup every day is sometimes a little bit of a struggle.
00:47When I'm running from appointment to another appointment,
00:50I don't really want to have to worry about maintaining my looks.
00:54I started doing this back in the late 80s in Paris.
00:59I really love the concept of a woman looking beautiful and not having to put makeup,
01:06but I really didn't like the results because everything was so obvious and unnatural.
01:11I actually found that it was disfiguring the real freshness of youth.
01:16I found a way to give the woman that concept without making her look like she had done anything.
01:24Bonjour, je m'appelle Dominique Bossavi.
01:26Je suis la créatrice du concept de la beauté naturelle permanente.
01:31Some of my elite clients include Lina Denham, Jenna Dewan, Julie Bowen, Michelle Williams, and Megan Fox.
01:45When I first found out about Dominique, I was so fascinated.
01:48I loved the work that she did with her other clients and how incredible it just made the eye pop.
01:53I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and I'm definitely going to feel very flawless and fabulous after this whole procedure.
02:08Overdoing permanent makeup is never a good idea.
02:11The number one advice I give to my client is to go for the useful look rather than the glamorous
02:18look.
02:18If you go that way permanently, you'll never have that opportunity to look fresh again.
02:25There are different techniques and different tools for different procedures.
02:31For the eyeliner, we will use a less invasive needle that will be very gentle to the fine skin.
02:42It's very important to seek out a qualified expert with this procedure becoming such a trend.
02:50A lot of people with as little as a month's training are offering this service.
02:55The percentage of unhappy women who come to me in the hope to get fixed is rising.
03:02And it's hard-wrenching to see the damage that's been done to those women.
03:08And the disfiguration sometimes is beyond repair.
03:13I think there are definitely some misconceptions around permanent makeup because there are those horror stories.
03:20My biggest fear is I hope it doesn't bleed or fade or possibly not fade if I don't keep up
03:26with going in for retouches.
03:31I could do this with my eyes closed. Do you want me to show you?
03:34Oh, no, no, no, no, no. This is going to be a piece of cake.
03:39First, I am going to clean the area.
03:44I then place a little knob in cream with the Q-tip.
03:51Once I put my magnifying glasses and gloves, then I will custom blend the pigments in the tray.
04:00I'm going to stop very gently. If there's anything, you tell me, I stop right away.
04:07We just want to create the illusion of thicker lashes.
04:12The little blade does the work and you hear a slight buzzing noise.
04:20Tiptoeing in to make the lightest puncture possible to implant the pigment in a gentle manner.
04:31The feeling range from feeling the vibration to a little scratch on their eyelashes.
04:43I go over each section two or three times.
04:52This will ensure the proper amount of pigment implanted into the lash line.
05:03After I completed the procedure on Claudia, my first reaction was how open her eyes became.
05:11But I felt that she could use a little bit more on the tail to give her that soft, dull
05:17look.
05:21We went back and I added a little bit on the corner and it was just perfect.
05:28The great thing with this procedure is that right from the get-go, you can start racking up the compliments.
05:34Go to a red carpet event and nobody will ever know you had anything down to your eyes.
05:40When I looked at the final results, it looked amazing.
05:44I didn't have any mascara on.
05:46My eyes instantly popped.
05:48I felt really beautiful and confident and I owned who I was.
05:52It wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be.
05:55It was actually really relaxing.
05:56Dominique is really gentle and I didn't feel a thing.
06:00All of the built-up anticipation and stress that I was creating in my head was for nothing.
06:06It's extremely important to follow the aftercare to ensure a good result.
06:12The permanent eyeliner has faded.
06:14It's practically gone, to be quite honest.
06:17But Dominique's technique is she does it lightly the first time around because she wants to see how your skin
06:24and your body reacts to the procedure.
06:26Which I actually respect and appreciate because everyone's skin complexion and DNA is different.
06:34I'm actually going in next week when I return from my vacation to get the second round done and I'm
06:39so excited because I enjoyed it so much the first time around that I can't wait to have it done
06:45the second time.
06:45Thank you so much for watching. For more videos click here and to subscribe click here.
