00:27and I was playing piano where it was like, oh, this isn't cute anymore.

00:41I've always loved beautiful nails and so it wasn't a hard choice on what to do in terms of the
00:49business.
00:50For someone who bites their nails, I would recommend them to always have nail polish on
00:54so then it kind of motivates them not to touch their nails or put it near their mouth.
00:58I can't remember a time when I was shamed for having short nails or bitten nails at a nail salon.
01:04Everyone has always been very gentle but it's always been like an encouragement to like,
01:10do better next time.
01:11My nail goals are to have nails long enough so that I don't need nail extensions.
01:17I'm most anxious about all the machines.
01:19I know it's like just nails but for me it's like, this is terrifying.
01:25Whatever the machine is, we're like, that is so scary to me every single time.
01:31I am nervous about this procedure.
01:36The first step is prepping Ashley's nails.
01:39We check for any scabs, any cuts.
01:43As part of the prepping, I did cut Ashley's nails and I will do some cuticle care.
02:06And then I will add the nail tips.
02:13Using the e-file, I will smooth out the ridges from the nail tips.
02:21After prepping and priming, I did apply the base powder to build up the foundation of the nail extensions.
02:33And then you'll see me apply the two coats of color.
02:56After that will be the top coat.
03:02And now for the fun part, I will carefully apply rhinestones to one of her nails.
03:09And voila!
03:26Look at me, like, gesticulating my hands because I can without having to worry about whether you're looking at, like,
03:33the bitten nails.
03:34With an up-close view of the application, you can see how dip powder can transform your nails.
03:39It's super painless.
03:40They're not actually, like, painting your nails, or they're literally dipping your fingers in powder.
03:45Like, it's true to its name.
03:48In my opinion, I like the dip powder over the gel because it is more durable.
03:53It does have the added vitamin and calcium inside the dip powder, so it's a healthier alternative if you want
03:59to grow out your nails.
04:00It was great working with Ashley because she let us be creative with her nails.
04:04Working with Sue and Tui was really painless.
04:07My mind, like, could go all the places, and some of those places are like, well, if she keeps going,
04:14she's going to get whatever's underneath the nails.
04:17It always gives me joy when clients walk out with more confidence.
04:20We have rhinestones, we have chrome, we have glitter, but it all feels really cohesive because they're all in the
04:27same sort of color palette.
04:28There are no nails to bite now, so this is totally going to prevent me from biting my nails, and
04:33I don't want to put this in my mouth because it's so pretty.
04:36Like, why would I want to do that?
04:37I would totally recommend dip powder nail extensions.
