00:00All of our like incredible before and afters
00:03are from DMK enzymes.
00:04What it does is it actually heals the tissue
00:07due to lymphatic drainage.
00:09So it helps flush out impurities,
00:11reducing inflammation, active acne.
00:14So really good for repairing your barrier,
00:17which is the key to healthy skin.
00:25Hey, it's Carly and today I am in Hollywood
00:27to try out the DMK enzyme therapy facial.
00:31That is a mouthful of words.
00:33Will it be worth the time, the money?
00:35Would I recommend it to a friend?
00:36Would I try it again?
00:37I don't know, but let's go find out.
00:41I have been very interested in the enzyme therapy treatment
00:44for a while now.
00:46During COVID, I actually did try like an at home version
00:50where I was looking like a grandma.
00:51I've seen this type of facial treatment all over social media.
00:56So I'm excited to try it out myself professionally.
01:00My skin concerns usually around hyperpigmentation
01:03and I get a lot of little like bumps.
01:06And just because of the pigment of my skin,
01:09I scar a lot easier.
01:10I have been traveling nonstop.
01:12I never sleep.
01:14Naturally, my skin is retaliating from that.
01:16So that is also why I want to get this treatment done.
01:21Hi, I'm Jules.
01:22I am the business owner of Face of Jules
01:24and licensed esthetician.
01:27DMK is actually one of our most popular treatments
01:31that we offer here.
01:32So it's really good for healing compromised skin.
01:36DMK enzymes should be done if the person has active acne
01:39or rosacea biweekly.
01:41So we'll get them on like, for instance, like an acne bootcamp,
01:44and they'll be coming in periodically as consistent as possible
01:47for a good like four to six sessions.
01:49And then they'll taper off.
01:51So for someone who hasn't been to our location before,
01:54we'll get what's known as a first time enzyme.
01:56That one is 350.
01:57And the reason it's a little bit more
01:58is because they're actually getting sent home
02:00with a custom product routine
02:02that will last anywhere from about four to six weeks.
02:05And then for repeat enzymes, it would be 250,
02:08which allows it to be more affordable.
02:10We can actually do it on all areas.
02:12So we can treat back acne.
02:13We can treat cellulite.
02:15I think the face to me,
02:18because I've actually dealt with cystic acne,
02:20is everything.
02:21Because if someone is self-conscious about their skin,
02:24they avoid social settings.
02:26You hide.
02:27You are self-conscious.
02:28You're packing on the makeup.
02:29So I do think you can literally change someone's life
02:32by correcting their skin concern.
02:34Hi. Hi.
02:35Nice to meet you. I'm Harley.
02:37So good to meet you.
02:38So first, enzyme.
02:38I know. I'm so excited.
02:40Good day.
02:41And have you had one of these before or first ever?
02:43So I've tried like an at-home one, but the...
02:46The baby enzyme.
02:47The baby.
02:48Yeah.
02:48We're going hardcore.
02:49We're going, yeah, in it to win it today.
02:50So that one's one-third the strength.
02:52So you got like a taste of it,
02:54but you will be locked in for 45 minutes.
02:56All right. Should we do this?
02:58Let's do it.
03:00I'm not nervous to be under this like very tight mask.
03:05I'm actually very much looking forward to it.
03:10So a standard enzyme takes anywhere from, I would say, an hour and a half to an hour and 45
03:15minutes.
03:16So first thing, stepping into the enzyme is going to be a thorough cleanse.
03:22So I'm using a combination of what's called deep pour along with milk cleanser.
03:28And this is just removing impurities, toxins, just kind of paving the way for the enzyme and
03:34nutrients to be able to better absorb.
03:37Next step is going to be a concentrate of kojic acid in addition to 20% ascorbic acid,
03:44which is essentially a potent form of vitamin C.
03:49As we're applying the enzyme, we're going to go ahead and apply across the chest,
03:53up the lymph nodes and along the face.
04:03And as this hardens, there's essentially three steps to this enzyme.
04:08So for the first 15 minutes, the skin is actually being detoxified.
04:13People wonder why it hardens the way it does.
04:17The active ingredient is actually egg whites.
04:19For the second portion of the enzyme, around 15 to 20 minutes,
04:24she will start feeling a strong form of lymphatic drainage.
04:27So it literally feels like her heart is in the center of her face.
04:32I feel it pulsing.
04:34So the enzyme itself feels very alive, very potent.
04:38It's a really interesting sensation that you can't really describe with words,
04:42but she's just riding it out.
04:45The last bit is the exciting part where the collagen and elastin fibers are being produced.
04:51And that's actually the most vital portion.
04:53And that's that last 15 minute segment.
04:57And as we're removing the enzyme, going in with that deep pore cleanser,
05:02coupled with the milk cleanser, the active lipids are actually breaking down the enzyme.
05:08So this for most people is the best part because they're finally getting free
05:13from what I call the DMK prison.
05:18As far as the aftercare products, the skin is like a wet sponge.
05:23So we want to go ahead and apply all these active products,
05:26vitamins, nutrients into the skin because your skin is able to receive them.
05:41So do I need to worry about anything afterwards, any care that I need to know of?
05:46No, not at all.
05:47So the main thing is just no exfoliants, scrubs, retinols, anything like that for about two to three
05:52days. So less is more. When you look in the mirror, just don't be alarmed. You will have kind of
05:56a band
05:56of redness where the initial enzyme was applied. It will tone down. So a lot of people are like,
06:01what did you do to me? Don't sue me. Totally, totally norm. It's actually again like an after
06:07effect from the treatment that just means that it worked. I would recommend continuing with the DMK
06:12protocol that again, you'll be sent home with. And the other thing, just drink a boatload of water.
06:17So because this was a form of lymphatic drainage, it will actually amplify the results if you stay
06:22hydrated. Got it. Chug water. Thank you so much. Of course. Such a pleasure. Wow. What a ride.
06:28Yeah. Welcome back. Here she is. And you were literally glowing. So enjoy.
06:33My DMK enzyme treatment experience was fantastic. This experience was way more intense than my little
06:41baby facial that I did at home a few years ago. At one point, it did kind of feel like
06:46someone was
06:47choking me. But eventually once I like settled into the, I'm not going to say suffocating, but you
06:52know, that like feeling, then I was able to chill and I'm pretty sure I like slept a little bit.
06:58Definitely had a dream. 45 minutes of just feeling that product like shrink on your face is wild.
07:05And the pulsing was crazy. I feel like my skin feels so smooth. I'm excited to see how it's going
07:12to look
07:12over the next few days. That is not your average facial. That's for sure. Anyone could benefit from
07:17an experience like this. I would do it again and I would recommend it to a friend. Jules is amazing.
07:23She explained everything to me. It made me feel super comfortable. I will be documenting how my skin
07:28is looking over the next few days because I am very curious how it's going to look. So this is
07:34the night
07:34of the treatment. The redness has pretty much gone down. My skin is actually looking super smooth.
07:43I have this like dry patch here and I actually noticed that it kind of went away after the
07:50treatment. So that's exciting. It has been a few days. I have been following my little DMK skincare
07:56routine to a T and it clearly is helping because my skin looks incredible. Also, my skin is just like
08:04super glowy. It feels just clear. It's smooth. I don't have as many bumps. Overall, I'm a fan.
08:12This is the best my skin has looked in a long time. And this is after long days of traveling
08:17and little to no sleep. So yeah, I'm impressed. To watch more videos like this, subscribe below.
08:34So yeah, I'll see you next time.
08:36Bye.
08:38Bye.
08:43Bye.
08:45Bye.
