00:01Midnight is nearly here. I wonder how you'll explain yourself.
00:05The sky has rules, Lord Vane. It won't hurry because you're impatient, or wake because you're smug.
00:26The meteor. It's real. A blessed child. She really read the heavens.
00:36Excellent. Evelyn Ashburn, you are as brilliant as they say.
00:45Lord Vane, what do you have to say now?
00:51Guards, seize him. Throw him into the tower prison. Investigate his ties to House Ravenhalf.
01:06Evelyn Ashbrington, though young, you have shown courage and wisdom.
01:10First you exposed a Ravenwilth spy. Now you revealed Lord Vane's false omen and predicted the meteor exactly.
01:19A wonder like this is rare in any age. Today I name you Princess of Ospi, with noble statement, a
01:27golden royal tablet, one thousand gold crowns, one hundred bolts of silk, and a chest of eastern pearls.
01:34From now on, anyone who harms you offends the crown itself.
01:48You're home, my brave girl. I knew you could do it. Our Evelyn is a blessing from heaven.
01:57Ten lives of work. And in this one, I finally have a real home.
02:10The southern silk trade is down another thirty percent this year. The managers blame the river route change, but I
02:17hear someone has been sabotaging us.
02:22House Ravenhalf has been purged, but not every hidden agent is gone.
02:28Several northern shops were framed for smuggling salt and sealed by officials.
02:34Trouble is hitting us from every side.
02:41Grandfather, Daddy, what's got you so worried?
02:47Our little princess is back. These are ledgers, sweetheart. Business numbers. Children don't usually understand them.
02:56Grandfather, this account is wrong. Three thousand two hundred bolts at twelve crowns each should be thirty eight thousand four
03:04hundred. This says thirty thousand four hundred. Three thousand are missing.
03:14Evelyn, you can read liegers.
03:18Is that hard? I watched Daddy do it.
03:24Go south! Bring that thieving manager back and turn him over to the magistrate!
03:29And recover every missing crown. Not one coin less.
03:40From now on, our family accounts go through you, my little treasury.
03:45Grandfather, Daddy, count every item in those shops.
03:50Make sealed inventory lists. When officials inspect them, compare everything to the lists.
03:58Anything extra was planted. That becomes your proof.
04:02Of course! Why didn't I think of that?
04:16Our little princess gets more impressive by the day.
04:20Tell me, Evelyn, what else would you do with our businesses?
04:24Shops that lose money should close or get new managers. Shops that make money need more investment and wider roots.
04:33The bookshop can sell illustrated stories and famous paintings.
04:37The apothetery should hire a real doctor, treat patients, and sell medicine.
04:41We own land in the south, grow our own maltberry trees, raise silk firms, build our own weaving houses, control
04:48the whole chain, and costs drop by half.
04:50Then profit multiplies, and no one can choke our silk trade from the shadows.
04:57Do it! We do exactly what Evelyn says.
05:03I've lived over 60 years, and today a one-year-old taught me how to run a business.
05:17Evelyn, you really are our lucky star.
05:26My lord! Lady Evelyn, someone from the palace is here. Queen Helena sums Lady Evelyn tomorrow.
05:34She wants to thank her for the media prophecy and spend time with her.
05:46There she is, our little princess. Come here. Let me hold you. You've grown even prettier.
05:55Evelyn Ashton, gifted by heaven, blessed by fortune, you helped the crown expose traitors and brought honor to your house.
06:02I grant you a gold and jade protection locket, ten chests of eastern pearls, one hundred bolts of red silk,
06:10and permission to visit the palace often.
06:12We thank your majesty for your grace.
06:23Little princess, her majesty said you must keep it close. May it guard your life and bring you peace.
06:29Thank you. Please tell her majesty I will remember her kindness.
06:48Our Evelyn is truly heaven's blessing. With you here, House Ashburn will know peace and glory for generations.
06:59My legitimate granddaughter was born with heaven's favor and royal grace.
07:05One day she will protect House Ashburn's legacy for a hundred years.
07:12Evelyn, Evelyn, I don't need you famous. I don't need you powerful. I just want you safe, happy, and loved.
07:22Be our family's little blessing forever.
07:28I want to stay with grandfather, grandmother, and daddy. I'll protect our home, and we'll always be happy.
07:38I wanted wealth so big it could break the sky. But this life gave me something better. A family that
07:47loves me. A home worth protecting. This time, I'm going to live well.
