00:00Just how is the battle shaping up to buy Triple C? Yeah, it's an interesting one because we haven't really
00:06seen a sizable, I say sizable, a sizable enough software to take private in some time. This one kind of
00:12has it all. We've got Copart, which is an almost $30 billion public company that sort of specializes in and
00:18around selling used and salvaged car titles. Going off to Triple C, which sort of sells software that feeds into
00:26the P&C insurance market.
00:29Copart is going up against Veritas and GTCR, two private equity firms that we both know quite well in and
00:35around the software world. And I think just on this outskirts, as I say, it has everything. There is also
00:39Elliott in the stock. Elliott has been engaging with the firm with a sizable position through its private equity arm,
00:45which gives you a little bit of something different, I think, in this case.
00:49Hey, Ryan, just 30 seconds. Software has been under pressure. Why is this so attractive to so many?
00:54It's a good question. I mean, you could kind of make this case for a lot of other companies in
00:58and around this sort of, you know, sub $5 billion market cap area.
01:01I think in this case, there are some positive headwinds in and around car sales, car, the car market generally.
01:08I think you could also make the bear case that the advent of autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles are actually
01:14lowering repair costs as they're supposedly crashing less or less often.
01:19So, yeah, I think this one should be interesting to watch. Let's see what happens.
