My feet have been absolutely cooked lately β€” I've had the same running shoes and the same insoles for 8 years. Every run ends in blisters, but honestly, getting 8 years out of one pair is a solid run. Still, it's time to finally upgrade.

This is the honest reality of running on gear way past its lifespan β€” the cushioning is gone, the support is gone, and my feet have been paying the price every single session. Moving onto better shoes and better insoles is long overdue, and I'm excited to actually feel the difference once I make the switch instead of fighting through blisters every time I lace up.

Sometimes you don't realize how much old gear is holding you back until you finally upgrade. How long have you had your current running shoes?

00:00So look, as you can probably see, my feet have been getting absolutely cooked by these running
00:07shoes. I've had these running shoes for probably eight years and I've had the soles in these
00:16running shoes the same amount of time. So it's easy to say it's time for an upgrade because
00:25my feet hurt so much after I run. I'm starting to get blisters because there's now holes that are
00:33appearing inside the shoe. It feels like it's uneven on the bottom now, but I got eight years
00:40out of these things. Why you might ask? Because I don't like change that much. And if it's not broke,
00:47don't fix it. If it hurts you a little bit, but you can suffer through, then why not keep it?
00:52But
00:53we are moving on to better things.
