00:00I tell you what, I was going to ask you this in this interview is, you know, you've been a
00:04part of now two Ryder Cup winning teams, which is a goal of yours is just to be on a
00:08Ryder Cup team.
00:09Now you've been a part of a home and an away winning Ryder Cup team with a great group of
00:14guys and basically the same team two years in a row.
00:17You've won a Scottish Open, which is, you know, I would call it your major championship outside of the majors.
00:22You know, if Bob, if you win a major championship, you know, over the next five years, could you walk
00:28away from this game just being happy with what you've accomplished and go back home to Scotland call it a
00:33day?
00:35Honestly, I say that to so many people now that if I win a major, if I win a major
00:41championship and something happens and I go, you know what?
00:46I don't want to play this game again.
00:49I would have completed, absolutely completed my life, my professional golf goals, or even, not even goals, dreams.
01:00I don't really set goals.
01:01It's just like, I dreamed of playing, playing in a Scottish Open.
01:07And then once I got in a Scottish Open, I dreamed of winning a Scottish Open.
01:09And like, I just, yeah, I just, I dream of things and the last thing that I dream that I've
01:18not achieved is a major championship.
01:21You've been close.
01:22I mean, even if, even, but even if my, like, even if I don't win another golf tournament from now
01:28till the end, I mean, I would say I've done all right.
01:31And I've achieved almost everything that I've, I've set out and dreamed of and I'd be reasonably satisfied with this,
01:41but we're all golfers.
01:43We all, we're always chasing, we're always learning that.
01:48I mean, it doesn't matter how good you are.
01:50Like, last year, Scottish Heffler would have been trying to get better.
01:54Yeah.
01:54I mean, how do you get better?
01:55I mean, I know, I'm standing in my position, I know, well, Scottish Heffler is the top.
02:05He's statistically the best player on the planet, so I can get better.
02:09But he is like, he's the top, so can you get better?
02:14But for me, it's like, just, let's keep getting better bit by bit.
02:18And it comes, it goes and it waves.
02:20Like this year, my driving and putting's been brilliant.
02:22My own play's been poor.
02:23My own chipping's been okay.
02:26And it's like, well, let's just get better at that area.
02:30Keep these all the same.
02:31And you're just going to keep getting closer and closer to that goal.
02:35And you just never know.
02:37I mean, watching, watching a good mate of mine, Foxy, when they open, I mean, just got to get it.
02:45When you're not, when you're not like the top three or four in the world, it feels like the pitch
02:50up at every major championship and one of them is going to be in with a chance or a few
02:56of them are going to be in with a chance.
02:57The rest of us, it's like, let's hope that it's that week that you hit form and it's your week.
03:04It's enough.
03:05It's a shame we only have four of them, man.
