04:51There are so many more positive conversations about him than have ever been in his time in
04:56Cleveland about Deshaun Watson.
04:59The fan base, I'm willing to say 90% wanted Shador Sanders to take this job, and the other
05:0610% don't think either of them are very good and are just ready to move on to 2027.

05:18And also, you'll probably end up playing the majority of the season, because I don't
05:23know anybody who has a lot of faith that Deshaun Watson's going to be able to turn it

05:37We called it politics.

05:43You got a new coach, fresh perspective, different offense, all those things.
05:47It can't all be a conspiracy.
05:49It can't all be everybody's conspiring against him.

05:55You had your chance.
05:56If you don't seize that opportunity, you might need a little bit more seasoning, like a lot

06:02Now, the famous example is 2012, the Seattle Seahawks.
06:07They had incumbent quarterback Tavares Jackson.
06:10They had signed Matt Flynn in free agency, and then they drafted somebody in the third
06:15round in Russell Wilson, which I think even at the time, there were people that thought
06:20even Russ was maybe overdrafted just because they couldn't get over his size.
06:25I know that ex-wife of his was excited.
06:27Right.
06:27So he ends up coming into camp, and guys, he was undeniable.
06:33It was undeniable.
06:34There was no, hey, we invested in this free agent quarterback, and oh, Tavares Jackson was
06:40here.
06:40No, it didn't matter because he was undeniable.
06:45And the reality is Shador has not been undeniable, and that's what you have to be to be able to
06:50seize hold.
06:52And actually, I don't even think he had to be undeniable.
06:53He just had to be really good.
06:54And he hasn't been really good.
06:55So short of all those other things, like, yeah, he's battling it out with a quarterback
07:01we all think is probably going to get replaced fairly early on in the season.
07:05He's still going to get an opportunity.
07:06I ask this all the time.
07:08For all the, quote, sabotage, which Shador's camp puts out that term all the time, they feel
07:13like he was sabotaged last year.
07:14Then they said, well, we're not saying sabotage this year, and now they're saying sabotaged again,
07:18whether it's Jerry, Judy dropping balls or whatever.
07:21So how many coaches do we have to go through before he's no longer sabotaged?
07:23Well, that's what I mean.
07:25And now he got seven games last year.
07:28He's going to get more games this year.
07:30That's a dream come true for a fifth round.
07:32For any guy drafted day three, yes.
07:35That's a dream come true.
07:36You should thank your lucky stars.
07:38You should say, we have been blessed beyond belief to have this opportunity.
07:42But because in their head, Mel Kuyper once said he was the top quarterback on the board,
07:47they are going to cling to that forever as if it was the birthright for Shador Sanders
07:52to get drafted at the top of the first round, never mind the fact that every report that's
07:57ever come out was he sabotaged himself.
07:59Him and his camp sabotaged himself in the draft process.
08:02They only wanted to go certain places.
08:04They couldn't answer certain questions.
08:06He turned people off that came and talked to him.
08:09That is a reality because he fell to the fifth round.
08:12That's how I know it's a reality.
08:13And now he's got to try to make up for that missed, squandered opportunity.
08:19And he's trying.
08:20I'm not even going to say he's failed to do it because I think they're going to put the
08:24football in his hands eventually.
08:25And he's going to get a chance to do it.
08:27I think he'll be able to start in September.
08:29And he's going to have an offensive line newly rebuilt.
08:32And by then, by the way, it looked good yesterday, that hopefully will have gelled by then.
08:36He might even actually have a running game to go.
08:38And now he's got weapons.
08:40Guys, Shador has not been wronged.
08:43He's been blessed.
08:45That's the term you should be looking for.
08:47Everybody hasn't been sabotaged.

08:51And he's going to be blessed with the opportunity because he's in Cleveland and nowhere else
08:54to actually get a chance to quarterback for the Browns.
