00:26Well, we've had so much golf going on in the sports news here in the state of Michigan this summer.
00:33And one of those storylines is, of course, Live Golf, which was supposed to come to Plymouth for the Michigan
00:41team championship.
00:41It was going to be their season finale.
00:43It was supposed to take place next weekend, right?
00:47They lost the funding.
00:49Every Saudis backed out.
00:51Everything's they have no money.
00:53Players are leaving the tour.
00:54They're not.
00:55They canceled the Michigan team championship.
00:56I hate to see it.
00:57So people are doing a lot of reporting on Live, right?
00:59And for those golf fans that watch and follow and play the sport avidly like myself, can we hearken back
01:06to April of this year when a noted Live golfer by the name of Sergio Garcia was on the tee
01:14box at Augusta National in the final round on Sunday?
01:17He hit what by, I'm not kidding, Mike, 99.5% of anyone who has ever played golf would constitute
01:28this as a good drive.
01:29They'd be extremely happy.
01:31They'd be extremely happy.

01:33And his reaction to this said drive was to slam his club into the most hallowed ground in golf three
01:42times and then kick the little advertising tee marker on his way by and throw equivalent to a three-year
01:50-old having an absolute temper.
01:52And he did it at Augusta, which is even worse because they're the snootiest people on the planet.
01:56Literally the most hallowed ground in golf.
01:59And he received discipline from Augusta, and I'm sure he got fined and had a nice talking to whatever.
02:04But Sergio is a Masters champion, so if there's any leeway anyone gets from Augusta, it's someone that has won
02:12there before.
02:12But what did he do now?
02:14Well, he didn't do anything now, but we learned today that Sergio, who is one of the champions of the
02:21Live Tour and one of the most outspoken golfers,
02:24to leave the PGA Tour and defect to live for a number of reasons, we learned.
02:31Have you ever heard of Yassir al-Rumayan?

02:36He's the governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, i.e. he decides where the money goes.
02:44The Saudi PIF is what was funding, in terms of like $4 billion, is what was funding the Live Tour
02:55almost entirely.
02:56And Sergio did this in front of this cat?

02:59Sergio just did this at Augusta National in a major tournament that had players from Live and the PGA Tour,

03:05Yassir al-Rumayan, according to a report today from the Financial Times, written by two reporters,
03:14a source close to the situation said Rumayan was so embarrassed by what Garcia did,
03:21it helped lead to his decision to defund the Live Tour.
03:28The reason Live will not be back next year, most likely, is due in part to one of its champion

03:36and one of my least favorite golfers in the world, throwing a temper tantrum at Augusta National.
03:42But isn't temper tantrums what golf is all about?

03:44Isn't that what happens on the course every weekend for the average guy?
03:48If you do this, like, it is easy to get frustrated at the game of golf.

04:23If you do physical damage to the golf course, that is completely faux pas in the world of
