00:00Let me take you to the NFL here.
00:02Coach, how would you handle the Cleveland situation
00:04between Shador Sanders and Deshaun Watson?
00:08Well, after, you know, the first game you watched
00:12and you said, oh, Deshaun, you haven't played in a while.
00:14It looked pretty good, you know.
00:15And the second game, obviously, Shador looked much more comfortable
00:19inside the pocket, went through his progressions,
00:23threw the ball nicely.
00:24And when you listen to Deshaun speak, to me, it was like he's done.
00:31He's done.
00:32He's just done.
00:33I mean, I think he's tired of playing in Cleveland.
00:36He probably needs to go somewhere else.
00:38And probably the organization needs to understand that, too.
00:41And I understand they paid him a lot of money.
00:43But remember this one.
00:46Russell Wilson was owed about $25 million or something like that,
00:49wasn't he?
00:50When they said, you know what, we got to move on.
00:53And they moved on.
00:54And Seattle ended up going, you know, to the playoffs.
00:57I mean, so eventually, if you're the Cleveland Browns,
00:59you got to figure this thing out and say, hey, look,
01:02we got to, if Shador's the guy, let him be the guy,
01:06and let's move on.
01:08Because we know this.
01:11If Shador doesn't meet the billing after a year of playing football,
01:16there's seven quarterbacks coming out this year.
01:19Seven, right?
01:20In the draft.
01:21There's seven of them.
01:22We mentioned one of them aren't.
01:24There's a bunch of them coming.
01:26So Cleveland will be in position.
01:28If it doesn't work out, they'll be in position to get a quarterback.
01:31Coach, how do you have that come-to-Jesus conversation with Deshaun Watson?
01:37Like, you're sitting down.
01:39You're there.
01:39You're Todd Munkin.
01:40You've been in this position.
01:42I mean, you know, I don't think fans understand.
01:45You know, sometimes guys are shooting stars.
01:48They'll be great for a small period of time.
01:51Or there's some guys that are going to be great for a long period of time.
01:54Back end of their contracts.
01:55Front end of their contracts.
01:57How do you deal with a guy that was so great in Houston?
02:01And you see what's going on now.
02:03Is it environment coach?
02:05Is it coaching?
02:06What happened to Deshaun Watson?
02:09Well, I think he's lost his mojo.
02:12And when you stand before the media and you start talking about the fans booing you, that's never a good
02:18sign.
02:18It's just not.
02:19You're hearing the noise.
02:21You can't hear the noise.
02:22And he's been through a lot.
02:24Now, he brought a lot of this on his own.
02:27But these fans right now, I mean, I'm not saying you've got to get ready for the fans.
02:31But I just think it's gotten to the point to where, like he said, I got 17 road games.
02:38Wow.
02:39Who wants to hear that from your starting quarterback?
02:42That has to play at home.
02:45He's saying the home game's a road game because when he plays quarterback, the fans don't like it.
02:49Now, I'll say this.
02:50Throw a couple touchdown passes, eh.
02:53They may calm down a little bit.
02:56Win a couple games, they may calm down a little bit.
02:58But he has to understand that.
03:01He's the only guy that can fix it when he plays.
03:05Because fans, as mad as they are right now at him, they win some games and he goes and throws
03:12a couple touchdown passes and starts playing really good.
03:15The fans will go, well, okay.
03:17I guess he's our quarterback.
03:20The dog pounds, just like every other fan base, selective amnesia when you start winning, right?
03:25When you start winning, that's what ends up happening.
03:27That's out something.
03:28That's out something.
