Video posted to social media on Saturday showed an orange glow rising above the mountain line in Reno, Nevada as the Hawk Fire burned. A line of flames snaking across the mountains sent clouds of smoke billowing over the area late into the night. The Hawk fire grew to 10,523 acres, mapping platform Perimeter Map said. Reno Police asked residents to refer to Perimeter Map for evacuation information. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency in Washoe County due to the fire.
