00:00These are really important because they enable Ukraine to make their own decisions about their own actions.
00:05And after all, Ukraine is a sovereign country. It should be able to make its own risk assessments, its own
00:10decisions.
00:11And I'm very glad that we're supporting them in that way.
00:14One thing I would say, though, is if we are going to support others to defend themselves, and that's the
00:19right thing to do,
00:20we should also be making sure that we're defending ourselves at home.
00:23And what we've just seen in the UK, and we've just seen it reported about a power plant in the
00:28UK that was knocked out for four days because of Iranian cyber action,
00:32is we know that Iran and Russia are both demonstrating that they can find holes in our defences and that
00:38they can undermine us.
00:39And that's why resilience at home is so important.
00:41So while it's important that Andy Burnham goes to Kiev for today's Independence Day celebrations in Ukraine,
00:47it's also important that his ministers in the UK call the agency heads together and make sure that the National
00:54Cyber Security Centre
00:55and the National Protective Service are all getting together and making sure that our critical national infrastructure is safe.
