00:03Well let me show you how to make a bee watering station.
00:11So what you need to make this is a large terracotta pot which I'm going to place
00:16upside down, a saucer or a small bowl, a selection of stones or pebbles and some fresh water.
00:23The first thing we're going to do is fill our saucer with some stones. Now I have chosen some
00:29of these kind of white iridescent stones because I just liked the look of them. So I'm going to place
00:35these in and as I do so I'm just going to make some little mounds and that is because bees
00:41can't swim
00:42so we want to make sure we can create some little landing spots for them. You'll see here that I've
00:46also got some brightly coloured stones that I've painted and then I've varnished and I'm going to
00:52add these in too because bees are attracted to really bright colours. So this is just to indicate
00:59them that this is a watering station for them to use. So now we're going to add some water and
01:05the
01:05idea is to fill it just enough so that the water's sitting just below the stones. To add to this
01:12look
01:13you could add things like shells or you could also pop in some moss. Moss is nice because it retains
01:19water really well, it looks good and it just creates another little texture for the insects to land on.
