00:37Maybe that defense takes a step up because I'm not sold on the offense here with Detroit.
00:44For Detroit, what we know, the one thing that I continue to look out for them would be the the
00:51secondary play for them.
00:53And that's one of the things that I think is going to determine a lot because, you know, they have
00:59some decent safeties back there.
01:00The cornerbacks are really the issue, as it has been for a couple of seasons.
01:05And that's going to determine a lot of what the Detroit Lions do and are forced to do, because if
01:12they are forced to get into higher scoring games,
01:15I think the yards and the scoring of the Lions will naturally come just because it has to.
01:21Is that the ideal way that Dan Campbell wants to do things? Probably not.
01:26We know that they brought in Isaiah Pacheco in the offseason, and there were some reports that Kareem Hunt today
01:32actually was visiting with the Lions because Pacheco's been banged up.
01:37So if they have to refill the David Montgomery role and Pacheco's not able to be healthy to start the
01:41season,
01:42bringing in a bigger back like Kareem Hunt does make a little bit of success, does make a little bit
01:46of sense,
01:46and actually could point to what they want to do and have success on offense would be running the ball
01:51just a bit more.
01:52So I am hesitant on the Lions.
01:55I think their ceiling is potentially very high, but that means a lot of things do have to go right
01:59for them.
02:01A ton of things have to go right for them, Tom.
02:03That's the – they weren't barely, I think, maybe number 10 or number 11 in rushing the ball.
02:10You just gave a boatload of money to one of the most dynamic running backs in the league,
02:15but he was dynamic and a great one-two punch with David Montgomery.
02:20And now all of a sudden it's just going to be him, right?
02:23So if that's the case, defenses are going to adjust.
02:27I think if you have to worry about Jared Goff dropping back and throwing the ball more,
02:33that is going to be a big problem here.
