00:06caught in the pulley system of a Peugeot. The driver realized something was wrong after warning
00:12lights appeared and smoke began coming from the engine. Firefighters and the RSPCA were called
00:18after attempts to free her failed. Rescuers removed part of the wheel arch before Nala
00:23could be taken to an animal hospital. Her badly damaged right foreleg was later amputated.
00:30The RSPCA says heat from the engine may have cauterized the injury and prevented fatal
00:34blood loss. The charity says it does not yet know whether Nala is owned or a stray.
00:40Nala remains under veterinary care with the organization.
