00:00This one's about Murakami.
00:01August has been pretty bad, Bruce, from a numbers standpoint.
00:05Hitting under $1.50.
00:06The power's down.
00:07The slug is down.
00:08The strikeouts are up.
00:10What's been going on with Murakami?
00:14Well, the same thing that's been going on with Colton Montgomery,
00:17and he had a big hit at least yesterday, so he's come back.
00:22But swing and miss and the way that teams have attacked him
00:25with fastballs away, a lot of breaking stuff
00:29that he hadn't seen earlier in the year.
00:32He is really kind of in between, as they call it,
00:37where his swing isn't quite right there.
00:40He's not confident of where he's going to try to hit the ball
00:45or where it's coming in.
00:46So he's slumping.
00:48It would be nice if he would come out of it now
00:51because we know how important he is to that lineup.
00:54Same thing with Montgomery, who is on pace to strike
00:59out way over 200 times here this year.
01:03And the swing and miss factor has hurt the White Sox lineup.
01:07But you've gotten contributions from people you didn't expect.
01:11And the Tristan Peters story continues to be a fairytale story for the White Sox.
01:19Now, four games in a row, four home runs, hitting around 400 over the last 10 days or two weeks.
01:27So he's back to being the dominant player hitting 7th, 8th, or 9th for Will Venable in that lineup.
01:35It's been fun to watch him.
01:38Certainly, Antonacci having some hits last night.
01:41The White Sox are usually an offensive machine.
01:44They're able to put runs up.
01:46The question mark is, who's going to be the starters?
01:50And as you asked me to begin this portion of the segment,
01:54Davis Martin is hopefully going to come back and be a part of that.
01:57So, that's the question mark.
