00:43So what you're going to do after you finish leg two is you're going to chain the number of chains
00:49indicated in the pattern. For this large doll in particular, I'm going to be making four chains.
00:54So that's one, two, three, and four. And then I'm going to join with a single crochet to the
01:04first leg that was fastened off. And when you do that, you're going to want to make sure the toes
01:10point in the same direction. You don't want to have a toe, you know, pointing backwards while the other
01:15one is forwards. So I'm going to point them both in the same direction like so. And then I'm going

01:22basically join leg one or leg two, the second one I made, to the first one I made using one

01:30crochet. So here I am inserting my hook into the side of the leg. Let me see here. All right,

05:03You can go ahead and place a stitch marker and continue working around following the body's instructions.
05:14Let's go ahead and learn how to join the arms to the body.
05:18Okay, here I'm at the last round before the arms attachment round.
05:25And I happen to be at the front of the doll where the toes are pointed forward.
05:31Where I want to be is at the back or the center back of the doll right before starting the
05:39arm attachment
05:42round. So in my directions, I will tell you to single crochet eight or nine or however many stitches
05:50before you get to the center back of the doll. Here I'm going to be crocheting, I believe, nine stitches.
05:57Let's see where that takes me. So that's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
06:12and nine. And at that point, I am at the right about the center of the back side of the
06:23doll.
06:24Here my toes are pointed forward. Again, I want to make sure I'm right at the back.
06:29And the reason we want to start at the back of the doll is that so when you attach the
06:33arms
06:34in this upcoming round, the arms will be leveled and in the same round instead of one being higher
06:41than the other. All right. So before we start on attaching the arms, I like to mark the round with
06:49yarn markers to tell me where the arms need to go. If you look at the pattern, it will tell
06:56you how many
06:56stitches the arms take up and how many stitches the front center and the back center take up.
07:02In this particular doll I'm making, the front will take up five stitches. The arms will take up three
07:09stitches each on the side. And then for the back side, it will be five stitches for the back.
07:18Oh, excuse me. I'm so sorry. Six stitches for the front and the back for this particular doll.
07:24So I want to make sure I allocate six stitches. And the easiest way for me to do that is
07:31to hold my doll flat
07:35and find the three stitches on both sides. So here, um, is where
07:44I can mark the three stitches.
07:56So here I have one, two, and three stitches. This is where I want to insert one arm. And let
08:03me count
08:03six stitches to the side to see how that looks. One, two, three, four, five, six. And this would be
08:10the next
08:11one where I'd want to attach the second arm. One, two, and three stitches for the arm.
08:30All right, so let's see. And, um, the back should have three stitches, uh, six stitches as well. That's one,
08:39two, three, four, five, and six. All right, so it checks out. There should be, again, um, you have
08:47to double check for the specific pattern because the different doll sizes have different, um, stitches
08:52for these sections. But this particular doll, um, it has three stitches allocated for each arm. Six
09:00stitches in the front, six in the back. All right, so after you mark the stitches, it's time to actually
09:06crochet them. Um, for this doll, I am going to be, um, single crocheting until I reach the first
09:17stitch marker. And now that I'm here at the first marked stitch, I'm going to attach one arm.
09:27So for the arm, you're actually going to go through two layers. You're going to flatten the arm,
09:33and the last round of this arm is six stitches. When you flatten it, it'll be two or three pairs
09:41of
09:41stitches. So here I'm going into one layer and the second layer, keeping it flat. And I'm going to go
09:53and put my hook into the first stitch of the body, the first available stitch where I want to attach
10:02the
10:02arm. And now I'm going to make a single crochet like so. Then go into the next pair of stitches
10:13stitches into the arm and go into the next stitch in the body and single crochet. Let's do it one
10:27last
10:27time. This is the last pair of stitches in the arm going into that next stitch in the body
10:37and single crochet. As you can see, we've just crocheted the arm to the body using a no sew method.
10:47I can pull out my stitch marker now or my yarn marker and that arm is attached and we can
10:56now move
10:56on to the middle stitches here. Sometimes I will indicate to just single crochet across in the middle
11:05stitches. And for now, we're going to go ahead and single crochet twice and then decrease across.
11:14So single crochet twice.
11:19And a decrease.

11:31So that's that for this particular doll. Now I've reached the marker again and I'm going to go ahead
11:37and attach the next arm. For the next arm, it's the same deal. We're going to single crochet
11:45the arm to the body, going through two layers of the arm and one layer of the body.
11:52So let's see if I can go through two layers here.
11:58Two stitches and one stitch in the body.
12:08As you can see here, there's three layers total and I'm going to single crochet
12:13crochet all of those together. Now let's go through the second set of stitches.
