Crochet a delicate rose bouquet coaster that doubles as an adorable little bouquet, with two flower variations to choose from. This fast and easy crochet tutorial walks through a no-sew project made with sport weight yarn and a 3.25 mm hook, creating a circular coaster base with 12 flower spots around the edge.

The tutorial breaks the project into clear sections: the coaster, the roses, and the finished look. You can make a smaller rose bud by stopping after the first flower round, or continue to add petals for a fuller bloom. Each flower is worked separately, attached around the coaster, and can be made in different colors for a soft, colorful bouquet effect.

It’s a sweet crochet gift idea for Mother’s Day, birthdays, Christmas, teacher appreciation, thank-you gifts, or craft fair items. The finished piece can also be folded and tied like a bouquet, making it a charming decorative coaster or desk accent.

Perfect for viewers searching for crochet coaster tutorial, rose bouquet crochet pattern, flower coaster, rose bud crochet, no-sew crochet gifts, easy crochet flowers, and beginner-friendly crochet home decor. Great for anyone who enjoys fast crochet projects, floral crochet patterns, and handmade gift ideas with a pretty finished result.

00:20features a lovely coaster where you can sit your cup on top and you have these beautiful blooming
00:26roses to the side now there will be 12 roses total so it's a bouquet of 12 or of a
00:34dozen roses and you
00:36can also easily turn this coaster into a bouquet by folding it up into quarters and tying the um the
00:46stem portion of these flowers with a ribbon so it's a versatile pattern very cute very dainty
00:54and you're gonna love that um there are two different variations here you can make a smaller
01:01rosebud by doing just round one of the flowers this is a young rosebud that's just budding and
01:08looks quite adorable fold it up into a bouquet
01:15and alternatively if you want to make the larger rosebud um you just continue on with round two
01:21of the flower section and you'll create these lovely little petals
01:29all right and um be sure to follow along with my written pattern on my blog i do have a
01:36pattern for
01:37a little basket as well if you want to add a little basket to this project um it works really
01:44well for
01:44the smaller rosebud coaster because you can just kind of stick it right into the basket or the flower pot
01:52and it looks um adorable on any windowsill or on a desk
01:59this pattern is great as a gift for mother's day for birthdays for christmas gifts as thank you gifts
02:08teacher appreciation these also serve as great craft fair products and if you'd like to sell
02:13the finished item made from my patterns i just ask that you credit me by my name and site
02:19for example pattern design by sweet softies sweet softies.com
02:26all right now let's get into it
02:30for materials you really don't need too much you just need two or three different colors of sport weight
02:38number two yarn i'm using green for the coaster or the stem portion of my flower i'm using this reddish
02:46color for my flower and also this pinkish color for my flower you can use just one color for all
02:53your
02:54flowers if you'd like or if you want to have an assortment of different colors feel free to do that
03:00too
03:02other than the yarn you just need a 3.25 millimeter hook and a pair of scissors
03:17we are going to start off the coaster with round one and we're going to begin with a magic ring
03:23in the magic ring you're going to chain three oh excuse me chain four to start
03:29so here i'm making my slip knot to begin my chain
03:34and i'm going to do one two three and four chains
03:39and what this does is it creates our starting double crochet and chain
03:44so it's going to count as the first stitch
03:46now we're going to insert a double crochet
03:52and a chain and we're going to repeat this all the way around
03:5611 times um until we get a total of 12 double crochets and 12 chain one spaces
04:05let's go ahead and keep working along
04:07so um counting from the first one that's one
04:11here's two and then three double crochets chain four double crochets chain five
04:26six
04:30seven
04:34eight
04:37nine
04:4210
04:4611
04:52excuse me and 12
04:57and we're going to now tighten the ring
05:03and what you'll do at this very end here
05:05is you're going to join the round with a slip stitch
05:09to the um right in between the first chain starting chain and the double crochet
05:16so i'm going to insert my hook into this space right here
05:21and make a slip stitch
05:24and that finishes up my round for round one
05:28now let's begin round number two
05:30for round two we're going to start with three chains
05:35and these three chains are going to act as the first double crochet
05:41what you're going to do next is you're going to insert a double crochet in that same chain one space
05:47that you started from so going right in here
05:55then we're going to go um make a chain
05:58and then we're going to insert two double crochets in the next chain one space
06:03so that's one and two double crochets
06:11then chain and we're basically going to repeat the sequence around
06:15so insert two double crochets in the next um chain one space
06:27make a chain and then repeat around two double crochets
06:35make a chain repeat
06:46after you've gone all the way around with that repetition
06:49you are just going to finish off the round
06:52by joining with a slip stitch to the top of the starting chain
06:56so i'm joining to the top of that chain three that we began with
07:02and this closes off the round for round two
07:06now let's move on to round three for round three we're going to kind of work our way over to
07:13the
07:13first chain space here so we're going to insert a slip stitch in that next
07:19stitch it's a double crochet then we're going to insert a slip stitch in the chain space
07:26all right so now that we're in that first chain space we're going to begin working round um three
07:34here with three chains to start one two three again the starting chain counts as the first double crochet
07:42then you're going to insert two double crochets into that same chain gap or the same chain space
07:51so you'll see here we have sort of like three um tall stitches
07:57and then you're going to make a chain and we're basically going to repeat the sequence around
08:04but instead of a chain in that next chain space you're going to insert three double crochets
08:09then chain then three double crochets in the next chain space and chain and all the way around so let
08:17me
08:17show you a bit we're going to go into that next chain space and then do one two and three
08:26double crochets
08:29make a chain go into the next chain space one two and three double crochets
08:41make a chain go into the next chain space
08:56and continue working this sequence all the way around
09:03here is a look at round three with having the repetition done all the way around after you make
09:10your final um three double crochets and chain we're going to join with a slip stitch to the top of
09:16the
09:16starting chain three so here i'm going to pull through for a slip stitch
09:24like so and we're all done with round number three let's move on to round number four for round four
09:33we're going to work our way over to that first chain space so we're going to basically slip stitch in
09:42the next
09:43two stitches here
09:48and in that first chain space we're going to make one single crochet
09:53and then what you're going to do is chain five and then we're going to single crochet in the next
10:00chain gap or the chain space so that's one two three four five chains and then we're going to
10:09insert our hook into the first um or into the next chain um space and make a single crochet
10:18let's do that again one two three four five chains then go into the next chain space and single crochet
10:32and we're going to repeat this all the way around so that's one two three oops four five chains go
10:41into
10:41the next chain space and single crochet
11:06when you reach the very end with your last chain five you're going to simply join with a slip stitch
11:13to the first single crochet that um you made in the round so here i'm doing a slip stitch to
11:21join
11:22and you should have a cute little doily going on you'll see that there are 12 different chain five
11:29gaps in your surrounding your circle and that's that for round number four let's begin round four
11:39for round four we're going to slip stitch into the next chain five space so let's start with that slip
11:47stitch then you're going to chain three one two three and then we're going to do a sequence of double
11:55crochet chain double crochet chain double crochet chain and double crochet chain that's going to be
12:01four double crochets and four chains total so that's one chain two double crochets chain three double crochets
12:14chain and four double crochets oops sorry about that four double crochets and chain then you're going to um chain
12:30two more
12:33and slip stitch in that same chain five space
12:44so that's how your little um ridge should look for round number five we're going to repeat this around
12:52for all of um all 12 of these chain five spaces we're going to go into that next chain five
12:59space and make a
13:00slip stitch then we're going to chain three and then do the double crochet chain double crochet chain
13:11double crochet chain double crochet chain double crochet chain we're going to have those one two three four
13:21double crochets in the center then add two more chains and slip stitch in that same
13:27chain five chain chain five space
13:34and let's keep working around in the next chain five space we're going to slip stitch
13:40and three chains to start then it's double crochet chain double crochet chain double crochet chain double crochet
13:57chain two more chains and slip stitch in that last in that chain five space
14:09let's work around and we will meet um at the end of round number five
14:19here i've gone all the way around for round five and you'll see these beautiful petals come to shape
14:27now to finish off the round we're simply going to do a slip stitch
14:32to join the round i'm going into that first stitch we made there
14:41then you can fasten off with the tail and you are going to weave in the ends of that tail
14:47the next part is the flowers you've got the coaster all done now and you are ready to begin the
14:55next section
15:00after you have finished your lovely coaster you are ready to start on the flower section so go ahead and
15:06pick whichever color you want to use for the flower the flowers will go um well each flower is going
15:13to go
15:13on top of these little bumps here so we'll end up with 12 flowers around this coaster and each flower
15:22will be attached um and fastened off at the end of the flower so you are um able to use
15:30a variety of
15:31different colors if you want um without having to really change yarn colors in between you're just
15:37starting and fasting off for each flower so i'm going with this reddish color for my flower here
15:44and go ahead and pick any petal you want to start on i'm just going to choose this bump right
15:51here
15:52and what you're going to do is you're going to first insert your hook into the first chain space
15:59between the starting chain here and the double crochet so i'm going to insert my hook right in between
16:05there and i'm going to attach the flower color yarn
16:15then i'm going to chain three one two and three and then i'm going to insert four double crochets into
16:24the same chain space here's what it'll look like that's one two
16:35three
16:41and four
16:46now that you have the four double crochets in that chain space you're going to pull your loop up a
16:51bit
16:52what we're going to do next is something called a popcorn stitch if you are unfamiliar with it i'm
16:58going to show you the step by step instructions right now you're going to want to make your active
17:03loop um nice and tall so we don't lose it then you're going to insert your hook in between the
17:09first
17:09chain and the first double crochet you made so i'll show you again just in between the starting chain
17:16and the double crochet and you're going to take that active loop and you're going to pull it through
17:26the um starting chain and double crochet when you do that your double crochets get bundled together
17:33and that's what we call a popcorn stitch now we're going to close the popcorn by making a chain
17:42that secures it and we're going to work in the next chain space oh i'm so sorry not chain space
17:49we're going to work in the next space between the double crochets there's no chain there so
17:55just insert four double crochets between that um space that's one two
18:05two three and four and pull up a long loop for your um to get ready for that popcorn stitch
18:19this time you're going to insert your hook in between the first popcorn and the four double
18:26crochets you made so i'm going in between that space grabbing the active loop and pulling it through
18:36to make um a second popcorn you've got those stitches bundled up together and make sure it's tight
18:47make a chain let's keep working along so in that next space between the two double crochets i'm going
18:55to insert my four double crochets one two three oops and four
19:10pull up that active loop insert my hook in between the double crochets and the previous popcorn
19:17pull my loop through make a chain to secure it got me three popcorns going on here let's keep going
19:28you're going to end up with five popcorns in the end because there are five um spaces between these
19:35double crochets so you're just pulling through oops that active loop
19:51and here's my last one going into that last double crochet or last uh space
20:11and finishing off that popcorn now here's what your piece will look like with five cute little popcorns
20:21and we're going to actually bundle them together see how they make a nice little flower like that
20:29what you're going to do is take the um take your loop and you're going to go into um slip
20:38stitch between
20:38the first um two popcorns you made so in that chain one space that you made you're going to insert
20:47your hook
20:49go into the hole of the flower
20:53oops oops when you insert your hook you're going to kind of um be pushing those five parts of the
21:01flower together so i'm putting my hook through the hole in order to make that slip stitch to join
21:11once you've joined it you'll see that your um popcorn stitches are pushed together in this bundle of
21:18five popcorn stitches so instead of um being in a row they are now joined together like so
21:26and that's that for the first part of the flower
21:32and i did want to note that if you want your flowers looking like little rosebuds like so you
21:39just need to fasten off at this point and weave in the ends and then you're going to repeat this
21:45flower
21:45um on the other 11 petals or bumps of this coaster and if you do want to add additional
21:55petals to this flower we're going to now move on to step two of the flowers
22:02all right so for this next step what you will do is make a chain and we're going to be
22:09um i'm going to
22:10show you how to do a petal each petal is going to go in between those popcorn stitches remember how
22:17you made the chains in between the popcorns that's the space you'll work into so we're going to put two
22:23petals between each popcorn with the five popcorns out you'll end up with 10 pop 10 petals now after
22:35you make a chain you're going to make two double crochets one and two then chain and slip stitch
22:45back into the same stitch let's make the second petal chain double crochet into that same chain space
22:55double crochet again chain and slip stitch so that does it for the two petals let's move on to the
23:07next chain
23:08space
23:16in the next chain space we're going to start off with a slip stitch
23:21stitch and then you're going to make a chain insert two double crochets
23:30make a chain and slip stitch back in the chain space
23:36let's do our second petal chain two double crochets
23:45chain slip stitch in the same stitch
23:49now you've got um two petals in that same chain space time to move on to the next one
23:56slip stitch in the next chain space
24:02chain
24:05double crochet twice
24:10chain slip stitch
24:13let's make another petal
24:26and again you're going to keep working all the way around
24:44you can go ahead and fasten off with a tail
24:48you're going to be using this tail to weave in later
24:54and here is what um the flower looks like
24:59all right and that's that for the flower what you'll do is you are going to repeat
25:06this flower instruction um the part one and part two if you want or you can do just part one
25:13for a
25:13cute little rosebud you're going to repeat this around for each of these bumps on the coaster
25:20once you are finished um you just need to weave in all the ends feel free to use different
25:26colors um the different yarn colors will give you a very colorful and vivid bouquet
25:36so
25:49you
