00:00Have you ever thought about turning your side gig into a full-time job?
00:04Well, here in Sheerness-on-Sea, Chloe Lovett's clothes reselling side hustle
00:10has moved from second-hand retailer Vinted to this building right behind me.
00:15Let's go take a look.
00:17At Lovett or Listit, you can sell your unwanted clothes for cash.
00:21These clothes are then sold online, either individually or as part of bundles.
00:26I think it's more than a full-time job.
00:30Since being here, within the four months, it has just gone crazy.
00:34My earnings are from £400 to £2,000 a day.
00:38Sustainable fashion is a growing industry,
00:41with Barclays reporting in April this year
00:43that 38% of UK consumers bought from a resale platform in the last year.
00:50As well as sustainable, it can be a more affordable option for customers too.
00:55I've had a wedding dress where a lady went to get married in Vegas
00:59that she paid hundreds for.
01:01I put it on Vinted. I think someone got it for like £50.
01:03So again, like someone's then maybe getting married for the second time
01:06and they've got a dress off of Vinted for such a low cost.
01:10Chloe has built up a community of sustainable fashion enthusiasts
01:14on her social media pages,
01:17encouraging others to get involved in the side hustle too.
01:20I've had a lot of people reach out to me and say that I've really inspired them.
01:24Like, even someone messaged me the other day,
01:26like their 16-year-old daughter's been following my journey from when I came here
01:29and has actually started taking up what I'm doing.
01:32But social media hasn't always been a beneficial place for Chloe.
01:37Having a presence online has exposed her to some negative comments
01:41from other social media users.
01:43I think it's a reflection.
01:46The comments that people are making are a reflection on their own life.
01:49If someone's really happy and content within their own life,
01:52they've got no time to leave a horrible comment about someone else.
01:56Like, I would never do that.
01:58In spite of this, Chloe is staying positive
02:01and showing that turning your hobby into a career can be done.
02:05We're in 2026.
02:06Like, you can make money from anything.
02:08Like, as long as you're passionate about it,
02:10you know that you want to do it, go for it.
02:12And her business is only growing more,
02:15as Love It or List It is due to move to a bigger unit soon.
