Hyderabad's Phuleli subdivision witnessed a major crackdown against electricity theft and defaulters as HESCO teams disconnected more than 400 illegal Kunda connections across different areas.
The operation was carried out in areas including Gul Nagar, Chauhan Kanta, Afandi Town and Pakistani Chowk under the supervision of senior HESCO officials.
HESCO teams also took action against electricity bill defaulters and recovered outstanding payments from several consumers on the spot.
Phuleli SDO Mumtaz Memon said that action against electricity theft will continue without discrimination and that no one will be allowed to use electricity through illegal means.
