00:02We're out here this morning, and we're observing our two youngest calves.
00:06And we have the male calf, Unzula Zuli, our August 12th baby.
00:10And then our September 26th female is Unkaya.
00:15Zuli, what we noticed him was starting to play with a lot of the brows.
00:18So he was trying to figure out his trunk.
00:20In fact, he picked up a rather large branch.
00:21I was kind of excited that he was able to manipulate his trunk
00:24and pull such a large branch up off the ground like that.
00:28They're not really eating the brows, so they're just kind of mouthing it.
00:31All the nutrition is coming from mom's milk.
00:33And they'll continue for about another month or so.
00:36But as their teeth start developing, then they're going to start eating solid food.
00:42But right now, it's mostly mom's milk.
00:46At first, they were far apart.
00:49They were just hanging out close to their moms.
00:51But eventually, the calves found each other, kind of gravitated toward each other.
00:55And then it was full on sparring, pretty much.
00:59What we noticed with Unzula Zuli, he likes to climb on top as often as he can.
01:03And she doesn't give in either.
01:06So she'll turn around and start pushing him back.
01:08And even though he's a little bit bigger and a little bit older than she is,
01:11she held her own.
01:12Whenever they get these opportunities, it's kind of spontaneous, obviously.
01:16And him being a boy, he's going to probably want to instigate a lot.
01:19But you can see she is right now in a phase where she's completely independent of what her mom's doing.
01:25And so she can come over on her own and instigate as well.
01:28And so the two kids realize we're about the same size.
01:31So it's just a natural thing to see those two playing together.
