00:00A murder investigation is underway after the body of an unidentified woman was found in Stanley Park, Anfield, on Friday

00:10Police say a member of the public contacted them around 5.25 that evening.
00:16Officers found the body in a black bin bag near the walled garden.
00:19A post-mortem was carried out on Saturday the 29th of August, but detectives are withholding its findings while the
00:25investigation continues.
00:27Forensic inquiries remain ongoing during the investigation.
00:32Detectives believe the body may have been at the location for a number of weeks.
00:36They have checked missing person reports across Merseyside and elsewhere, but so far have not been able to identify the
00:44woman or locate her next of kin.
00:46Police believe the woman was in her 70s.
00:49They described her as white, around 5 foot 2 inches tall, of small build with strawberry blonde hair.
00:56She was wearing a pink Nike t-shirt, similar to the one shown on screen.

01:04Police are particularly interested in anyone who visited the walled garden in recent weeks, including walkers and dog walkers.
