00:01Pakatan Harapan Assemblymen in Negeri Sambilan have been given 30 days to repay
00:05allocations received from the previous state government or face action.
00:10Muntari Basah Ismail Lasim said notices were issued yesterday, adding that some
00:14representatives, including former executive councillors, had already
00:17repaid the funds in full. According to Cosmo, Ismail stated that the former
00:22Muntari Basah had also repaid the allocation in full. He warned that the
00:26state government would take action against those who failed to repay the
00:29allocations within the 30-day period. 17 PH Assemblymen and two constituency
00:34coordinators had previously been ordered to return July to September
00:38allocations, dispersed a day before the State Assembly was dissolved on June 5th.
00:43Ten Assemblymen were told to return RM174,000 each, while the Labu and Parai
00:49coordinators and seven former executive councillors were asked to return RM150,000 each.
00:55Ismail previously said those who had not repaid the money would need to provide
00:59explanations and records showing how the allocations were spent.
01:02Nilai Assemblyman Jay Arupuma said the funds had been spent on community needs,
01:07with some Assemblymen using them in full. He said all unspent money had been
01:11returned before July 10th, together with financial reports.
