03:40the Samastar leaders are telling us that they did express their protest and also dissatisfaction over the statements made by
03:47Chief Minister.
03:47Shibhimol, they informed Chief Minister that he has misinterpreted the Islamic history.
03:52As you know, if you listen to what Chief Minister V.D. Sadishan said yesterday, he went on to quote
03:56from Islamic history.
03:58The women from Islamic history took examples of prophets' wives and said that they've all been independent women.
04:03Prophets' first wife, Khadija, was a successful entrepreneur.
04:07So, in that case, Islam in general is not against women.
04:10It's being misunderstood and misinterpreted is what Chief Minister says.
04:13For that, the Samastar leadership says that CM has misinterpreted history.
04:18If he wants to oppose the statement of Kandapuram, then he can go ahead.
04:22If he wants to support or oppose, that's somebody's choice.
04:24That's absolutely fine.
04:25But do not talk in a way that Kandapuram or any religious scholars do not understand their religion or they
04:31have misinterpreted.
04:32That sends a wrong message to the religious community and also the believers of the religion.
04:38So, that should have been carefully handled by Chief Minister is what the Samastar leadership informs CM.
04:45We are yet to hear what Chief Minister exactly told them as a reply.
04:50But this is Samastar leadership expressing their displeasure over the statements made by Chief Minister
04:56because it's not the first time Samastar has made regressive statements against women.
04:59Earlier also there, we issued circulars like this that was against women,
05:03that was against the progressive ideas that we represent in 2026.
05:06But we have not seen such opposition, such political leadership coming out,
05:11including the Chief Minister coming out and making strong worded statements,
05:15saying that this is not a statement that we will appreciate and we will accept in a year like 2026.
05:20We want women to be at the forefront, is what CM and all the political parties unanimously have said in
