You’re Katherine Pierce - Suck it Up | TVD Edits

In this scene, Katherine Pierce reaches the lowest point of her 500-year existence. After being force-fed the cure, she has become mortal, but Silas drained her blood of the cure, triggering accelerated aging. Faced with brittle teeth, graying hair, and organ failure, the woman who survived half a millennium running from Klaus realizes she cannot outrun time. Refusing to deteriorate and die of old age, Katherine climbs the Mystic Falls clock tower, intending to end her life on her own terms.
Before jumping, she leaves a suicide confession to her estranged daughter Nadia. As she leaps from the spire, Stefan Salvatore uses his vampire speed to intercept her fall, catching her in his arms just before impact.
When Stefan sets her down and asks what she is doing, Katherine dryly reminds him of his own advice: “I either face your problems or you run. I chose option three.” When Stefan demands to know what crisis could possibly drive her to jump, Katherine finally breaks her cynical facade and confesses the harsh truth: she is dying of old age. Rather than walking away, Stefan cups her face and tells her, “You’re Katherine Pierce. Suck it up.”
Katherine realizes Stefan is the only person left in the world who refuses to let her give up on herself.
