00:04This is breaking news that's coming in with regards to a certain posh Bengaluru eatery,
00:09which has now seen action being taken over their filthy kitchen and poor sense of hygiene that was being followed.
00:18The food department in Pact has come out to crack down on this posh Bengaluru eatery.
00:23The chairman's club kitchen has been shut over poor hygiene.
00:26There is filthy kitchen, soiled food spilled across the floor that could be found.
00:3140 kgs expired chili, improperly labelled products.
00:36The chairman's club kitchen shut over serious food safety violations.
00:40The food safety wing of the Department of Food Safety and Drug Administration
00:43conducted a special inspection of the chairman's club in Dollars Colony on September 3rd,
00:49that is yesterday itself, following directions from the Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khadir.
00:54Officials found 40 kgs of expired chili stored for use as a food product.
01:00Improperly labelled food products, including 5 kgs of breadcrumbs, 2 kgs of sajira products, were also found.
01:07The inspection, in fact, came out to reveal highly unhygienic conditions in the kitchen and food storage areas.
01:14Now, officials also detected the use or storage of unauthorised, prohibited artificial colours
01:19and violations in food storage and handling practices.
01:23Vegetarian, non-vegetarian food products were allegedly being stored in together.
01:27Violation of food safety requirements were rampantly spotted at this very kitchen.
01:33Expired food products were seized.
01:35In the view of serious food safety hygiene violations, the club kitchen was closed.
01:39Now, the department has initiated legal action under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 and the relevant rules.
01:46Officials say inspections of the food establishments will continue across Bengaluru
01:51and strict action will be taken against the businesses violating food safety and hygiene norms.

02:00Saghai, this seems to have added another one of those kitchens to a posh eatery that is in Bengaluru
02:07that's now not just under the scrutiny, but its kitchen has been shut
02:11because of the kind of violations that were seen within them when it comes to hygiene.
02:17Absolutely.
02:18And this is one of those prestigious clubs in Bengaluru,
02:21which has been identified as chairman clubs.
02:23And the minister himself had received a complaint from one of the members of this particular club
02:32where he has alleged that there was unhygienic food being reserved in this particular place.
02:38And that's when the health officials who have raided that they have found out 40 kg of expided chili
02:43stored for use of food product and improperly labelled products,
02:47including 5 kg of breadcrumbs and 2 kg of tajira product, were also found.
02:52And even if you see in the visuals and photographs,
02:56it clearly shows that there was no hygienic which was being maintained.
02:59And even the vegetarian non-hygienic food products were allegedly being stored together
03:04in violation of food safety requirements.
03:07And if you notice that the health department has also seized the expiry food in that particular place
03:13and immediately seized this particular restaurant inside the club.
03:18And as I told you earlier, this is one of those prestigious clubs in Bengaluru,
03:22near Sakhanagar, which was being raided by the health department
03:25and subsequently found that it was unhygienic and not safety for the people to eat.
03:31And immediately they seized the entire restaurant.
