00:00I'm officially suing the state of California. On August 22nd, Gavin Newsom signed into law what is
00:05known as the Stop Nick Shirley Act, the official title of this bill is AB 2624. Now this law will
00:12prohibit what an individual or a journalist will be able to film and publish when it comes to
00:17immigration support service providers. That is why I am filing this lawsuit against the state of
00:22California. Because why would they create a law that pushes for less transparency when all we
00:27want is more transparency, especially when it comes to our tax dollars being defrauded. They are
00:32literally saying you cannot film immigration support services. And if you do, and we give you a written
00:37demand, you cannot publicly post that video on the internet. And if you do publish the video, you may
00:43receive a $4,000 fine. We need more transparency and not less. Now let's talk about the lawsuit.
00:50I'm filing this lawsuit inside the federal court of California to stop the enforcement of this law.
00:57The claim is straightforward. This statute violates the first amendment. I'm asking the court to
01:03protect my first amendment right. This fraud never has had anything to do with the right or left. It
01:08had everything to do about your dollars being defrauded. And now they want to prevent people
01:13like me from going out and searching for the truth about where our tax dollars are going as quite
01:18literally, they are then going to be able to give me a written demand, a piece of paper saying,
01:23hey, you cannot publish that video. And if I do, I will get a $4,000 fine. And if you
01:28do too,
01:28you will also potentially get a $4,000 fine. That is the problem with this bill and why it
01:34violates the first amendment. It's time we all stand up, get together right and left and say,
01:39you cannot violate our first amendment right.
01:42You cannot violate our first amendment right.
