00:24one of the best play callers in all of pro football,
00:26one of the best designers of offenses,
00:30he has no doubt one of the absolute best coaches.

00:35because if you're not going to do it now,
00:38when are you going to do it?
00:40Is it time for Kyle Shanahan to look for greener pastures?

00:48and not get it done before somebody comes knocking on your door

01:04but I think that football team is going to contend for the NFC West.

01:09boy, Sean McVay has been one of my favorite coaches since I met him.

01:16When he was 19 years old.
01:19He was a ball boy for the Buccaneers back in the day
01:23when I was hosting my show in Tampa,
01:26my radio show in Tampa,
01:27and he was a ball boy.
01:30John Grudem put him to work.
01:31He's obviously John McVay's grandson
01:34and one of the great talent evaluators of all time.
01:38And he's worked his way up,
01:40became a quality control coach.
01:42Then before you know it,
01:43people don't realize this,
01:45but the person that recommended McVay to be the offensive coordinator
01:50in Washington was, without a doubt,
01:53John Gruden.
01:54And then when the Ram job came up
01:56and they wanted to make a change from Jeff Fisher,
02:00they ended up asking John Gruden to be the head coach of the Rams.
02:04John said,
02:04no, I'm not in a good place right now.
02:06He was still in the booth at ESPN.
02:08He said, you should look at Sean McVay.
02:10He was 32 years old at the time.
02:13Well, guess what?
02:14That recommendation has panned out.
02:16He just turned 40 years old.
02:18He's won over a hundred ball games.
02:20There's only one other coach that's done that.
02:23And his name is Don Shula.
02:25That's who he's being compared to.
02:27All the division titles.
02:29I mean, Aaron Rodgers is older than him.
02:32His quarterback is only three years off the age of the head coach to show you
02:38how much he's done in such a short period of time.
02:42He's got two NFC championships.
02:44He's got a Super Bowl ring.
02:46He's also a coach that's an innovator.
02:48And boy, I love this Rams team this year.
02:51He is without a doubt my favorite coach in college and pro football right now.
02:55Hell, he could coach college football.
02:57He could coach anywhere.
02:58He's a savant, and I really appreciate him and how he goes about his business.
03:04In that football game, I got the Rams obviously winning that game
03:07because I think they're just a better team.
03:09Oh, and by the way, in that Seahawks-Patriots game,
03:12I'm going to take the Patriots in that ball game in an upset,
03:16going to Seattle and winning.
03:17The other game on Sunday, I think there's a great game on Sunday coming up.
03:21That's going to be Buffalo and Houston.
03:24Josh Allen versus the best defense in pro football.
03:29I mean, look at week one.
03:32That is a monster game.
03:34The best quarterback in pro football against the best defense in pro football
03:40in D'Amico Ryan's group.
03:42Danelle Hunter, Will Anderson Jr., what they have with Stingley
03:47and Lasseter in the secondary,
03:50that is by far one of the best football teams in the league,
03:53especially on that defensive side of the ball.
03:55It's all going to come down to C.J. Stroud.
03:57I've got Josh Allen winning that ball game.
