00:00What do we do with Georgia, and what do we do with this big number?
00:03This is a spot that really excites me, I think,
00:07because I didn't get bit by the dog last week.
00:13I was fascinated by Georgia-Tennessee State.
00:17And I'm like, Dave, I'm not up, you know, a decade's worth of bets
00:22to where I could, you know, blindly bet Georgia.
00:26And I was very tempted to, as somebody who, you know,
00:32Dave and I talked a lot about the game, I thought,
00:33ah, Georgia's probably the right side.
00:35I nearly pulled the trigger on the under before the game kicked off,
00:40like trying to get cute with it.
00:41Like, oh, what if it's 51-0?
00:43I just stayed away.
00:45And I watched the game play out.
00:46Nate Frazier had four carries and three touchdowns.
00:51So I was like, all right, I'm glad I have nothing to do with this.
00:53But now we come to the Western Kentucky game.
00:58And now Western Kentucky, to be fair, very, very bad result in their opener.
01:04They were a slight road favorite, you can call it pick, at Nevada.
01:08They lose the game 49-14.
01:11So that's going to move your number here a little bit as well,
01:15despite the fact that Western Kentucky are supposed to be
01:17one of the top teams in Conference USA.
01:20The big draw, though, for me here is this really is the same spot.
01:28It's a team that Georgia are way better than, if they really want to,
01:35can beat by 50, but do they want to?
01:39And I think the – and again, we talked about this, Dave.
01:44I think Tennessee State backers were paying a premium last week, right?
01:49I don't think Western Kentucky backers are playing a premium.
01:53I don't think anybody cares about this game.
01:55Like, last week was this viral golden opportunity for everyone.
02:01And if you either made money fading it, you might be running Georgia back,
02:06or if you took the state side, you're done.
02:10You're like, nope, nope, nope, Georgia cares now.
02:12And I think it's a great opportunity to slide in here on the Hilltoppers.
02:17Western Kentucky are on my card at plus 40.5.
02:21I'm going to simply ask, what is the difference between being 0 and 18
02:25versus spreads of 38 or more and being 1 of 18 against spreads of 38 or more?
02:31It's still bad.
02:33And listen, it started early.
02:35Obviously, I was a blind bet, pot committed.
02:38I'm even annoyed it became this Twitter fascination last week.
02:42I hate that because I've been on this trend for years,
02:45and all of a sudden everybody else catches on,
02:48and it's like, all right, eventually you're going to lose,
02:49and you're going to look stupid because we're going to talk about it
02:51for 20 minutes on the air.
02:52And every channel I'm on, people are asking.
02:54That said, people jumped on me early.
02:56I was getting text messages when it was 21-0, 28-0, 35-0.
03:01The game still went according to script as all the others have gone.
03:05Go look at Charlotte from last year and Furman before that.
03:09Georgia up big after three quarters.
03:11You're holding on to your seats in the fourth.
03:13Last year, they didn't score in the fourth quarter.
03:17Charlotte did, and I won my bet.
03:19This last week, the third-string quarterback threw a 51-yard bomb
03:24in the fourth quarter, and you lost your bet.
03:26I mean, if you said to me that this game, this cover,
03:30your Tennessee State plus 48, by the way, it was 49-and-a-half
03:34by the time the game went off the board,
03:36is going to come down to a third-string quarterback
03:39throwing a 50-yard bomb in the fourth quarter,
03:42I would have said, I got this one.
03:45So, that being said, you got unlucky.
03:49I don't bat 1,000.
03:50None of us bat 1,000.
03:51So, I would take Western Kentucky again because the trend still sticks.
03:56Nothing has materially changed unless you think Kirby is reading headlines
04:01of what David Behrman and Kevin Walsh are saying on college football today.
04:06He can't cover big lines.
04:09Okay, Kirby's not doing that.
04:10If the third-string quarterback throws a 50-yard bomb
04:13versus Western Kentucky in the fourth quarter, it happens.
04:16So, I would still take it.
04:18You still play the trend.
04:19It's now 1-18.
04:20And, by the way, you are getting a bigger number
04:22because you're not paying the tax that you had to pay last week.
