00:01Joined here with Buckland manager Matt Cusack after a home run over Wales City.
00:05Matt, start your thoughts on that one.
00:07Yeah, delighted with the three points first and foremost.
00:09We set a target this week to try and achieve six points.
00:13Obviously, it's always easier said than done.
00:15So after securing the three points on Wednesday, today it was just about backing it up.
00:20And I'm delighted that the boys have gone and done that.
00:23Started fast in both halves.
00:25Is that something you always want to do and look to do?
00:27Yeah, I think you always want to be on the front foot if you're the home team.
00:30And so we've been quite good at that, to be fair.
00:33All season, starting quickly.
00:36But what we haven't had recently and what we asked for today is a second half performance.
00:40And obviously we got that because we added two further goals.
00:43We're drawing one each at halftime.
00:46Disappointing we didn't capitalise on going 1-0 up.
00:48We thought we were territorially quite good.
00:51But just lacking that final product in the final third to try and extend our lead.
00:56And then obviously they pegged us back just before halftime.
01:00We'll be disappointed when we watch up back.
01:02I think a couple of our players were sort of arguing off the ball, if you will.
01:05Lapses of concentration.
01:06That said, I thought it was a foul in the build-up.
01:08It wasn't given.
01:09But I feel like if we'd not taken our eye off the ball, it could have been prevented.
01:13So we'll look back at that.
01:14Something for us to address.
01:16So 1-1 halftime, the message very much was get out and be on the front foot second half.
01:21And we needed that because we haven't done that recently here.
01:24A couple of talking points, both for that far end with penalties.
01:26One for maybe each side.
01:28Do you have any thoughts on either of them?
01:32I understand, speaking to the referee, the letter of the law, particularly the one the
01:35first half on us, was that the ref's blown.
01:39He's then gone and consulted his linesman.
01:40He's overturned the decision and then had to book our player.
01:43Now, there was contact.
01:46And when you speak to referees, sometimes they'll say there was contact, but not enough contact,
01:50which is why I didn't give the foul.
01:51But because he's blown, retrospectively, the letter of the law says he's then had to book
01:54him, which I think is a ridiculous rule.
01:57So I feel like they need to look at that rule because that's ridiculous.
02:00There's definitely contact there.
02:02Ref thought it was a foul.
02:02That's why he gave it.
02:03Now, if he's consulted his linesman and ultimately decided between the two of them that it's
02:07not a free kick, then I think common sense should prevail there.
02:10And they need to address that particular law because it's ridiculous.
02:13There's definitely contact.
02:14So the second half one, I'll be brutally honest.
02:17I didn't see it.
02:18I saw the shot and the ball went over.
02:21Obviously, they've appealed.
02:22So I'm guessing something happened, but I didn't see that.
02:24There was too many bodies in the way.
02:25And then just on to one player, Josiah scored two goals in the week.
02:29How close did he come to starting today?
02:31Yeah, very much so.
02:32It's a squad game.
02:33And we promoted that from the get-go.
02:35It's a squad game.
02:36There'll be games for Josiah.
02:38And he's aware of that.
02:39But that's no different to any other player.
02:40He did his job midweek.
02:42And today he had a role from the bench, which he came on and fulfilled to help us see out
02:45the game.
02:46But yeah, I want to pay tribute to another player.
02:48Sammy State is playing out of his skin at the minute.
02:50I think this is probably the best start to a season that he's ever had.
02:54And he's playing superbly well.
02:58And long may that continue.
02:59And then just lastly, looking ahead to a few more games coming up this month in a busy period.
03:03Yeah, and they're all, you know, when you look at the table, we're playing obviously Cleveson next week.
03:08We're playing teams that are at the top end of the league.
03:11It's a brilliant league right now.
03:13Teams beating everybody.
03:14You know, league positions constantly evolving.
03:18And I'm sure there'll be many twists and turns over the next month.
03:20I think, like, the key thing is, though, by the sort of end of October, you start to get
03:24a real feel for how the league is going to shape up.
03:27So we're not too worried about league positions right now.
03:30Obviously, I think today's win does lift us to third, I want to say.
03:33But, you know, it's a big month.
03:35So we'll just take them one game at a time.
03:37Brilliant.
