00:07Praise be to God. If I had a title for today's message, I would call it, Stop Waiting for People
00:13to Find You.
00:15Go, Deal, Hope. And I'm coming off of a theme that I started a little while ago.
00:22Everybody knows what a street hustler does, or everybody knows what a dope dealer does.
00:27They don't usually sit around hoping someone accidentally discovers what they are offering.
00:34They go out looking for somebody who wants what they are carrying.
00:39Now, that is the children of darkness. Now let's take that picture and turn it upside down towards the children
00:46of light.
00:47What if Christians became hope dealers?
00:51Dispensing hope wherever we can. Ah, like a dope dealer dispenses dope.
00:56Help us.
00:57We are, believers are to carry the message of Jesus Christ in the places where people are hurting,
01:04in places where people are confused, in places where people are hopeless.
01:08We have hope.
01:10And Jesus tells us to work with what he has given us while it is day.
01:17Let's look at the text.
01:18I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day.
01:22The night cometh when no man can work.
01:26Now I'm using the term hope dealer.
01:28That's what a believer is.
01:29In contrast to the darkness of dope dealing.
01:33Ah, but really what I'm talking about, you could say an ambassador.
01:37That's what ambassadors do.
01:38We carry hope.
01:39Or you could say a laborer.
01:41Laborers are to carry this gospel.
01:42Messengers carry the gospel.
01:44Witness.
01:45We are the witnesses carry the gospel.
01:47Evangelists carry the gospel.
01:48So in this text, a hope dealer must have two things.
01:51They must have a must.
01:53And they must have a sender.
01:56Jesus said, I must work the works of him that sent me.
02:02Oh, you must have a must.
02:04And you must have a sender.
02:06If you are a believer, you have a sender.
02:08And that sender is God himself.
02:10Now, Jesus didn't say, I might work the works of him who sent me.
02:14He said, I must work the works of him that sent me.
02:18There was an inward necessity driving Jesus towards the work that God has given him.
02:25Oh, we need to be more sensitive to God.
02:27We need to be in prayer and in the word.
02:29And we need to be more obedient so that we can be sensitive to the work that God has for
02:34us.
02:34Not harden our heart because we don't want to do it for various reasons.
02:37There's so many reasons why you don't want to do the work of God.
02:39But Noah, help me not to harden my heart.
02:42He said, I have an inward necessity.
02:45There's something burdening me.
02:46I must do this.
02:47His ministry wasn't governed by his convenience.
02:50His ministry wasn't governed by how he felt, what mood he was in.
02:54It wasn't governed by comfort.
02:56No, no, no.
02:56The work of the Lord must be done.
02:58That's what we need.
02:59We need to be governed by a must in my life.
03:03This must take place.
03:04It must be priority.
03:06There ought to be something inside of us that says, I must go tell people about this message.
03:12Oh, God, strengthen that inside of us.
03:13There must be something inside of us that says, I must go encourage people with the word.
03:17There must be something that says, I must be out there praying for people or I must be out there
03:23reaching people with the gospel some way, somehow, in whatever way God's given.
03:29There must be a must.
03:30Is there a must in your life?
03:32Or is it something that you can put on the shelf?
03:35Help us have mercy today.
03:38If we are to hope deal, deal in hope, dispense hope everywhere.
03:43Oh, Lord.
03:44If we are to hope deal, we can't sit around saying, hopefully someone will come looking for what I got.
03:51Hopefully they'll find me.
03:53Hopefully they'll locate me.
03:55We are to go where they are.
03:57We are to be the ones that are looking for opportunity where they at.
04:01I'm looking for a good fishing spot so I can be a fisher of men.
04:06Where they at, scoping out places.
04:08There's places everywhere.
04:10The world has people dealing in things that destroy lives.
04:15The world has people dealing in things that leave people empty.
04:19But in contrast, the believer is carrying something that gives life.
04:27Oh, this word gives life.
04:29Oh, this gospel gives hope.
04:32Oh, let us hope deal.
04:34We should have a sense of urgency and a sense of necessity because we are entrusted with work that comes
04:42from God.
04:43This is not work that comes from men.
04:45This is more important than that.
04:47We get up and go to work for ourselves, for our families.
04:50God is greater than ourselves and family.
04:53Oh, help us, God, to do your work.
04:56So, a hope dealer must work while it is day.
04:59Jesus said, I must do the work of him that sent me while it is day.
05:05Meaning that Jesus recognized that there was a limited opportunity to work.
05:10The opportunity was temporary.
05:13So, we are not to constantly postpone obedience.
05:17This is temporary.
05:18We don't have forever.
05:19Don't keep on postponing it.
05:21I'll get to it whenever.
05:23I'll push it back and push it back.
05:26This is temporary and you have a limited opportunity to work.
05:29Don't constantly say, someday I'll witness to people.
05:33Don't say, don't constantly continue to say, someday I'll serve God.
05:38Don't constantly continue to say, someday I'll preach the gospel.
05:42Don't constantly say, continually say, well, I'll get around and tell people one day.
05:48One day I'll get serious about serving.
05:50One day I'll get serious about reaching people in my neighborhood.
05:53One day, don't always do that.
05:56Hope dealers, don't wait until opportunity disappears to start looking for someone to reach.
06:02Don't wait until opportunity disappears.
06:03We got a little time.
06:04Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.
06:08Getting older.
06:09Tick-tock, tick-tock.
06:10Old age, tick-tock.
06:12Out of time.
06:13We ain't got all day.
06:16There are people at the gas station.
06:18There are people at the mall.
06:20There are people at the park.
06:22There are people on the streets.
06:23There are people at work.
06:25There are people online.
06:26There are people in your neighborhood that need this hope.
06:29Let us peddle this hope.
06:30Let's get to peddling this hope.
06:31Help us, God.
06:32Hope dealers should say, whenever God gives me an opportunity, wherever God gives me an opportunity, I'm going to do
06:39this work while it is day.
06:41This is my daytime.
06:43Oh, this is my opportunity.
06:45This is my limited time on this earth.
06:48I'm going to get busy.
06:49Oh, let us be hope dealers.
06:53Let us do kingdom work.
06:55Let us do light work.
06:57They're doing dark work over there.
07:00They're doing devil kingdom work.
07:02We should be doing God's kingdom work.
07:04We are hope dealers.
07:05A hope dealer knows that the night is coming.
07:09Jesus said, I must work while it's day for night cometh when no man can work.
07:15This right here is a warning.
07:16There's coming a time where you won't be able to work.
07:19This is a warning that we should move with a sense of urgency.
07:23See, the day that we have, this breath that we have on this side of earth will not last forever.
07:34There's coming a cease that will happen.
07:37Night cometh.
07:38Our opportunity will expire.
07:41I got to work now because I am expiring.
07:45I am vaporizing.
07:47I am vaporizing.
07:47Our life's but a vapor.
07:48The clock is running out on me.
07:52I don't want to get before God and he know that I ain't been working.
07:56I didn't do his work because I was busy with excuses.
08:00Don't wait to be found.
08:03Don't waste this daytime.
08:05Don't bury the message.
08:06Don't sit on what God is giving you.
08:10Work while it is day because night is coming.
08:13Like I said earlier, there are hurting people that need this word.
08:16There are confused people that need you out there.
08:18There are people that are hopeless that need you out there.
08:21There are people that are so broken inside.
08:24Oh, there are people heartbroken.
08:26Broken in so many ways.
08:28Her team, help us today, oh God, to do your work.
08:32The world has enough people sitting around for somebody to come to them.
08:37Hope dealers, get out there and work for the light like dope dealers.
08:42Work for the darkness.
08:43Help us today.
08:44We don't know how much day we have left.
08:48Let us work while it is day.
08:51What am I saying?
08:52I'm just trying to tell us to stop waiting for people to find you.
08:55Go deal hope.
08:57Go preach this gospel.
09:00Go witness about Christ.
09:03Help us to do what you called us to do, oh God.
09:06We ask your help in Jesus' mighty name we pray and say, amen.
