00:01Well, there's no question that what's happened with the tariffs is it deepens the uncertainty
00:06and widens the divide between our two great countries.
00:10And it's that uncertainty which has also affected not only manufacturing, automotive, the supply chain,
00:17but it's also affected tourism.
00:19Because when you're worried about your job or your occupation, travel is a discretionary spend.
00:25They don't know where the economy is headed because of the uncertainty of the tariffs.
00:32So no matter what sector you look at, and of course we have a lot of them that are linked
00:37and integrated
00:38very deeply between our two great countries with Michigan and Windsor, Ontario and Essex County.
00:45That's the real problem. The real problem is that uncertainty.
00:48And as that uncertainty continues to unfold day in, day out, we're not sure what the,
00:52it's going to be tariff to how much the tariffs are going to be.
00:55It's hard for companies to book business, quote business, and see those purchase orders go through.
01:03You know, the mood certainly for Americans is when they come over to our great city,
01:08they apologize to us. They know that it's not going well.
01:13They know that Canadians are being unfairly targeted and that this trade war is very, very difficult on all of
01:20us.
01:21Day in, day out, we don't seem to even, we're not even able to keep track of what is going
01:26to be banned or not banned.
01:27Those discussions are still happening at the political level.
01:30Our hope is that they'll continue to have conversations.
01:34They'll continue to work towards an agreement and that they'll continue to lessen the pain for both countries as we
01:42navigate through these times.
