00:34we are getting you a mega, mega episode where we'll tell you about all that Apple has launched
00:39at this event and what it really means for Indian consumers. So, sit back and enjoy this

01:05For the people inside, this was the culmination of weeks of anticipation. The venue brought
01:12together Apple's global media ecosystem. Journalists, reviewers, analysts and creators all here
01:20to see the company's latest hardware first-hand.
01:29The pre-event rush was familiar. Media badges, camera checks, last-minute briefings. Phones
01:36out, ready to capture the first glimpse of whatever Apple was about to put on stage.
01:53And across the demo area, the new devices sat under glass, waiting for the keynote to end.
02:03Once the presentation began, the scale quickly became apparent.
02:07Hello and welcome to Apple Park. I am so thrilled to be here today.
02:12The event was being streamed around the world, while every announcement was being dissected
02:18online almost instantly. But unlike many compelling launches, Apple kept the focus firmly on its
02:27own ecosystem. The new iPhones, Apple Watch, AirPods and the new AI tying them together.
02:36And there was one announcement that immediately stood apart from the rest.
02:41But actually, there is one more thing. Apple had finally made the move the industry had been waiting for.
02:48It had built a foldable phone. This is iPhone Duo.
02:53So yes, big coverage on the Tech Today Show for the iPhone event. There were lots of lots of announcements
03:00at this year's event. But I feel one that really grabbed all the headlines is the new iPhone Duo.
03:06How will it change your experience when you are experiencing the iOS ecosystem is something that I am looking forward
03:13to.
03:13However, this quick look that I am about to give you of the iPhone Duo details some of the specifications
03:19with which the phone has been launched.
03:21So, a quick look at the new iPhone foldable and what it offers.
03:32In terms of the weight and the ergonomics, yes, very hand friendly, very compact.
03:37But what people are talking about is the crease, which is almost, almost invisible on this one.
03:43Yes, it has a very matte finish side of the look, but this one is a 7.6 inch display.
03:49Again, very fluid. Almost everything from every different viewing angle is perfectly visible.
03:54No problem at all. But when you fold it, it turns into this 5.4 canvas, which is also very
04:00hand friendly.
04:01Now, Apple has made sure that the ecosystem iOS is compatible with a larger screen,
04:07which was some of the concerns that people had showcased earlier.
04:10But it is absolutely fluid. I have been using it for a couple of minutes. It has no problems at
04:16all.
04:17Now, internal specifications inside. It is running the same 824 chipset that you have on the Pro series,
04:22which again gives all of the power to the AI and the Siri inside of the phone.
04:27Now, camera wise, this has a 48 megapixel fusion camera, which is again a good option for people
04:33who want to click photography and want a good camera system on their foldable device.
04:37But there is also an internal camera, which, by the way, is not visible.
04:42As you can see, no punch hole anywhere. And that's the engineering that Apple can be credited with.
04:47And also, the hinge mechanism, the folding mechanism is also very good, no problem at all.
04:52You can get an access to the device, not with Face ID, because again, finally,
04:58Touch ID is making a comeback on this device. So, yes, access changes for a lot of people.
05:04But I think the talking point will be the multitasking capabilities you get on this phone,
05:09because multi-window, multiple apps at the same time is something that we have seen in the foldable ecosystem.
05:15Now, it finally comes to Apple. So, yes, this is a first look at the newly launched iPhone Duo and
05:23the pricing.
05:24This is something that the Indian market specifically is going to be a bit wary about,
05:29because almost three lakh rupees for a foldable phone like this is something that might not be something
05:34that many Indians would be using. Even the Pro series is something like starting at one lakh,
05:3950,000 rupees. So, I would say, again, not for everyone, for a niche specific market,
05:45but also important to know, I'm sure that in India, many people would be wanting a foldable iPhone.
05:50So, this is a first look at the newly launched iPhone Duo. Let me know what do you think about
05:55this device and if this is a phone that you would want to buy.
06:04So, now that we are done with the flagship device, the Duo, let's talk about the new iPhones for this
06:10year, the Pro series 18 Pro and the 18 Pro Max. Now, incremental upgrades, new colors, a new chipset,
06:17but what people are talking about is how similar it is to the last year's device. The price increase,
06:25almost 20 to 25,000 rupees could be a game changer, especially for the Indian market,
06:30but in terms of features, here's a look at what the new 18 Pro and the Pro Max offer.
06:42The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max may not look dramatically different from their predecessors,
06:48but Apple says the biggest changes are happening where it matters most, inside of the phone.
07:04And the headline upgrade this year is the camera.
07:11For the first time on an iPhone, the 48 megapixel Fusion main camera gets a variable aperture.
07:18Until now, the iPhone's main camera essentially had one fixed opening for letting light in.
07:24Now, the lens can move between four aperture settings from f1.48 to f4.
07:31And that changes more than just brightness. At the widest setting, the camera can pull in more
07:37light for better low-light photography. More towards fx4 and you get more depth of field,
07:44keeping more of the scene in focus. And Apple says the system can make those adjustments automatically.
07:52For people who want more control, the new Pro controls let you manually adjust aperture,
07:58shutter speed and white balance, while also giving you a histogram to judge exposure.
08:04So, while Apple has been known to offer a lot of camera tools to professional photographers,
08:11and a lot of the media that is being produced today is on the iPhone, because we see influencers using
08:17the flagship iPhone devices. But at this year's event, Apple has given iPhone users in the 18 Pro Max
08:25series, something that they have never done before. And that's a variable aperture, the ability to
08:31control manually the amount of light that can come into the sensor. And that has completely changed
08:36the way that people will look at photography from here on. But there are more tools and more features
08:42that have been added to this new camera system that we want to talk about.
08:48All three cameras are now 48MP Fusion cameras. There is the 48MP main, a 48MP ultra-wide,
08:56and a 48MP telephoto.
09:04The telephoto can deliver 4x optical zoom at 100mm, while Apple's optical quality processing
09:10takes that out to an 8x equivalent at 200mm. That gives the Pro models an 8x optical quality
09:19zoom range with digital zoom going up to 40x. And for creators, the camera system gets even more
09:27serious. The phones support ProRes and ProRes RAW, Apple Lock 2, 4K Dolby Vision recording, and improved
09:36stabilization. The front camera also gets an upgrade. It's now an 18MP center stage camera,
09:45with autofocus and the ability to keep subjects framed during photos and video calls. And because
09:52it can rotate the framing automatically, group selfies and video calls don't necessarily require you
09:59to physically reposition the phone. But cameras aren't the only area where Apple has gone after
10:06performance. Underneath both Pro models is the new A20 Pro chipset. It's built on a 2nm process and gets a
10:176-core CPU, 7-core GPU, and a dual 16-core neural engine. Apple says the new chip has 50
10:26% more memory
10:27bandwidth than the previous generation, while the GPU is up to 40% faster.
10:35And don't forget that this year's Apple event was also about Apple intelligence and how AI is being
10:40processed on the device. You're talking about a new A20 processor that has a dedicated neural engine,
10:46which means a lot of the AI processing happens on the device, and that is something that will also
10:52help with computational photography. But here's the thing, with all of that AI being processed on the
10:58device itself, it creates a huge problem and something that the device kind of struggles with,
11:03but Apple has found a solution. What is that problem? It's heat.
11:10And this is where the Pro models get another important upgrade. Apple has redesigned the
11:16thermal system around the new vapor chamber, as the chamber has three times the surface area
11:21of the previous generation, helping spread heat away from the processor during sustained workloads.
11:28Apple says the combination of the new cooling system,
11:31thermal materials and A20 Pro can deliver up to 40% better sustained performance than the previous
11:38generation. That's particularly relevant for demanding gaming, video processing and AI workloads,
11:46situations where peak performance is not enough.
11:54And then there is the display. The 18 Pro continues with a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display,
12:00while the Pro Max gets the larger 6.9-inch panel, but Apple has made the dynamic island smaller.
12:07And despite being smaller, it can actually show more information, including up to three live activities at once.
12:15Apple has also changed the construction. The Pro models use an aluminium unibody with ceramic shield
12:22protection on the front and back. And Apple says the new front ceramic shield 2 has three times better
12:28scratch resistance than the front glass used on the iPhone 16 Pro. But perhaps the most noticeable upgrade
12:36for everyday users could be the battery. The iPhone 18 Pro gets up to 24 hours of typical use.
12:45The Pro Max goes up to 30 hours. And the Pro Max can deliver up to 45 hours of video
12:52playback,
12:52according to Apple's technical specifications. Apple also says the phones can reach up to 50%
12:58charge in around 15 minutes with a compatible adapter. The company is combining more capacity
13:05with a more efficient chip and a redesigned thermal architecture. Connectivity gets an upgrade too.
13:13Both models use Apple's new N1 wireless networking chip, bringing support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and
13:21Thread. And there is Apple's next-generation C2 cellular modem, which Apple says improves cellular
13:27reliability while using lesser power. The C2 also delivers faster uploads compared with the previous
13:35generation. And then running across all of this hardware is iOS 27 and Apple's growing AI layer.
13:46The new Pro models are designed around Siri AI with a more personal context and deeper system integration.
13:53Add the rest of the ingredients I'll need to my grocery list.
14:00An iPhone with more capable cameras, more sustained processing power, more battery,
14:06more manual control, and hardware increasingly designed around AI.
14:17The 18 Pro Max takes the formula and pushes the size and battery even further.
14:22The same core processor, with the same camera system, and the same Pro experience. But,
14:29with the larger 6.9-inch display and the biggest battery leap Apple has delivered on an iPhone.
14:36So, compared with the foldable Duo, the 18 Pro and Pro Max are the more familiar choice. But,
14:43underneath that familiar design, Apple has upgraded almost every major component.
14:50So, has Apple finally made enough changes under the hood to make the 18 Pro feel like a genuinely new
14:57generation? We will see in the coming days.
15:07So, beyond the smartphones, let's also talk about some of the other devices that were launched at this
15:12year's events. I'm talking about the AirPods 5 and also the Apple Watch, the new Apple Watch Series 12,
15:17and also the Ultra upgrade. Now, in terms of the specifications on the AirPods, yes, better ANC for
15:25a lot of people who have been complaining about ANC features and better battery life. But,
15:30the Apple Watch Series gets better health metrics and the health tracking features. So,
15:35a quick look at what the new features are on these new Apple devices and some more.
15:43Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, Apple is changing what the watch can understand.
15:49Both models get the new S11 chip and a redesigned health sensing system built around new optical and
15:57electric heart sensors. And that allows the watch to collect heart rate data much more frequently.
16:04The new optical sensor can measure heart rate every 5 seconds throughout the day. Apple is also increasing
16:11the frequency of heart rate variability measurements, a metric that can provide insights into stress and
16:18recovery. The watch now looks at your recent activity, sleep, vitals and training load and turns all of
16:26that into a single score from 0 to 10. But instead of just giving you a number, it gives you
16:37an action.
16:38Recover, pace yourself, ready or go for it. And that score can change during the day as your activity and
16:47vitals change.
16:53The health app is also getting a bigger role. A new vitals experience brings more of this information
17:00together, while a new health age feature is designed to show how certain health metrics are tracking relative
17:08to your actual age. The S11 chip enables new audio intelligence features, including Live Rewind,
17:18which can capture the previous 15 seconds of a conversation as text. You can then ask Siri about
17:24what was said or save that information to revisit later. There is also Siri Recap designed to help you
17:32remember important moments from conversations throughout your day. So the watch is gradually
17:38moving from a device that tells you what's happening with your body, to one that tries to explain what
17:45that information means. The Ultra 4 takes the same health platform and adds more serious athletes
17:54and outdoor users. It gets a larger battery with up to 50 hours of normal use,
18:01and up to 45 hours of outdoor workout tracking in its maximum extended mode.
18:08GPS accuracy has also been improved while the Ultra keeps its rugged titanium construction.
18:15And charging gets faster too. Apple says just 15 minutes of charging can add up to 18 hours of battery
18:22life on the Ultra 4. The Series 12 gets its own design upgrades. Apple is bringing back a ceramic case
18:29design upgrades, alongside aluminium and titanium options, while the aluminium models get ceramic
18:35shield too for improved durability. But the bigger change is happening under the skin.
18:42Because with Series 12 and Ultra 4, Apple is making a pretty clear bet. The next generation of the
18:50smartwatch isn't necessarily about putting more information on your wrist, it's about making sense of the
18:56information the watch is already collecting. And with more sensors, more frequent measurements and AI
19:03increasingly built into the experience, Apple wants the watch to become less of a companion to your iPhone
19:10and more of a personal health and intelligence device in its own right.
19:18And then there are the AirPods. The biggest upgrade to the AirPods 5 is something previously reserved
19:25for Apple's more expensive models. Apple says the new AirPods can block up to 50% more external noise
19:32than the previous AirPods 4 with ANC while keeping the familiar open-ear design. There is also improved
19:40adaptive equalizer, a more natural transparency mode and conversation awareness which automatically lowers
19:46your music when you start talking to someone. But Apple is also making AirPods smarter.
19:53The new Siri AI features let you interact with the assistant hands-free, including responding with a
20:01simple nod or shake. And then there is live translation. With a compatible iPhone, conversations in supported
20:08languages can be translated in real-time with the translation delivered directly through the AirPods.
20:15The AirPods 5 also get the H2 chip, IP57 water and dust resistance, USB-C charging and up to 5
20:24hours of
20:25listening with ANC. There is also a wireless charging case variant priced higher. So overall,
20:32Apple is taking better noise cancellation, computational audio and AI and bringing them
20:38into a more accessible pair of AirPods. The idea is simple, less reaching for your phone,
20:46more happening directly through your ears. And amid the extravaganza of the tech event,
20:54we also had some celebrity star power at Apple's biggest launch.

21:11The moment of the day was the revealing the new phone. Our duo phone. That was the moment of the
21:18day, don't you think so?
21:19Absolutely. But like, is it your favorite phone till now? We've seen so many launches. Do you think it's your
21:24favorite phone?
21:25It is. Like, I feel like there's a lot of ways you can use it as a creative. So I
21:31do really like it.
21:33But I would like to try it, you know, get my hands on it and use it and see how
21:38I feel.
21:38So, okay, another question I wanted to ask. Since AI is creating a lot of music these days,
21:43we've seen online, what is your take on AI creating music? I feel like if we can use it to
21:51enhance the product
21:54and at the end of the day... Somebody's using your voice and creating the same kind of music.
22:00What's your take on that? No, but that's a different scenario, right?
22:03I think taking from someone and using it is a different thing, but having a tool to being able to
22:09mix it
22:10faster or edit the sounds differently or come up with some more creative things, I think that's another
22:16way of it. So I feel like we've got to have a police and the other side. So, you know
22:21what I mean?
22:22Yeah. So there should be boundaries to it, but also like we can't fight technology, man.
22:27You know, right now you're using iPhone 2. Exactly, like do this interview. Do this interview,
22:32right? We can fight the technology. I'm just saying if we can use it for the best.
22:36So you need, there need to be AI policing. Yeah. And I think that's like, that's the best case scenario.
22:44Correct. And if you can use it as a tool, why not, right? We're making music pretty much,
22:4990% of it is on the... The console, yeah. Yeah, not even the music console,
22:54it's like literally on the MacBooks. Correct, correct. And we're using VSTs, all virtual instruments.
22:59So there's no piano players, player thing, or guitarists. Every session is there. I'm sure they are there.
23:06Absolutely. I work with them. But like, it's not on every session. It's not like bass guitarists
23:10is always playing bass there. Right. So we're using technology anyways, but as long as there's
23:15authenticity in it. Right. Yeah. There's a fine line between like, you know. Absolutely. Yeah.
23:21How conventionally... How conventionally, yeah. So we shouldn't be scared of it. If you are good at
23:25your craft, you shouldn't be scared of it. Okay. Since you're traveling so much, what is that one
23:29device, one product, one technology that you cannot absolutely live without right now?
23:33Like, it would be hard to say phones, right? Is it just the phone? Yeah. Like one piece of technology.
23:39Yeah. If you think, it'll be phone. Like, it's so easy to communicate, send a message,
23:43stay connected, take memos, capture your ideas, whatnot. And if it comes to making music,
23:49I would say MacBook Pro. That's what I use. Wonderful. So... Final question, AP,
23:53when are you coming to India next? When is, when can we expect the next album to come out?
23:58Ah, album soon. Hopefully... Soon. Like, in few months. Okay. I would say. India visit?
