01:00It's a doubtful for LSU against Ole Miss.
01:02I'm wearing a Mincy shirt just in honor of this chaotic mess.
01:05But just keep in mind, this was recorded on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
01:09Okay?
01:10Barstool difference.
01:11Welcome to the Barstool College Football Show, week three of college football.
01:15And, guys, normally we start in studio.
01:17We have been on the road.
01:18We were in Bloomington and then Ann Arbor, but we're officially back.
01:21How are we feeling?
01:22Great.
01:23Are you?
01:24Amazing.
01:25It's college football.
01:26You're 2-0.
01:27Dave, 2-0.
01:28Congrats.
01:292-0.
01:31Obviously, what a difference a week makes for Michigan and my Wolverines.
01:39You know, they needed magic to win that first game, the Hail Mary, and everyone's writing
01:45them off and saying they're dead and the season's over and Underwood's a waste and this and that.
01:48And then they put their stamp.
01:50Kyle Whittingham arrives.
01:51Physical fuck you football.
01:53Beat Oklahoma.
01:54Walker had them as the best defense in the country, obviously.
01:57We've talked a lot about this.
02:00But Michigan now, especially with Ohio State choking Oregon, maybe not that good.
02:06Looks like us and Indiana, the class of the Big Ten, playoff bound.
02:10So, yeah, it was a very good week to be a Michigan Wolverine.
02:15And you honestly, from start to finish, from noon to dominating that football game to midnight
02:22watching Ohio State choke, doesn't get much better than that if you're a Michigan fan.
02:27Brandon, have you been able to digest what happened over the weekend yet?
02:31Oh, I have digested what happened.
02:33And I am excited about it.
02:34We went into Minnesota and destroyed a very good Big Ten team, 38-13.
02:39That's how you handle an out-of-conference team.
02:41I've got the Heisman Trophy winner on my team.
02:43I'm good to go.
02:44And congratulations to Dave.
02:45It was a big win.
02:46They did dominate Oklahoma in the trenches.
02:48And they are 1-1 now.
02:50And it's awesome.
02:51Well, speaking of anything.
02:52You're just going to do that stupid thing the entire season.
02:55It's like.
02:55Probably.
02:56Yeah.
02:57And it's going to really fuck up.
02:59Not that you need any help since your national champion pick was Oregon.
03:04They're not dead.
03:05For the second year in a row, you've been eliminated before you can even pass go.
03:09At least maybe.
03:10I don't think Dan Landon's going to get fired midseason.
03:13But, I mean, who would have thought James Franklin would get fired midseason last year
03:17for your national championship pick?
03:18But if you're going to continue to call them a loss and they continue to be a major factor
03:23on national playoff scales and implications, you're going to ruin all your credibility.
03:28But as I've said, you do a pretty good job of that on your own.
03:32Dan, you said it.
03:34Shut up.
03:35How about you shut up?
03:36You said it on the show last week.
03:38I said it on the show last week, too.
03:39It's like we knew going into Ann Arbor.
03:41Dave's going to get that win.
03:42I mean, Michigan, they were really smart with their game plan, too.
03:45Bryce Underwood is not a good quarterback.
03:48Michigan fans are up in arms.
03:49I keep saying it.
03:50But I do keep saying it because I think they think he's going to just turn into a good quarterback.
03:54He's a tremendous athlete, though.
03:56And his ability to run in that game, what did he end up with, like 25 rushes?
04:0018 for 87.
04:01It was crazy what they were able to do.
04:04They used Bryce Underwood in a way that was winning football.
04:08Is that sustainable for the whole season?
04:09I don't know.
04:10But Michigan, their defense is feisty.
04:14Kyle Winningham's a great, great coach.
04:17Kadick, you were there in Ann Arbor.
04:19Welcome to the show, by the way.
04:20We're happy to have you in your chair over there.
04:22How are you feeling?
04:23I knew going in, like, Michigan's going to win the game.
04:26It just happens like that.
04:29I thought Michigan, like, I watch, everyone watches the ball a lot.
04:32I watch the offensive line.
04:34I thought they played pretty well.
04:36I think Michigan's trenches, I think their pass rush is pretty good.
04:39Just suck off the boss.
04:41I'm not doing that, Brandon.
04:42A new guy to suck off the boss.
04:43I watch a lot of film, Brandon.
04:45I needed a new guy to suck off the boss.
04:48You done?
04:49I'll tell you, this guy that Whittingham brought over daily, he looks like Paul Bunyan there on the end.
04:57I mean, this guy is an absolute game wrecker.
05:02And he may, now, he may be the number one pick in the NFL draft, if my eyes are telling
05:07me the truth.
05:08And two, if Underwood keeps improving at the level he improves from week one to week two, and this is
05:16really his freshman year in my mind, because he didn't have a coach his actual freshman year.
05:22So if he keeps improving, like he did, from week one to week two, well, then we have two number
05:28one picks in the NFL draft and the Heisman Trophy winner.
05:32Brandon, I have to tell you, you're being very calm.
05:34He had 100 yards passing.
05:36They wouldn't let him throw in the second half.
05:38I mean, he's not good.
05:39Dan's right.
05:40He's not good.
05:41I'm just waiting for you to explode.
05:42Bryceman.
05:43Bryce, oh, Bryceman.
05:44You didn't even come up with that.
05:45Who came up with that?
05:46What did he call it?
05:47Somebody did.
05:48The Bryceman Award.
05:49Meek Phil.
05:50That's so bad.
05:51It's pretty bad.
05:51He's not.
05:52I love meek.
05:53He is.
05:53He is a.
05:54It's pretty bad.
05:54He might be a good football player.
05:56He's not a good quarterback.
05:58Okay, well, Dan, if he improves at that level every single week.
06:03But he didn't improve.
06:03But he has not improved this year.
06:06No, no, Dave, he ran the ball really well.
06:09He wasn't like, he wasn't stressing their defense in his arm.
06:13He didn't improve from week one to week two?
06:14No.
06:15What are we talking about?
06:15He had 100 yards passing.
06:16He didn't throw.
06:17Hail Mary was pretty nice in week one, wasn't it?
06:21Well, that was magic.
06:22Yeah.
06:23Right?
06:24This is season nine of this show, and things just never change.
06:27We always talk all about Michigan.
06:29But, Brandon, very quickly, Ohio State-Texas was obviously the big game that happened.
06:33Insane comeback by Archman.
06:34You talk about two quarterbacks that played really well.
06:36What was your takeaway from that game?
06:38It was Ryan Day.
06:39He still doesn't know how to finish games, and he doesn't have a killer instinct.
06:42He's won a national title, and he still gets in these situations
06:44and figures out a way to let the opponent hang around and hang around and hang around.
06:48Good for Sark and good for Arch.
06:50They needed to break through.
06:51But it was more about Ryan Day and Ohio State not closing the door when they had the chance.
06:55But that fourth quarter for Arch Manning was unbelievable.
06:57It was great.
06:57It was awesome.
06:57But, again, how many times did Ohio State have a chance?
07:00I'm not the highest on Arch.
07:02He played so bad in the first half.
07:04I know there was a drop here and there, but, like, it was great.
07:08It was a great comeback.
07:09So many things had to happen for Texas to win that game.
07:11It was – I would still bet Ohio State tomorrow if they played.
07:15Yeah, I would be fine with that.
07:16But, like, Ohio State had five chances to close the door.
07:18And every time they just walked by the door, like, we'll close it later, I guess.
07:21Yeah, we can't underestimate how horrible of a coach Ryan Day is.
07:27I mean, he – we keep saying it.
07:30Listen, anybody on this panel could probably coach Ohio State to ten wins.
07:34They have that much talent.
07:35But when you put game pressure on this guy, he folds like a cheap suit.
07:40He is one of the worst game managers.
07:43He's lost games that they have no business losing in a million years.
07:47So, can he recruit?
07:49Is it him?
07:49Is it other guys?
07:50Is it school?
07:51Whatever it is, they get the players.
07:53But, my God, do you know how bad of a coach you have to be?
07:56His own fan base is talking about firing him and he can't win big games.
08:00You've got a national champion.
08:01Granted, Asterix, because it's his new playoff, Michigan beat him.
08:04But with all the goodwill that he should have,
08:08his fan base still doesn't trust him and want him out.
08:11It's crazy.
08:12Yeah, it was an all-time collapse.
08:13Great win for Texas.
08:14But I agree, Dan.
08:15Ohio State still looked really good.
08:16The thing is, though, is it's only week three.
08:19So, we have a lot of games ahead of us.
08:20Let's go to the High Noon Weekend Preview.
08:22Football season is here.
08:22And whether you're tailgating, watching with the crew, or hosting at home,
08:25High Noon is the perfect seltzer to have on hand.
08:27It's made with real vodka and real juice with no artificial aftertaste.
08:31Light, crisp, and refreshing.
08:32And, as always, my favorite flavor has always been the peach.
08:35And it comes in its own single-flavor eight-pack.
08:38No more fighting for the last one.
08:39Visit HighNoonSpirits.com to find a High Noon near you.
08:42Now, full disclosure, we are recording this on Tuesday because Dave has to go to London
08:47with Big Noon for that show.
08:49So, the lines are going to be changing, but that's all right.
08:51We're just going to ride with it.
08:52We're going to stick with the lines we talked about today, right, boys?
08:54Yes.
08:54Yes.
08:55Okay.
08:55So, let the record show.
08:56We're going to start with the Friday night game, a very big game.
08:58Number 22, Houston.
08:59And number 13, Texas Tech.
09:01Texas Tech, minus 7.5.
09:02The over-under at 53.5.
09:05Dave, Houston and Texas Tech have both played Oregon State.
09:09Now, Texas Tech did win at the end of the game last week.
09:12They pulled away, but they struggled a lot where Houston really handled that whole game.
09:15I know we don't like to always compare common opponents, but in week three, I think it's
09:18safe to say we know what these two teams look like.
09:21What do you expect from these two teams on Friday night?
09:25Well, I do not think in week three that we know what each of these teams will look like.
09:30This line, to me, screams, begs, take Houston for everything you just said, like common
09:36opponent, it's a trap game.
09:40We just filmed a Pick'em podcast.
09:44Dan also declared it a trap game, which makes me think it's such an obvious trap game that
09:51I'm back on Houston.
09:52It's a double trap.
09:54We're not the type of guys who sniff out a trap that easily.
09:58And if we both independently came to the conclusion that it was a trap and we're going to take
10:03Texas Tech, you then have to go back and take Houston.
10:06Nobody, nobody would ever step in a trap if you knew it was a trap.
10:11Right.
10:12Right.
10:12So you're talking yourself out of it being a trap.
10:15So it's a, well, you believed that though.
10:17No, I did the same thing.
10:18Because Dan and I both saw this.
10:20Yeah.
10:20We both saw this gigantic bear trap and we're like, oh, let's step around the bear trap.
10:26Well, then it's clearly not a bear trap and we stepped, we stepped into inadvertently
10:31into the actual trap, which was to take Texas Tech.
10:36Dave and I were walking down the street.
10:38We saw a trap in the distance and we both pointed and we're like, that's a trap.
10:42We turned around and then we fell into a hole.
10:45So now.
10:46Like, you know, one of those nets.
10:47Yeah.
10:47Now we got to realize.
10:49Yeah.
10:50Don't turn around.
10:51Just keep walking towards the trap.
10:53Oh, that's a mirage you actually want.
10:54Correct.
10:55So the trap just doesn't exist in the distance.
10:57We thought it was a trap at the distance.
10:59Okay.
10:59I want you to turn around.
11:01So what's the bet?
11:02So they're taking Houston.
11:03Houston.
11:03Yes.
11:04So they're, they're fading the trap basically.
11:06Okay.
11:06So.
11:06No.
11:07No.
11:08We avoided the real trap.
11:09Yes.
11:09Okay.
11:09I'm sorry.
11:10There is no trap ahead of you.
11:12Those are only the trap behind me.
11:13So you're stepping into the trap.
11:14The fake trap is Houston.
11:15Okay.
11:16Right.
11:16But your real trap is Texas Tech.
11:19And the real, the, the, the, the non-trap is back in Houston.
11:21You're accepting the first trap.
11:23So they're, yes.
11:23It's a fake trap.
11:24Okay.
11:25Okay.
11:25It's a mirage.
11:26So technically there is no trap.
11:27You're staring at the trap.
11:28It's a double negative trap.
11:30There is no trap.
11:31No, it's a double, it's a double negative trap.
11:33There is no trap.
11:34Okay.
11:34So Brandon, are you in the double negative trap?
11:37There's not a trap.
11:38What the fuck?
11:39I don't even know if I'm walking in the trap or away from the trap.
11:42No, you're, you did say something wrong there at the beginning though.
11:45What?
11:45You said both these teams played Oregon State and Houston handled them very easily and Texas
11:49Tech did not.
11:49I mean, this, when you look at the, the amount of yards.
11:52Houston struggled with them too.
11:53Not, not near as much as Texas Tech did.
11:55Texas Tech was tied going into the fourth quarter and Oregon State outgained them by
11:58over a hundred yards.
11:59Houston did have control of that game.
12:01Fair enough.
12:01But Houston struggled a little bit too.
12:03I think this is a moment, I think this is a moment where Texas Tech has to assert their
12:06authority on the, the big 12.
12:08They've looked mediocre the first two weeks.
12:10They're at home now.
12:11They got to do it.
12:12So I'm going to bet Texas Tech.
12:13There's a lot of concern for the Texas Tech past even.
12:15And that is why Dan and I made the right, we made the right pick.
12:19There is no trap.
12:20Don't you agree?
12:21I can't follow you guys into your false trap.
12:24I got to, I got to go into the other trap to see if it's actually a trap.
12:28Right?
12:29So you're going to test the trap.
12:30We can't all go in the same area.
12:32What if it isn't a trap?
12:33I'm going to the Texas Tech trap.
12:35Somebody is.
12:35I'm going to the Texas.
12:36Right, but somebody has to go into the first trap.
12:39Yeah, you're bait.
12:40You're bait.
12:41Brandon bait.
12:42I'm bait.
12:42Wait, but are you, are you taking Texas Tech?
12:45Yes.
12:45So I'm going with Brandon bait because I.
12:47Both are going into the trap.
12:48But what if it's not a trap, Dan?
12:50No, it is.
12:51But you said it isn't.
12:52No, it, no, Texas Tech is the trap.
12:54Okay.
12:55All right.
12:55I got Texas Tech.
12:56The trap, the first, all right.
12:58I can explain it as, as, as clearly as possible.
13:00This will be the last word.
13:00The very first trap is looking at this game and being like, Houston and Texas Tech have
13:07both played the same opponent.
13:08Houston played a little better against them.
13:10You're catching seven and a half.
13:12That's the easiest bet ever.
13:14That's a trap.
13:15In your head, you're like, got to take Texas Tech.
13:18Dave and I both thought that exact same thing, which then means we're not smart enough to
13:23both see the same thing back to Houston.
13:25But does it matter that it's in Lubbock at night?
13:28That has to help a little bit.
13:30No, no.
13:30I explained it exactly how it went out.
13:33Yeah.
13:34So, okay.
13:35Dan nailed it.
13:36You guys just walked into a trap.
13:39I'm following Brandon bait into the trap because I was also going to say.
13:42Let's go into the trap.
13:42Okay.
13:43Should we go to the trap together?
13:44Sure.
13:44Which, which trap are you going to go to?
13:45I feel like I just got a fucking concussion.
13:49I have no idea who any of this trap talk.
13:53I mean, if you just put on the film and watch Texas Tech trenches, their pass rush, their
13:59simulated blitzes on defense, I'm going to walk past Brandon in the trap as bait, and
14:05I'm taking Texas Tech minus seven and a half.
14:07I love it.
14:08So the three of us are going.
14:09The trap that I'm going with you two.
14:12We're going to the trap house.
14:13Okay, we didn't turn around and drop into a net.
14:16No, we're not turning around.
14:17They don't actually.
14:18I don't want to say anything, Dan, but this blows up our entire concept a little bit.
14:23It's killing us.
14:24It's killing us right now.
14:26I'm actually thinking about taking Texas Tech.
14:28Are you going to follow the bait?
14:29I understand, but our concept was.
14:31They have a double negative trap.
14:32Our concept was that everyone would be like, oh, we love Houston.
14:36Yes.
14:37And no one is saying we love Houston.
14:39No, we love Texas Tech.
14:40So it's no longer a trap.
14:41Yeah.
14:41Yeah, so I'm lost now where we're at.
14:45So technically.
14:46I think we've got to take Texas Tech, Dave.
14:49But wouldn't you.
14:49No, you can't take Texas Tech.
14:50But then you're going to have a full board of Texas Tech.
14:53I know.
14:53Then that's a trap.
14:54Someone else has to switch.
14:55Then that's the trap.
14:55I'm not switching.
14:56I'm not switching.
14:57I've been on Texas Tech from the beginning, and again, I do think that the way they played.
15:01We'll stick with it, but this is not going to win.
15:03Their past defense is bad.
15:04Their past defense is not going to win.
15:05Their thesis was everyone's taking Houston, obviously.
15:09Right.
15:10I like Houston.
15:11I could be the scapegoat.
15:12Okay.
15:12Do you actually like that?
15:13I do.
15:14I do actually like Houston.
15:14You like Connor Wegman?
15:15Because I looked at this line, and I thought, hey, that's kind of, dude, they're begging
15:19you to take, like, they, I looked at it like a trap.
15:23So you're in the double negative trap.
15:24So you did what we did, Blockman.
15:25Yes, exactly.
15:26I looked at this line yesterday before Brandon.
15:28And you're like, seven and a half points for teams that should be about even.
15:31Like, that's crazy.
15:32I was looking at probably four and a half Texas Tech.
15:35Yeah.
15:36Okay.
15:36Yes.
15:37So basically, it's three people going into the trap together, and the other people avoiding
15:41the trap to go in their net.
15:43Are we good?
15:44Everybody okay?
15:44I want to switch.
15:45Are you going to switch?
15:46Nope.
15:47Bear trap?
15:47All right, no switch.
15:48Nope.
15:49All right.
15:50No, it's like one of those, like, Vietnam War traps.
15:52That's what I'm...
15:52Bamboo shoots, and you step on it, and it just goes through your foot.
15:56Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:57The spike ones?
15:57Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:58I like that.
15:59It would make perfect sense.
16:00If you've been gambling a long time, what we were saying makes sense now.
16:03I don't, you guys kind of blew that up, which sucks.
16:06Well, we get to talk, too.
16:08I don't, you relax.
16:10Don't be sensitive, dude.
16:11I'm just saying you blew it up because you're your pick.
16:14It's not saying you don't get to talk.
16:16Well, okay.
16:17Brandon, you guys...
16:19Well, I mean, that was...
16:20We get to talk, too.
16:21Yeah.
16:22Listen, we're in full form.
16:24I'm just saying.
16:25That seems kind of serious.
16:26We're in full form.
16:27All right, no, they're recording.
16:29This is absolutely...
16:30I wasn't saying you don't get to talk.
16:31I was just saying.
16:31No, I understand.
16:32I blew it up.
16:35Brandon, are you okay?
16:36Yeah.
16:36Can we move on?
16:36Yeah.
16:37Okay, big game in the ACC.
16:38We know Miami is the top again.
16:40It's only week three.
16:41But then you've got SMU and Louisville.
16:43And when you look at this game, Dan, I'll start with you.
16:4516 SMU at number 23 Louisville.
16:47Louisville right now, again, on Tuesday, minus one and a half.
16:49The over under 59 and a half.
16:51SMU and Louisville have been really good this year.
16:54Yes, Louisville lost to Ole Miss, but they hung in.
16:55But what Kevin Jennings has been doing at SMU, having eight touchdowns through two games,
17:00this is a legit team in this conference.
17:02Yeah, I love both offenses in this game.
17:04I'm going to take the over 59 and a half, Keene Holtz and Kevin Jennings.
17:08I did – SMU is a little bit of a dumb football team when you watch.
17:13Like, they will kind of be loose with the football.
17:16That first game against Florida State, they should have scored a million.
17:18But I'm going to take the over in this game.
17:20I like both quarterbacks, and that can be the difference in terms of, like,
17:23that's what you need for points in a college football game.
17:26Brandon?
17:26Yeah, I like Louisville.
17:27They're at home.
17:28They were great against Ole Miss, especially in the second half.
17:30They figured something out there.
17:32I circled this game early in August.
17:34I mean, this is always going to be maybe the most important ACC game of the year
17:37because Miami really doesn't play anybody.
17:39So, I've got Louisville.
17:40Louisville minus one and a half.
17:41Dave, what do you think?
17:42I'm taking Louisville as well.
17:46Would it shock me if I went to SMU?
17:47No, but I'm taking Louisville.
17:49I'm going to take SMU.
17:49I like the over as well, too.
17:51Yeah, there's going to be a ton of points.
17:52I mean, like we said, with these offenses and, again,
17:54what Kevin Jennings has done, they've been in a row.
17:55I'm going to take SMU.
17:56I think that going into this season – and I took Ole Miss versus Louisville.
17:59Obviously, that game was very close, but I think SMU, even though they are ranked 16th,
18:04I feel like people are still kind of waiting.
18:05Like, okay, they beat Baylor by, you know, however many points.
18:08Kevin Jennings had five touchdowns, but I feel like SMU is still not getting as much credit.
18:11I'm going to take SMU to win the football game.
18:13Kata Kuba, what about you?
18:14SMU as well.
18:15Like Dan, I like both their offenses.
18:17I don't like either of their defenses, and I think Kevin Jennings is the difference here.
18:20I'm taking SMU plus one and a half.
18:22What do you think, Blutman?
18:23I actually really like Louisville's pass rush.
18:25I think they're a better unit that they've shown.
18:27I like A.J. Green off the edge a lot.
18:30I think he'll be a difference.
18:31I like Keenholz more than Kevin.
18:33I'm not really a Kevin Jennings guy.
18:34I think he makes way too many mistakes.
18:36I like Louisville.
18:37All right.
18:37The big game of the weekend, the game that everybody has had circled since all of the chaos last year.
18:43Number seven, LSU.
18:45At number eight, Ole Miss.
18:46LSU minus three.
18:47The over-under at 58 and a half.
18:49Obviously, the storyline, Lane Kiffin returning to Oxford.
18:52Brandon, this feels like this is just an absolute chaotic night waiting to happen.
18:57I mean, just everything going into this.
18:59The game itself doesn't even seem to matter as much as Lane showing back up.
19:02Yeah, it's going to be nasty.
19:03They hate him.
19:04They absolutely hate him.
19:05And Mincy is trying to find a frat house couch to sleep on as we speak.
19:09Still hasn't been able to find one.
19:10So prayers sent to Mincy and Tate as they go down there and sleep in somebody's garage.
19:16I just think of Lane Kiffin on that Sunday night when Ole Miss was playing in Louisville.
19:21And he was watching that Ole Miss defense in the second half.
19:24Knowing he's practiced against these guys.
19:25Knowing he's practiced against Pete Golding for years and years and years.
19:29Thinking of ways he was going to score in this game.
19:31I like Lane.
19:32I just think he's a much better coach than Pete Golding.
19:34The coaching staff is better on LSU.
19:36The passion and the hatred will be on Ole Miss' side.
19:39I think LSU wins the game.
19:41I agree with Brandon.
19:42We're having this debate.
19:43And, Kadek, you might be able to weigh in on it.
19:46Like, the fans obviously hate Lane Kiffin.
19:49Do you think the players hate Lane Kiffin on Ole Miss as much?
19:52No.
19:52Right.
19:53Because there's a lot of those guys that are like, he gave me a start.
19:55He got me.
19:56Yeah.
19:56Lane Kiffin recruited these guys.
19:58He's given them, you know, a field to play on.
20:02A culture to build into.
20:04They have no bad blood.
20:05Like, when our coaches get fired or they go to a different place, I don't hate them.
20:09Right.
20:09I still respect them for giving me.
20:10Well, that's a little different.
20:11I mean, we've got to remember, it's not that he got fired or went to a different place.
20:15Yeah.
20:15He lied.
20:16He left them at the altar.
20:17I mean, they were getting married.
20:19For sure.
20:19Like, see ya.
20:20And said, and then left Ole Miss going into the playoffs with a chance to win a national
20:28champion, said, by the way, I'm going to LSU because we can't win a national championship
20:34at Ole Miss, even though you're going into the playoffs, and then raided the cupboard.
20:39So, I don't think that's just a coach getting fired or changing.
20:43For sure.
20:43It's when he did it and how he did it.
20:45I just think that we do fan logic into the actual game, and I think it's just a – and
20:51there were comments from players taking shots at him last year.
20:55Yeah, and I also do think, like, yes, the fan perspective is different, but when you
20:58have Lane Kiffin and the drama that he likes to create himself, I mean, he does that.
21:02I mean, we can't forget that he had to get off of social media in the offseason because
21:06he insinuated that people at Ole Miss are racist.
21:08Like, this is a much bigger thing than just a coach taking a better job.
21:13That, to me, is fan again.
21:14Like, that's fan anger, not player anger.
21:16But if you're a player there, you have to feel like if he's taking shots at your school
21:19like that.
21:19I don't know.
21:20I could be completely wrong.
21:21I'm still transactional now.
21:22He's also the reason Trinidad Chambliss was making $5 million last year.
21:25Correct.
21:25Correct.
21:25That was my point as well.
21:26Keywon Lacey.
21:27Yeah.
21:28I'm just saying from our standpoint, it looks like that.
21:30I do think Lane Kiffin is different.
21:31But when you look at this – so Pete Golding did mention, of course, they're going to
21:33try to change their signals.
21:34And, K-Dig, you've played – like, Lane Kiffin still understands not only these players,
21:39his coaching staff.
21:40Like, you can change signals and try to confuse them a little bit.
21:42But he knows exactly what's going to be going on on that sideline.
21:45Just by personnel and package-wise.
21:46Like, they're going to know everything they're doing.
21:48They can huddle and do whatever they want.
21:49But at the end of the day, like, he's been with these guys.
21:51He's watched so much film at this point.
21:53Like, he knows what they're going to be running.
21:55It's just about execution at the end of the day.
21:57And I think LSU's a better team, better coaching staff, better coordinators.
22:01I think they go into Oxford and get a win.
22:04And I'll be down there as well.
22:05So –
22:05You will.
22:06I'm excited.
22:07Yeah, with Dana.
22:08I'm going to take LSU as well.
22:10I think they're a better team.
22:12Dave, who are you taking?
22:13Pete Given's a better coach.
22:14You take an Ole Miss.
22:15I think hate will carry the day.
22:17I think there's going to be a lot of motion on both sides.
22:22And, yeah, LSU clearly looked great against Clemson.
22:27And I don't think they tried last week.
22:30But I don't know what that shows about Clemson.
22:33It's still, you know, year one for Laney.
22:35He's got a lot of good guys.
22:36But Ole Miss, he built that program up.
22:38I don't think it's falling apart in 24 hours or a year or however you want to say it.
22:43They still got a great quarterback.
22:44I think they're ready for this game.
22:46I mean, I think catching points at home in this environment, give me Ole Miss.
22:52You mentioned they didn't try last week.
22:53Because I agree.
22:54Like, Louisiana Tech, and they obviously came off the hangover of Clemson.
22:56But Sam Levitt still did have three interceptions.
22:59I don't expect him to make as many mistakes.
23:01But against Ole Miss defense at home with all of this drama, I have Ole Miss in the playoff.
23:05I think Ole Miss is going to win this game as well.
23:07But the thing with LSU is their defense is really good.
23:09Now, they played Louisiana Tech, and I get that.
23:11But they've only allowed 285 total yards in two games.
23:13They're a legit team.
23:15I just think, Brandon, you know this.
23:16With college football storylines, especially from what we've seen the last two weeks already,
23:20this season is built to be chaotic.
23:22And Lane Kiffin losing at his return at Oxford seems like that could fit that storyline.
23:26Well, Lane Kiffin winning in his return also fits that storyline.
23:29I feel like people expect that at this point, though.
23:31I feel like the majority of people out there are like, LSU's going to make the playoff.
23:35LSU's the better team, which they do look like it.
23:38But, I mean, I just feel like him losing at Oxford seems like the drama that he could create.
23:42But Lane burning down the house he built is chaotic.
23:44But didn't he do that on his way out already?
23:46Not really.
23:47Either way is chaotic.
23:47They kept most of their players.
23:49I mean, it's not like he took, like, what, three guys?
23:51You can't turn a hoe into a housewife, though, right?
23:53Wasn't that the whole thing?
23:54All right, let's go to the Dark Horse Parlay presented by DraftKings.
23:58I'm going to let Liam come over.
23:59He's going to try.
24:00Oh, he's stuck on the chair.
24:02Did you guys see that?
24:03Bloodman just almost fell over.
24:04Football is back.
24:05And with the DraftKings Sportsbook, September comes with a boost.
24:07All September long, opt in and get a 50% profit boost every game day with the DraftKings Game

24:1750% profit boost every game day all September long.
24:20Now, DraftKings Sportsbook customers, if you use promo code CFB, you get 50% off a profit
24:25boost every game day.
24:27That's code CFB in partnership with DraftKings.
24:29The crown is yours.
24:31Bloodman, I'm just going to have you go ahead because we've already talked about this game.
24:33I'm taking SMU, they're plus one and a half on Tuesday.
24:37I'm taking them to win the game, but just for the sake of the parlay, let's go plus one
24:41and a half.
24:41I love Kevin Jennings.
24:42I think that they're going to win this football game.
24:44Dave, who are you taking?
24:47So put it up there, Bloodman.
24:51Who you got?
24:53Oh, I thought it was there.
24:54I thought you already had it.
24:55Right there.
24:56I'm switching.
24:57Oh.
24:58I originally, yeah, I'm switching.
25:01I originally had Mississippi State on there, and then I did some critical thinking and
25:08some hard thinking and some reflection.
25:11And Brandon Walker's a loser.
25:13This guy's a piece of shit.
25:14And I really believed in Mississippi State.
25:19They were my mortal lock last week.
25:20We won by 25 points.
25:21And they were my mortal lock.
25:23And Brandon Walker and this quarterback, they're high at Mississippi State.
25:29I'm like, I think they're going to go in and win this game.
25:31And then I'm like, he is a fucking loser.
25:35And I'm a winner.
25:36And he's not going to have this run of Mississippi State.
25:40So it's perfectly like Walker to have the hopes this high and then go into South Carolina
25:48and get boat raced.
25:49So I can't pick them.
25:51South Carolina, they're a favorite.
25:52I switched to Purdue.
25:54So I'm going to take Purdue, sorry, Blutman, plus the 14 against UCLA.
25:58I don't, I don't.
26:00Brandon, you had to know this was coming.
26:02I could have a morning show at Miss 98 in Tupelo tomorrow.
26:05Do it.
26:05Tomorrow.
26:06Do it.
26:07Would you get paid as much?
26:09Huh?
26:09No.
26:10Would you get paid as much?
26:11No.
26:11Certainly not.
26:12You can put up a lot with your seven-figure paycheck, Brandon.
26:14Who's your dark horse?
26:18I like NC State plus three and a half at Vanderbilt.
26:20Vanderbilt hasn't been impressive.
26:21They've been in two dogfights.
26:23They were in a dogfight with Delaware.
26:24They were in a dogfight in week one.
26:26NC State got boat raced on the road by Virginia in week one.
26:30But I think that with the quarterback, they're better than they showed.
26:32I like NC State to keep it close at Vanderbilt.
26:34Dan?
26:35Liam?
26:36Doing our boy.
26:39Jason Eck.
26:40Mexico plus 22 and a half.
26:42Listen, everyone's going to look at this spot and be like, oh, Oklahoma just lost to Michigan.
26:46Get right spot.
26:47Jason Eck's not scared of the big guys.
26:49He almost beat Oregon.
26:50He had Oregon on the ropes with Idaho two years ago.
26:53He went to the big house last year, kept that a two-score game.
26:57I'm not saying they're going to win, but I think New Mexico will be live and stay in this game.
27:02Killed UCLA last year.
27:04Killed UCLA last year.
27:05Yeah, he's not afraid of the Power Five guys.
27:07And Oklahoma's beating up.
27:08Oklahoma's beating up.
27:10That's just not good.
27:11Down bad.
27:11So the odds are plus 1185 for that.
27:14Go to DraftKings.
27:15Use promo code CFB.
27:17All right, let's go to the Goat of the Week presented by Reese's.
27:19Caden, go ahead and eat some of those Reese's.
27:20Give some to Brandon, too.
27:22I think he has some, but you know he's going to eat all of them anyways.
27:24Every week brings another chance for players to submit their legacy as the Goat.
27:28While the debate rages on about who's the best on the field, there's zero debate.
27:31There is a lot going on in the candy aisle.
27:34Reese's is an undisputed Goat of Candy, dominating the game with an unbeatable combo of rich chocolate
27:39and peanut butter.
27:39So whether you're gearing up for kickoff or watching from the couch, bring the ultimate
27:43MVP to the game day spread because everything happens for a Reese's.
27:47All right, Dave, I will start with you.
27:49Who is your fan, coach, player?
27:51My Goat's Kyle Whittingham.
27:54All offseason, I put my faith in this man as a leader of men.
27:58That he was one of the best coaches in the country.
28:00That he would bring his brand of football to Ann Arbor.
28:04We didn't have a coach last year.
28:06It was institutional chaos.
28:08It reminded me of Ohio State.
28:10And Kyle Whittingham, week one, there were questions.
28:13Was there buy-in?
28:14Was his method working?
28:15Did the camp work?
28:16In week two, we saw Kyle Whittingham stamp all over this team.
28:21Hard, physical, gritty, dirty, grimy football.
28:27Dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides.
28:30I have high hopes now.
28:34The sky is the limit for this Michigan team.
28:37Kyle Whittingham is everything I could have dreamed of and more.
28:40He's my Goat of the Week.
28:42Brandon, Kyle Whittingham's a nice guy.
28:44You like him, right?
28:45He's a really good coach.
28:46Yeah.
28:46Really good coach.
28:47He's a really classy guy.
28:48We had him on Wake Up Bar School.
28:49I know.
28:49I saw you.
28:50Dave was doing his stupid-ass shtick that he does.
28:52And then Kyle Whittingham was just being as classy as he could be.
28:54He's an awesome man.
28:55It's hard.
28:55I hate that he's there.
28:56I know you hate Michigan.
28:58They don't deserve a man as good as that.
28:59They deserve a scoundrel, an asshole, a cheater.
29:02They deserve all those things because that's who they are.
29:04By the way, when we were at the show in Ann Arbor last weekend, you guys were calling Sharon
29:07Moore a pervert.
29:07It was so funny watching the kids in the crowd not know if they should agree or not.
29:11By the way, this time last year...
29:12He is a pervert, but they didn't know what...
29:14I mean, he was still their coach.
29:15This time last year, Dave still believed in Sharon Moore.
29:18Still was calling Michigan Goal playoffs.
29:19Still was doing all these things.
29:20You cannot spell loyalty without Dave Porter.
29:24I will stand by my team, my men, as long as I need to until it's too late and you
29:30can't
29:30stand by them anymore.
29:31That's just how I'm wired, Walker.
29:33Until the Butterknife situation, which is still unbelievable.
29:35All right, Dan, who's your goat?
29:37What was the...
29:38I mean, Butternight's crazy.
29:39What was the text that Sharon Moore, the Snapchat, it was like, come suck me.
29:43I need to get sucked right now.
29:45Yeah, come to the hotel.
29:45Come to the hotel.
29:46I need to get sucked right now.
29:47A Butterknife is crazy.
29:48A pervert.
29:49Okay, my go to the week is Joe Moorhead, who is former friend of Brandon Walker.
29:54Yep.
29:54Akron head coach.
29:55So, Akron did their giveaway to have a fan or someone run the first series for them against
30:03Robert Morris.
30:05Akron fumbled four plays in.
30:07So, that fan only got four plays.
30:08Joe Moorhead, though, afterwards, classy guy, said that I had required...
30:13I requested, which I did, for them to run Shark Wheel.
30:15They actually scored their first touchdown with the Shark Wheel play.
30:18So, shout out to Joe Moorhead.
30:20That was very nice of him.
30:21We had ten finalists and some big names who, you know, were not selected by our Department
30:29of Accounting, namely Barstool Big Cat.
30:31I did hear through the grapevine that, in lieu of him winning the contest, that there
30:36was one play he wanted to run Shark Wheel.
30:39And, incidentally enough, that play is in our playbook.
30:41And the first touchdown to Sean Patrick was, indeed, Shark Wheel.
30:47So, shout out Big Cat.
30:48I didn't win the offensive coordinator, but he still used my play.
30:51So, I appreciate that very much from Joe Moorhead.
30:53Great play.
30:54Yeah.
30:54Great play.
30:55Put the linebacker in hell.
30:56Yeah.
30:57Unbelievable.
30:57Brandon?
30:58Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to do it every week.
31:00We'll see.
31:01It's Kamario Taylor.
31:02Kamario Taylor from Mississippi State.
31:04That's my Goat of the Week.
31:05They scored on their first four drives at Minnesota.
31:08Scored on their first seven drives in the first week.
31:10He's incredible.
31:11He threw for 288 yards.
31:13He ran for another 2,000 or something.
31:15He's just the best player in America, and it's time that everybody recognizes that.
31:18He is the Goat of the Week, and will probably be the Goat of the Week every single year.
31:21Are you worried about Dave's spite-spending to get him away from Mississippi State?
31:25No, because Dave doesn't actually spin in an IEL.
31:26He just pretends to.
31:28Dave goes out on Twitter and says, I'm going to buy a great quarterback, and then an actual
31:32rich person comes along and says, I'll handle that, Dave, and pats him on the head and says,
31:35I got it, and then buys a terrible quarterback.
31:37Well, either way, I can take your quarterback at the snap of my fingers, but I'm happy with
31:43mine.
31:44And if you don't watch yourself, I will spite-take him, whether it's my money or someone
31:49else's money.
31:50I can pick and choose anybody from your roster that I want.
31:53Just know, when you put your head on your pillow, I own your roster.
31:58Nope.
31:59Spite-spending.
32:00Not happening.
32:00He loves Mississippi State.
32:01When he said that last week on the show, the look in your eye, you had a look in your
32:04eye.
32:05You were a little scared.
32:05Fuck him.
32:06I'm not scared of him.
32:07You're not scared at all.
32:08No.
32:09Not Dave, but you're not.
32:09No.
32:10He said-
32:10I don't want it.
32:11We have a quarterback, but-
32:13You don't.
32:14You don't.
32:15Well, we do.
32:16We do.
32:17He's going to be at Mississippi State, though, next year?
32:18Yes, he's going to be at Mississippi State for two more years than he's going to the
32:21draft.
32:21He's going to be number one pick.
32:22He's not going to Mississippi State next year.
32:24That's a fact.
32:25No, it's not.
32:26I talked to him.
32:27Have you talked to him?
32:28Because I talked to him.
32:29On the Brandon Walker College football show, you interviewed him.
32:31How was that?
32:32But I know this.
32:33It was good.
32:33I know this.
32:34Money talks.
32:35We got money.
32:37No, you don't.
32:38We got money.
32:39How much money-
32:40How much money you got?
32:41Casey, why don't you move the damn show along?
32:43Wait, I'm confused, though.
32:44Why does Michigan even need Kamario Taylor when they have Briceman?
32:47That's what I'm-
32:47That's what I'm asking.
32:48Correct.
32:48That's what Dave said to him.
32:50Bluntman, I've said I don't need him.
32:52I would just get him to spite Brandon.
32:54He can't.
32:55He can't hear me.
32:55Put him at wide receiver.
32:59That was mean.
33:00That was-
33:00That was nasty.
33:01That was uncalled for.
33:02All right, Katie, who's your good of the week?
33:03I'm taking the best wide receiver in the country, Charlie Becker.
33:08Listen, Indiana has played some very tough first couple games against really good defenses
33:12like Howard.
33:14He had zero career drops.
33:16Zero.
33:17Charlie Becker.
33:18He went three catches for three touchdowns last week for like 80 yards.
33:22Unbelievable deep threat.
33:23Track star.
33:24He's the best wide receiver in the country.
33:26Charlie B. from Nashville, Tennessee.
33:27So this entire week, I know we talked about it in the game preview, but it's all about
33:31Lane Kiffin returning to Oxford.
33:33And thus far through the college football season, he has been the goat of garnering attention.
33:37We saw him walk out with Livvy Dunn, Brooks Nader, Theo Vaughn.
33:41He was with Lil Wayne.
33:42He was with Boozy.
33:43He was with the Honey Badger.
33:44I just don't know what to expect, Brandon, when he goes into Oxford.
33:48Like, I know he's obviously not going to get to walk out with these types of celebrities
33:51going into Oxford.
33:52But what's he going to pull this weekend?
33:54Walking out.
33:55Because he, I mean.
33:56I think I got invited to this walk out, by the way.
33:58This one?
33:59Like for Oxford?
34:00No.
34:00Like a future LSU walk out.
34:03I like, I have to know, because are they like stacking this?
34:05Like, I mean, Wayne, Wayne makes sense completely.
34:08Like, are they, like, is Dave, like, slated for week 10?
34:11Are they stacking this out?
34:12Well, I'm not doing it.
34:13I don't, I'm not, I can't go to an LSU game.
34:15I don't know that I'd do it anyways.
34:17I'm a Michigan guy.
34:18But I was told that I was invited to be part of a walk out.
34:22So, I mean, that's an honor.
34:23Yeah, it sounds like they're making plans to invite people in the future.
34:25Which makes complete sense.
34:27But, I mean, he, when Deion did this, people didn't like it.
34:29People don't like it as much when Lane does it either.
34:31But I think it's awesome.
34:31I think it's great.
34:32Obviously, I'm very biased when it comes to the rapper game in New Orleans.
34:35But, Brandon, what's he going to do this weekend?
34:37He's going to go in there and win.
34:38I don't know that he can do anything fancy this weekend.
34:41Because every time a LSU bus parks, there's just going to be a bunch of bow-tied preppy assholes
34:45sitting there giving him the finger and calling him whatever.
34:47But you know he can't just walk in there quietly.
34:49He doesn't know how.
34:50I think that's exactly what he does.
34:51I guess we were at Tennessee, what year was that, 2021, when they were the mustard?
34:55But he didn't have the full Lane Kiffin yet.
34:57No, it wasn't full Lane Kiffin.
34:58But I think he just walks off the bus, walks into the stadium, tries to hang 50, and then leaves.
35:03Just being a goat every week.
35:05Yeah, that's all he's going to try to do.
35:06Let's go to the flash picks.
35:08Now, it's post-game press conference.
35:09Well, that's the thing.
35:10He knows whether he wants to ever admit it or not.
35:13He knows he loves the drama on social media.
35:15There's no way that this man is going to be quiet this weekend, regardless of what happens.
35:19But it's fun to watch on social media.
35:21Let's go to the flash picks presented by the Body Armor Flash IV.
35:24It's packed with electrolytes, delivering faster, longer-lasting hydration without any artificial dyes, flavors, or sweeteners.
35:30Whether training, traveling, just feeling the heat, or cheering on your team, stay hydrated.
35:34Work hard and hydrate hard with Body Armor Flash IV.
35:37Grab it at 7-Eleven.
35:38So we haven't talked about this the last couple weeks because we've been on the road, but every year we
35:41have been giving money to charity.
35:43So $10,000, I'm going to let everybody go around the room.
35:47Dave, go ahead.
35:48I'm assuming I know which one yours is.
35:51Yeah, I'm doing Lifeline Animal Shelter.
35:53That's obviously where I got Peaches and Pete.
35:54Am I doing my pick right now?
35:56If you want to, go for it.
35:58Yeah, sure.
35:58So, again, this is wrong on the sheet.
36:00I changed it.
36:02Originally, my pick was Ole Miss.
36:04I think they're going to win.
36:05I've switched it to South Carolina.
36:09This guy is such a piece of shit.
36:12I'm not doing it to be antagonistic, Brandon.
36:15I'm not.
36:16Brandon, it's okay.
36:17You're not doing it to be antagonistic.
36:18He just happens to be his pick is involved in my game every week?
36:21Well, he did take it off of the dark horse parlay.
36:24He had a great pick last week when he picked Mississippi.
36:27He did.
36:27With respect, Brandon.
36:28I picked for them last week.
36:31This week, I just, I can't see.
36:35It's like, yes, you have such a big hope,
36:38and now I feel like it's the time for the Iron Sheik
36:41to break your back and make you humble.
36:43You're a loser.
36:44So, I'm taking South Carolina because I just don't see a world
36:49where Brandon Walker has a happy college football season.
36:52Using a wrestling analogy there was...
36:56Brandon, it's okay.
36:57Take a deep breath.
36:58Who do you guys have next week?
37:00Missouri.
37:02Who do you have the week after that?
37:04Off week and then Alabama.
37:07But you're going to that game, aren't you?
37:08Huh?
37:08Aren't you going to that game?
37:09I'm trying to go to the Alabama game.
37:10It depends on how the schedule works out for Fox and all that.
37:12Yeah, I mean, it's this week or next week, Dave.
37:15They won't be on the field going to Bama.
37:17Listen, I'm terrified of South Carolina.
37:19I've had them ranked in the top 25.
37:20I think they're very underrated.
37:21Lenore Sellers is good.
37:22So, if we lose this game, it's not like my world comes crashing down
37:25where we're a road underdog.
37:27So, like, he can't act like Brandon Walker's a loser if they lose this game.
37:31Here's why it comes crashing down.
37:33Because I have everything now.
37:35And at least when you're looking good with your team.
37:39He had a Hail Mary.
37:40They cheated Western Michigan out of a game.
37:42We're acting like he's...
37:43Here it is.
37:44Well, why won't somebody speak up?
37:45Somebody say something.
37:46Because that's supposed to be your job.
37:47I am speaking up.
37:48I don't know what you want me to say.
37:49Yeah.
37:50I thought it was bullshit that Michigan won the first game, but...
37:53They didn't win the first game.
37:54We did this whole thing last week in Ann Arbor.
37:56We're already at 2-0.
37:57Like, you can't go back at this point.
37:59They're still losing five games.
38:01Had they lost to Oklahoma, we could all pile on, but they...
38:03Fuck you, Oklahoma.
38:04Fuck you, Brent Medibles.
38:05Yeah, no, Oklahoma's really the evil one here.
38:07Yes.
38:08Agreed.
38:08Because we could have piled on, but, you know, they beat Oklahoma.
38:11You weren't going to pile on.
38:12Why did you say we could have piled on?
38:13We could have...
38:14You weren't going to pile on.
38:15When do you guys play Michigan?
38:17You shut up!
38:17Do you guys play Michigan?
38:19Huh?
38:19Do you play Michigan?
38:20Yes.
38:20No.
38:20Yes.
38:21Last time I played them, we won.
38:23No, no.
38:23Did you play them this year?
38:24Oh, we played them this year, yes, after Ohio State.
38:26Week six, it looks like it'll be 6-0, 6-0, I think.
38:29So you've got to do that.
38:30And then over.
38:30You've got to handle that.
38:31Yeah.
38:32Act Michigan.
38:33If you don't handle this, we've got a problem.
38:35You have to handle it.
38:36You're the one who has to handle it.
38:38I know.
38:38It's on you now.
38:39I know.
38:39Welcome.
38:40Welcome.
38:40It's on you.
38:41All right, Brandon, I'll let you go just to get your attitude better.
38:44Who's your charity and who are you picking?
38:46Mario Taylor's NIL Fund.
38:49That's great, man.
38:51I didn't think of that.
38:53Mine is called Extra Table.
38:55It is a food bank provider in Mississippi that takes care of the hungry by funding 70 food banks throughout
39:01the state of Mississippi.
39:0270 communities get all of their food for their food banks for hungry people from Extra Table.
39:06That is my charity for this year.
39:09And my pick will be on the Plains and Auburn.
39:12We're 2-0 Auburn and 2-0 Florida.
39:14Two new coaches.
39:15I think Auburn just doesn't have the offense of the quarterback.
39:18I think Florida is a really good team.
39:20Florida is the team that might be off to a 6-0 start because Florida has Ole Miss coming off
39:24LSU next weekend at home.
39:25If they win this game, 6-0 is in their sights.
39:27I think that's going to happen.
39:28Florida might have 2-1 at Auburn.
39:31USF, obviously, incredible season last year.
39:35When they play a Power 5 team or Power 4 team, DJ Lagway has to be the quarterback they're playing
39:41against.
39:41Otherwise, they're going to get smushed.
39:42That's what they've done.
39:44They've beaten DJ Lagway in two straight years.
39:46Everyone else, you know.
39:48And Florida's defense is pretty good.
39:50And their receivers are great.
39:51Their running back is great.
39:52And their quarterback is quietly looking pretty damn good.
39:55That made K-Dick giggle, by the way.
39:56That was a full-blown big boy giggle.
39:58It's kind of funny to look at it and it's just like, all right.
40:00Because I was thinking in my head.
40:01I was like, USF, I like these teams that bring all their players.
40:05And I do think Goalsh is going to be a good coach long term.
40:07But they bring all their players.
40:10They beat DJ Lagway last year.
40:11They beat DJ Lagway this year.
40:13They didn't really look great either one of those when they were playing these Power 4 teams.
40:18And then they got killed by Miami.
40:20So, I think Florida's going to be just horrendous.
40:22Yeah.
40:23Just a straight giggle.
40:24All right, Dan, who is your charity and what's your pick?
40:25I'm doing the Lost Boys, which I've mentioned before when I've won the 50-50.
40:29I've won it twice.
40:30No big deal.
40:31The Lost Boys, great charity.
40:33It's a youth baseball serving underprivileged youth in South Shore of Chicago.
40:37Levante Stewart, great guy.
40:39He runs an entire league helping kids.
40:42The after-school programs as well.
40:43So, I'm going to change.
40:45On here, I have it wrong.
40:47I'm going to take Georgia minus 24.5.
40:49I think Arkansas is very bad.
40:51One of the worst.
40:52And Ryan Silverfield talked a little bit of junk to Kirby this summer,
40:55talking about how they all speed and get arrested.
40:58You can't do that.
40:59Georgia is one of those teams that, I mean, no, they played nobody.
41:03They're flying a little under the national radar.
41:06Yeah.
41:06It's been a lot of oxygen towards Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, Michigan.
41:10Georgia, I said it before the season.
41:12I think they're – Bluntman and I are picked to win the national title.
41:16Me, you, Witt, and Yandel.
41:17Yep.
41:17They could be up 28-0.
41:19Yeah.
41:19Ten minutes.
41:19Arkansas is one of the worst teams we've got this season.
41:22They are so bad.
41:24All right, Kadic, who is your charity and what's your pick?
41:27Alberto and Fernando Mendoza started the Mendoza Family Fund.
41:30Their mother, Elsa, has MS.
41:33So, they started that last year supporting her and everyone fighting MS.
41:37So, that's my charity.
41:38And I think Dave said it earlier, the over in LSU Ole Miss I'm taking, I think it's going to
41:44be a shootout towards the end, like a 42-38 game.
41:47Oh, that would be awesome.
41:48God, it would be so sick.
41:49Yeah, I think LSU comes out on top.
41:51A lot of points.
41:51All right, I am going three years in a row.
41:53The Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund, pretty self-explanatory.
41:57I'm going to take Arizona State.
41:59Right now, it's minus 5.5 versus Kansas.
42:01I'm worried the line is going to move.
42:03But Arizona State, I mean, the score last week against A&M looked a lot more out of hand than
42:07it actually was.
42:07Arizona State hung in that game at Kyle Field.
42:10I think they look really good.
42:10Kansas did not look good last week at all.
42:12Lost to Missouri 38-21.
42:14I think Arizona State is very good.
42:17I think they're going to blow them out.
42:20Also, I have to mention, I'm 0-2.
42:21I've won the last two years.
42:23I'm getting absolutely cooked.
42:24So, I am praying that Arizona State wins this football game.
42:27Let's go to real contenders.
42:28I'm 2-0.
42:29They fixed it on the screen, right?
42:31They have a 1-1 on the sheet.
42:32It's updated.
42:33But I'm 2-0 because they don't know how to count.
42:35It's updated.
42:36What was your last pick?
42:37It was Auburn minus 33.5.
42:39They won 43-8.
42:40Yeah, I mean, so Kadic and Brandon are 2-0.
42:43Dave and Dan are 1-1.
42:44Like I said, I'm 0-2.
42:45But I have won the last two years.
42:47So, I'm okay with being dead last.
42:49Kadic, you do this show.
42:49You've got to watch these people around here.
42:51You've got to watch these people around here.
42:53Watching you.
42:53You learn from me.
42:54I don't really think that.
42:56What?
42:57What?
42:57You can watch other things, but like picks are picks.
43:00Picks are picks, yeah.
43:01The world's not out to get you.
43:03You've got to watch these people around here.
43:04Yeah.
43:04Whatever.
43:05It was just a math problem.
43:07He's not paranoid.
43:08He just thinks everyone's out to get him.
43:09You've just got to watch them.
43:11All right, it's time for High Noon's Real Contenders and Real Pretenders.
43:14It's made with real vodka and real juice with no artificial aftertaste.
43:17Light, crisp, and refreshing.
43:19High Noon is always a real contender.
43:21Dave?
43:22Take a wild guess.
43:24Real contender.
43:26University of Michigan Wolverines.
43:29A lot of people have written them off now.
43:31That was an elimination playoff game de facto with Oklahoma, which we dominate.
43:37I love this defense.
43:38I love everything about Whittingham.
43:41The quarterback's coming around.
43:43This is a playoff team.
43:44By the end of the season, a national championship contender.
43:47They're real, real contender Michigan Wolverines.
43:52Brandon, would you?
43:53I have nothing to say.
43:54Why are you guys pointing at each other?
43:55No, I just, KD just needs to know that, you know, in week six, they've got to take care
43:59of this business.
44:00By the way, we can probably lose that game to Indiana.
44:02I think Indiana's great.
44:03So, like, but you can, that'll be a great tough game.
44:06Yeah, if you've got a trip to Ohio State coming, you've got a trip to Indiana.
44:09I think you've got Oregon coming in.
44:10Like, you've got some losable games.
44:11We're going to Michigan.
44:12Yeah, fair enough.
44:14All right, Dan, who's your contender or pretender?
44:15I'm not, I know everyone's been burying him, including Dave.
44:20Ohio State's going to be fine.
44:21They were the better team.
44:23A lot of things had to happen for Texas to win that game.
44:26Do they need a kicker?
44:27Probably.
44:28Does Ryan Day have to be maybe a little bit better in these end-of-game situations?
44:32But Ohio State's lost three out of four, which is nuts to say, because you never think
44:36of Ohio State losing three out of four.
44:37But they'll be there at the end.
44:38And I wasn't, I didn't walk away from that game being like, oh, man, they got their ass kicked.
44:42It really was just, like, a little bit of execution.
44:46And a lot of weird things had to happen, like, you know, for Texas to win that game.
44:52Some fourth downs.
44:52Three out of four is insane.
44:54Their only win is against Ball State.
44:57Yeah.
44:57So if you've got to schedule, like, the worst team in the MAAC to get your Ws, so be it.
45:02Yeah, no, that was it.
45:04Brandon was checking.
45:05Indiana, Miami.
45:06Yeah.
45:06And then.
45:07Yeah.
45:07All right, real contender or pretender, Brandon?
45:09So, I know I took this team earlier, but I'm just, I got them on pretender watch.
45:14And I want to see Friday night if they prove to be a contender or pretender, because through
45:17two weeks, Texas Tech kind of looks like they could be a pretender.
45:20I believe in the coach.
45:21I believe in the roster.
45:22So, hopefully, they come out of it.
45:24But they spent all offseason trying, they had Will Hammond coming back quarterback.
45:28They spent all offseason trying to tear down the foundations of college football so they
45:32could get another quarterback.
45:33And then they added Thomas Castellanos from Florida State, who's not very good, three weeks before
45:38the season.
45:38We should have seen then that maybe they think they don't have a great team.
45:41So, Texas Tech is on big-time pretender watch.
45:44That was a lot of drama in the offseason for a quarterback that had never played for them.
45:47Correct.
45:47Yeah.
45:48A lot of drama.
45:48Big-time pretender watch.
45:49Sorsby?
45:50Yep.
45:52Sucks.
45:53He felt that, like that.
45:54He's not dead.
45:55I know, but.
45:56Yeah.
45:56He lost his opportunity, man.
45:58That's my guy.
45:59He was, like, down bad about that.
46:01That was from the heart.
46:01Yeah, my best friend at IU.
46:03Yeah.
46:03I'm sorry.
46:04Sorry.
46:04Brandon, I know you've been catching a ton of heat for your Oregon pick.
46:08I also took Oregon to win the national championship, which I don't know what that says about me.
46:11But I do not understand what is going on with Oregon.
46:15Dan Lanning brought everything back.
46:16We talked about Dante Moore could potentially be the first overall pick over Fernando Mendoza,
46:20which would never have happened.
46:21I don't know what this offense is doing.
46:23I don't know what the hell they're doing.
46:24And to lose to Oklahoma State, who lost to Tulsa the way that they did.
46:27And, I mean, obviously the season's not completely over for them, but it's pretty close.
46:32And, I mean, K-Dick, I know you've seen Oregon up close.
46:34You know.
46:34I do not get how this team can look this bad.
46:37They lost both their coordinators.
46:38They, they, they, I took Oregon as a pretender as well, in case he took it from me, but.
46:43Well, I had it first.
46:45Yeah, true.
46:45But I just think they look like shit.
46:47Dan Lanning pisses down his leg.
46:51It doesn't make sense to me.
46:52No, it doesn't either.
46:52It makes sense.
46:53They lost to both their coordinators.
46:54Will Stein is a really good coordinator.
46:56Yes, but they have all the talent in the world.
46:58They have everything.
46:58Yes.
46:59And they just can't put it together.
47:00They can't execute.
47:01And, obviously, losing your coordinators is, is huge.
47:03But they're not losing to, like, Ohio State or the, like, they lost to Oklahoma State,
47:07who had no business being in that game on paper going into it.
47:10They went out and got a huge haul in the transfer portal.
47:12They have one of the best coaches, I thought, in the country.
47:15And they look like absolute shit.
47:16It's crazy to me.
47:17Yeah.
47:17All right, K-Dick, who are you taking?
47:19I'm having, I have BYU as my contender.
47:22I think they play in a very weak conference.
47:26But I love watching Bear Bachmeier play.
47:28He's a very exciting player.
47:29And they have a great rushing attack with L.J. Martin.
47:32I just think they're, you know, they have what it takes to win in that conference
47:35and make a long run.
47:37All right, let's go to the top ten presented by Las Vegas.
47:39The road to Vegas is officially underway as the College Football National Championship
47:42comes to Vegas for the very first time.
47:44But you don't have to wait for the title game to get in on the action.
47:47Vegas is the ultimate place to catch every matchup all season long.
47:50So grab your crew, post up for the weekend, and watch your team in a city built for the moment.
47:54Head over to visitlasvegas.com to start planning for your trip.
47:58So until the college football playoff rankings come out, we will be doing the AP.
48:01So the AP is behind me, so pretty self-explanatory.
48:05And, Brandon, I know you had a big gripe with the AP this week, didn't you?
48:08Yeah, I have several gripes.
48:10You know, I don't think they dropped Oregon enough.
48:12They didn't drop, they've still got Michigan in there, even though they're 1-1.
48:15And they don't have Mississippi State in the AP top 25.
48:17They're like 29th, so it's ridiculous.
48:19What do we got to do?
48:20We beat a Big Ten team by 25 points.
48:22Well, the AP, you know, a lot of them don't watch games.
48:24They don't watch games.
48:25So we do a consensus.
48:30Yep.
48:30Top 10.
48:30I haven't even seen what it is yet, so let's roll it and see what we all voted.
48:33So Texas, Indiana, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, LSU, Ohio State dropped all the way to 7.
48:38Ole Miss, Michigan, and A&M.
48:41Michigan at 9, huh?
48:42Well, I assume they put them at 1.
48:44Somebody put them at 1, yeah.
48:45I did not put them at 1.
48:47What did you put them at?
48:493.
48:49Okay.
48:50I didn't have Michigan on the line.
48:51I did not.
48:52I have Indiana as 1.
48:53I still maintain that I think you should be number 1 until someone meets you.
48:56That is the biggest little bullshit.
48:58I agree with that.
48:59Like, can you imagine if Ohio State or Georgia won a national championship if they opened at 6?
49:04Yeah.
49:04That makes no fucking sense.
49:06But on the flip side, I agree with that, and I have kind of mixed logic.
49:09I think the rankings should be based on, like, who has the best wins.
49:13That's where I came with Michigan.
49:14I think Michigan, Texas, I did 2 because that's obviously a huge win against Ohio State.
49:20Indiana, I gave them defending national champions.
49:22Haven't done anything wrong.
49:23But who has a better win than Michigan besides Texas?
49:27So, wait, you had Michigan at 3?
49:29Yeah.
49:30Okay.
49:31Brandon, do you have a...
49:32Can I repeat that?
49:33Besides Texas, who has a better win this season than Michigan?
49:37Brandon, would you like to...
49:39On paper, he's right.
49:40I mean, that's a great win.
49:41The only problem is the other win they have, which isn't a natural win.
49:44So, then, I don't know how you don't have Michigan.
49:47Who has the worst win of the season?
49:49Michigan.
49:50He has a win that's not a win.
49:52That's true.
49:52That's true, Dave.
49:53You have the best and worst win.
49:55Yeah, that's fine.
49:56We have the best and best.
49:58If you're a fan, you've had two unbelievable Saturdays.
50:00No, but you do have the best and worst win.
50:02For anything in the world.
50:03But the rankings, you don't penalize for wins.
50:05You credit for great wins.
50:07Like, Oregon didn't get knocked down, really, when they struggled with Boise.
50:11You have the best and worst.
50:13Do you think at the end of the season, like, that we'll still be talking about the clock stuff?
50:17Yeah.
50:17Like, I know we will.
50:19I'm talking about, like, the overall.
50:21We will.
50:22No, no, no, Michigan's going to go 10-2, and they're going to be in a playoff conversation
50:26against a 9-3 SEC team or 9-3 somebody else, and they're going to have to have the discussion.
50:31Should they be credited for a 10-2 team?
50:33That's what's happening in November.
50:34They're going to be in a playoff discussion, and we have to talk about the Western Michigan game.
50:37It's not even a discussion.
50:38I mean, why even play the games if you're not going to accept the results?
50:41Well, we do have the results.
50:43When the clock hits zeroes, Western Michigan won the football game.
50:46Yeah, this is, this is.
50:48He is going to be, Brandon Walker is going to be in one of those insane asylums, you
50:52know, in, like, movies where all the old people and their feet are in a mush, and, like,
50:56they don't know where they are?
50:57How many movies are about old people and mush?
50:59He's just going to be Michigan.
51:01How many fucking movies are you talking about?
51:04He, you're just, he thinks you're going to be old with Alzheimer's.
51:06All the movies are about old people and mush.
51:08Yeah, the mush movies.
51:09They're eating, like, cold oatmeal.
51:11You're going to be eating cold oatmeal thinking about Michigan.
51:13Tom, you watched a movie about old people eating mush.
51:16Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
51:17That's not mush.
51:18That's delicious chocolate.
51:19No, they were actually eating mush.
51:21They're eating mush.
51:22That movie came out in 1971.
51:24Before he got the golden ticket, their grandparents were in that big-ass bed eating mush.
51:28That movie came out 54 years ago.
51:30You asked a question.
51:31There's at least.
51:31What a cold kid there.
51:33There's at least 10 movies where you're in an insane asylum.
51:37Name them.
51:37The doctors are feeding old people.
51:39I don't have a tough fight.
51:40Shutter Island.
51:41Shutter Island.
51:42Shutter Island.
51:42Shutter Island.
51:44That's one.
51:44Shawshank.
51:45No, that's a prison.
51:47What?
51:48Same thing.
51:48What about Bob?
51:49I know there's one with Ben Stiller doing it.
51:52No.
51:53He's so harassing me.
51:54He goes, but at the end he goes.
51:55Don't harass me.
51:56I'm a local.
51:57Yeah.
51:57That is a great-
51:57I don't think he eats mush in that, too.
51:59All-time movie, by the way.
52:00All right.
52:00Great show.
52:01We'll see you guys next week.
52:04Bye.
52:04Bye.
52:05Bye.
52:05Bye.
52:06Bye.
52:07Bye.
52:09Bye.
52:13Bye.
52:14Bye.
52:14Bye.
52:15Bye.
52:16Bye.
52:16Bye.
