00:00How do you forget to do all this slides?
00:01He's the primary receiver.
00:03I don't have to have a slide.
00:05You've got to have the details, man.
00:07Welcome to the Gruden Family Football Show presented by the Chevy Silverado.
00:11I am Casey Smith sitting between the Gruden brothers, John and Jay Gruden.
00:15Guys, I have to tell you, this is so exciting because I know I'm an honorary family member,
00:18but a new show coach.
00:20You've been sitting with us for a couple seasons now.
00:21Now you've got your brother with you.
00:23It's going to be tough.
00:24I'm glad you're in the middle.
00:25You're our quarterback.
00:26Let's put it that way.
00:27Jay, welcome.
00:28Thank you very much.
00:28It's a pleasure and honor, as always, to be with you and my brother.
00:31I'm going to be the honorary family member, and I got an up-close look at your dynamic
00:35with each other because we shot the Chevy commercial this morning.
00:38And I've got to say, I love the bickering.
00:39And I have a sister who's three years younger than me, so I get it.
00:42But I guess it's just never going to stop, right?
00:44I love the Chevy Silverado jacket, man.
00:47I mean, that Silverado, you've got to admit, that was a hell of a truck.
00:50You've got to admit, if I would have drove in a car like you did, you would have been all
00:53over me.
00:54You hit the curb 14 times.
00:55I was a little excited.
00:5614 times you hit the curb.
00:57We were laughing so hard at one point.
00:59I was like, this season is going to be amazing because he was giving you a hard time.
01:02But we have our uniforms coach.
01:04We're ready.
01:04We're going to look professional this year.
01:06So opening week of the NFL, we're going to talk about all the games, of course, get into
01:10all the X's and O's.
01:12You guys are going to go to the grease board.
01:13But opening week for coaches, what does that look like?
01:16You know, I made a list.
01:17I was a basket case.
01:18And I'm worried, really, because I don't know what's coming out of the tunnel.
01:22You think you know as the head coach, but none of these guys have ever played together.
01:26Practices are modified, so you really don't know what kind of team you have.
01:30Nobody's made a full-speed tackle.
01:32The ball security, I mean, you've got to take care of the ball.
01:35No one's been tackled.
01:36Pad level's always too high.
01:38The conditioning is always a big question.
01:40There's always some unscouted looks.
01:42The team you're playing, they didn't show anything in the preseason.
01:46Pass protection.
01:47The running backs now got to pick these guys up live.
01:50The stunt pickups got to be live.
01:52And then special teams.
01:53Somebody comes off, the guy forgets to go in for the R2 on the kickoff team.
01:58And then sideline halftime adjustments.
02:00There's always a new iPad, and everybody's overlooking the iPads.
02:04And then the referees, they tick me off.
02:06They always have these points of emphasis, and they're going to call needless penalties,
02:09and it drives me crazy.
02:11But that's just part of it.
02:12What about the communication?
02:13Sometimes a headset goes out, your headset's out.
02:15You can't even talk to the quarterback.
02:17You're trying to signal a play, and it's a nightmare.
02:18Then you see the owner walking across the field looking at you like, you idiot.
02:23You just never know what's going to go wrong.
02:25I mean, we saw in college football last week there was a power outage for the entire stadium.
02:28It's everybody's first week.
02:30It's our first week.
02:31But from a coaching standpoint, the nerves probably building up to kickoff.
02:35It's a lot, but then once kickoff happens, it's ready to go.
02:37Yeah, there's still a lot of things going on, especially as first-year head coach.
02:41You know what I mean?
02:41You're used to just focusing in on the offense.
02:43Okay, I got my game plan.
02:44I got my adjustments.
02:45Now all of a sudden, I got to worry about the defense of special teams and worry about
02:48the challenge flag and all that stuff.
02:49So for all the new coaches out there, they're in for a treat.
02:52You know what I mean?
02:52The veteran coaches know what's going on, but the new head coaches that are offensive-minded
02:56guys and defensive-minded, they're in for a rude awakening.
02:58And then the trainer comes up to you and says, hey, Bobby's out of the game.
03:01And then Joey's out of the game, and then you punch the trainer and everybody's mad
03:04at each other.
03:05It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
03:07It's finally here.
03:08We're going to talk about the new head coaches in just a little bit, because there's a lot
03:10to get to with that.
03:11But let's just get into the best games of the week.

03:42Keep football at your fingertips.
03:43All season long, the crown is yours.
03:45All right, John, I will start with you.
03:46We're going to start with the Bills at the Texans.
03:48We have seen Josh Allen really struggle against the Texans.
03:52He's 0-4 in Houston, including the playoffs.
03:54And he always really struggles against this team.
03:57What can you expect this season?
03:58Yeah, I get Josh, Josh, Josh.
04:01Josh keeps struggling.
04:02Nine for 30 two years ago, eight sacks last year.
04:06Well, so did his offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, who happens to be the head coach now.
04:10So they've had a whole offseason, Jay, to get this game plan right and go to Houston and
04:15solve it.
04:16But I'll be honest, I'm sick of Buffalo always relying on the same guy.
04:20They lost to Denver.
04:22They scored 30 points.
04:23They still, Josh Allen turned it over.
04:25I want to see their defense step up.
04:28That's why they haven't gotten to the Super Bowl.
04:30That's why they haven't won a Super Bowl.
04:31The defense.
04:33This Brandon Bean, the general manager.
04:35I want to see Bradley Chubb.
04:37I want to see Rousseau, a healthy Ed Oliver.
04:40They drafted T.J. Parker.
04:42They got all these second-year players.
04:44Maxwell Hairston at corner.
04:46They got this big defensive tackle, Walker, from Kentucky.
04:49Where the hell's T.J. Sanders?
04:51Last I checked, C.J.
04:53Stroud and this Houston Texan offensive line, they're not Hall of Famers now.
04:58I want to see Buffalo win a game with their defense.
05:02Go and win 16-13.
05:04But quit putting it all on Josh Allen every single week.
05:08I agree.
05:08However, I want to put a lot on Josh Allen because he's damn good.
05:12I love this guy.
05:13He is.
05:13But I do want to take some pressure off of them.
05:15They have their offensive line returning.
05:16They got Kinkade and Knox returning.
05:18They got James, let them cook, cook.
05:20I mean, we got to let them cook, right?
05:22That takes a lot of pressure off Josh, and it takes a lot of pressure off the defense.
05:26So, now adding D.J. more with his ability to run after the catch and make plays down the field,
05:31I think will help out the offense, which in turn will help out the defense.
05:34So, I expect Buffalo to have a damn good year.
05:37Let them cook.
05:38Cook.
05:38That's really good.
05:39James, let them cook.
05:40What do you thought of that?
05:40Your nephew?
05:41I love it.
05:42Let them cook.
05:42Let them cook.
05:43Okay, and quickly, though, from the Texans' standpoint, C.J. Stroud,
05:46Jay, what do you expect to see from them, especially early in the season?
05:48You know what?
05:49I'm fired up for C.J.
05:50C.J.'s taken a lot of beatings lately.
05:52He didn't play very good against the Patriots in the playoffs,
05:54and he probably deserves a little scrutiny.
05:56But I think over offseason, when you're listening to all the media,
05:59hey, you're not good enough, we're not going to re-sign you, this and that,
06:02I think he's going to take it to heart.
06:03I think he's a competitive guy.
06:04I think he's going to have a good year and really try to silence the naysayers.
06:09That's the most important thing.
06:10I think he's tough enough mentally where he can do that.
06:12He has struggled the last couple years.
06:13His rookie year, I thought he was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
06:16But the last couple years, you don't even know if he's a starter.
06:19But I think he's going to recover this year.
06:20Get the ball to Nico Collins, that'll help out a lot.
06:23They add David Montgomery, Knuckles, right?
06:26Knuckles, that'll help him out a lot as well.
06:27So I look for C.J. to have a bounce back.
06:30All right, John, who wins the game?
06:31I'm thinking Buffalo.
06:32They're going to win an ugly game, and they're going to win 16-13.
06:36I'm thinking the Bills.
06:38You know, I played in Houston in the playoffs one year when I was with the Bengals,
06:41and it was so loud, we had to go silent count in pregame warm-up.
06:44It's going to be loud in Houston, man.
06:46I'm taking Houston.
06:47I am.
06:47I think Montgomery has a couple touchdowns, and Nick Nico will have a couple big plays,
06:51and they'll get after Anderson.
06:53I mean, these guys can rush the passer, man.
06:54They've done it every time against Buffalo.
06:56Why would it change?
06:57I'm taking Houston.
06:58All right, let's go to Sunday night football.
06:59The Cowboys at the Giants.
07:01Jay, the John Harbaugh era starts in New York.
07:03A lot of excitement with Jackson Dart.
07:05Dallas, every single year.
07:07Dak Prescott.
07:08Can they get over that hump in the playoffs?
07:09It's his 11th season in Dallas.
07:11We know how good he is in the regular season, 2-5 in the playoffs.
07:15Is this the year they can get over the hump?
07:16I think it is.
07:17They're pretty dang good, man.
07:18They added some defensive firepower now, and it's not just slappies.
07:21They added some really good players on defense that go along with one of the best offenses
07:25in the National Football League.
07:27And Dak, we know he has struggled in the playoffs, but he's put up some numbers in the regular
07:30season.
07:30It's eye-popping, right?
07:32He's got George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb.
07:34He's got Jake Ferguson.
07:35He's got Javante Williams, a good back.
07:37He's got all the weapons.
07:38They lose their offensive guard for a little while, but for the most part, their offensive
07:42line's intact.
07:43So I expect the Cowboys to be a really force in the NFC to go along with the Rams and
07:48some
07:48of the teams we've been talking about.
07:49The Giants, I think, are just really young.
07:51Harbaugh's got a new team.
07:52They've got too many young players.
07:53They've got guys in and out of the concussion tent.
07:55They've got Malik Nabors coming back from an injury.
07:58They've got Scadaboo coming back from an injury.
08:00So I think it's going to take them time, because they're so young, for them to get better.
08:04I think they'll get better as the season goes on, but early on in the season, I think the
08:06Cowboys just rip them.
08:08Coach?
08:08I get excited.
08:10Cowboys, Giants.
08:11I mean, this is NFC East old school stuff, but these are the two worst defenses I've ever
08:17seen last year.
08:18I mean, they were awful.
08:19And both teams have gone out of their way to address the defense.
08:22Christian Parker is a big name in Dallas.
08:24He's the new defensive coordinator.
08:26He comes from Philadelphia.
08:28He's going to bring that Vic Fangio stuff.
08:30Yeah, they added some firepower on defense.
08:32They get Rashawn Gary.
08:34They get Malachi Lawrence from Central Florida in the first round, but overshown at linebacker.
08:40He will be the comeback player of the year.
08:41He's going to wear the green dot.
08:43And I love Caleb Downs from Ohio State, Jalen Thompson.
08:47This Christian Parker, he's got to stir this drink and really get this defense to match the
08:54intensity of their offense.
08:55I'm a cowboy guy.
08:57How about them cowboys?
08:59I will say, when we were doing rehearsal, you mentioned that the Cowboys are one of your
09:02teams here.
09:03I said, every year somebody picks the Cowboys, but this year they actually have the things
09:07to back it up.
09:07And Dak has it there.
09:09We know that.
09:10Now can they put it together in the playoff?
09:12But they've just got to beat the Giants week one.
09:13They're going to put it together.
09:15I mean, Deontay Banks is starting at corner for the Giants.
09:17I mean, George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb are going to have a fist fight to see who can go
09:21over there and run routes against them.
09:23Prescott, if he stays healthy, this is a playoff team.
09:26This is a team that can go all the way, and don't forget, they got the best kicker, I
09:29think, in football.
09:31When you look at the Giants quickly with Harbaugh there now, and knowing how excited New York
09:35is to have Jackson Dart, to have these young guys, can you expect Harbaugh to immediately
09:40have an impact that the Giants fans are looking for?
09:42No, I can't at all.
09:43I really don't.
09:44I think the Giants are going to struggle early, like I said.
09:46I think if they stay healthy, if they keep Jackson Dart out of the damn tent, then they
09:50have a chance to get better as the season goes on.
09:52But I think early on, personnel-wise, they're not quite ready.
09:55They're not there yet.
09:55I don't think they can match up personnel-wise against the Cowboys and the Eagles and some
09:59of these teams.
09:59So I think it's safe to say both of you guys are taking the Dallas Cowboys?
10:02I'm with the Cowboys.
10:03I'm with them.
10:04All right.
10:04Love the Gruden brothers handshaking there.
10:06Let's go to Monday Night Football, the Broncos at the Chiefs.
10:09Of course, the big storyline coming into this season, John Patrick Mahomes.
10:13He is expected to make his return.
10:15Andy Reid said, most likely to play, barring some sort of setback after his torn ACL.
10:19We saw what Denver was able to do last year, but Patrick Mahomes coming back, and all the
10:23disappointment that last season looked like, what do we expect from them this week?
10:27This is going to be an emotional night.
10:29I mean, how crazy these Chiefs fans are.
10:31When they see Mahomes come out of that tunnel, there'll be people crying.
10:34It's going to be an emotional night.
10:36They hate the Broncos.
10:37Remember, Kansas City had nine straight AFC West championships until Sean Payton and Denver
10:42took it to them last year.
10:44But I worry about the Chiefs, man.
10:46Josh Simmons, the left tackle, doesn't play at Ohio State.
10:50He gets drafted in the first round anyhow.
10:52He misses half the season.
10:53Last year, he's hurt again.
10:54Who is the left tackle for Kansas City?
10:57I know they got Kenneth Walker, Eric Bien-Ami's back calling the plays, but they have issues
11:02at offensive tackle.
11:04And last I checked, the Denver Broncos, they show up with a case of whoop-ass on defense,
11:10man.
11:11They can light you up.
11:12And I'm excited to see Davis Webb call the plays.
11:16You gave up the play calling in Washington to Sean McVay.
11:20McVay, Sean Payton just gave up the play calling to Davis Webb.
11:24I'm anxious to see how that dynamic works.
11:28Why did you ever give me the play calling?
11:30I ain't delegating nothing, man.
11:32My ass is already on the line.
11:33I'm not delegating the play calling, but I do like Denver a lot in this game.
11:38Jay?
11:39Benito versus Khalil Benson, rookie, Indiana, left tackle.
11:44That's going to be a tough matchup.
11:45I mean, Denver already had 68 sacks last year.
11:47Now you're going to say, okay, Patrick, you're coming back from your knee injury.
11:50You got Khalil back, left tackle.
11:52He's a rookie, and you're going against the Denver Broncos, who had 68 sacks.
11:56Yeah, and I'll say this, too.
11:58You're also getting J.K. Dobbins back.
12:00Now, J.K. Dobbins is a hell of a back when healthy.
12:02And they added Jalen Waddell, and Kansas City lost both their corners.
12:07I know Mansoor Delane is supposed to be a high pick, but you're going to meet Jalen Waddell
12:12and Cortland Sutton a lot because Sean Payton is going to go after him.
12:15I know that.
12:16The most impressive thing I read was Denver has 51 of the 53 players last year returned
12:22on the roster, and they had Jalen Waddell.
12:24So that's one bullet in their gun that they're just going to shoot you in the face with,
12:28right?
12:28Jalen Waddell.
12:29I mean, it's unbelievable.
12:30So Denver, as good as they were last year, they didn't play the playoff game with Bo
12:34Nix.
12:34Now they've got Bo Nix another year with Sean Payton.
12:36I think Denver is really one of the teams that beat in AFC, right?
12:40They've got to be.
12:40Yep, they have to be.
12:41And when you look at last year, they won 11 one-score games, which tied the NFL record.
12:45So they played in a lot of really close games, a lot of pressure.
12:48So going into week one, they might feel the opening season pressure, but they are used to
12:52playing with Bo Nix under that type of pressure, right, Coach?
12:54That's called grit.
12:56Grit.
12:56They've got a lot of grit and grinders.
12:58I love the Broncos in this game and this season.
13:00So you really think people are going to cry when they see Patrick Mahomes?
13:03You think?
13:03I will.
13:04You think Travis Kelsey will cry?
13:06Denver's going to go to Arrowhead and beat them, huh?
13:07Yeah.
13:08I think Denver's going to win at cover.
13:10They're going to win by, I think Denver's going to win by 10 points in this game.
13:13Oh, wow.
13:13All right, Jay, who are you taking?
13:15I'm taking Denver to win as well.
13:16I think the continuity you have with the veterans, John mentioned earlier about running out of the
13:20tunnel, you're not sure about this guy, this guy.
13:22Payton knows what he's got.
13:23He's been with all these guys before, so he feels very confident these veteran guys will lead the
13:27way out of Monday night, big game.
13:29All right, we're going to continue to pick the games, but first, very exciting segment that
13:33we're going to get to every single week because we know that John Gruden and Jay Gruden love
13:37to draw plays.
13:38If you know anything about the Gruden brothers, they are going to draw a play out for you.
13:42And we have the Gruden Grease Sport this year.
13:44So exciting.
13:45Presented by Chevy.
13:46The Gruden Family Football Show is presented by the next generation's Chevy Silverado.
13:50It's the most powerful and advanced Silverado ever, combining serious capability, advanced
13:55technology, a bold commanding design, and the kind of confidence you want when the pressure
13:59is on.
13:59Visit Chevy.com to learn why the next generation's Silverado is leading the league.
14:05All right, John's first grease board game of the year.
14:08Coach, the Buccaneers at the Bengals.
14:10I know you're very excited to talk about Jamar Chase.
14:12We have a healthy Joe Burrow coming back.
14:14What do you expect to see in this game?
14:16You know I love my Buccaneers.
14:17And I'm telling you right out, let's shoot here, I'm taking Tampa Bay.
14:21But I am worried about Jamar Chase.
14:23The guy's a great player.
14:24We studied all of his routes.
14:26A lot of times, Jamar Chase gets doubled.
14:29They play inside technique with the corner, and they got safety help over the top.
14:33And one of their favorite routes in Cincinnati is a sail route.
14:38They have speed to clear it out, then they throw a corner route with a guy in the flat.
14:42But when it's a split safety look, our guy on the backside, Chase, usually runs a 12- to 14
14:50-yard basic cross.
14:51And that's where Burrow goes a lot of the time against cover, too.
14:55But against Detroit, against Miami, what did Jamar Chase do to that safety twice, Jay?
15:02He sold the inside cut and took it to the freaking house, man, for 60-yard gains.
15:08So, Jamar Chase, he can hurt you with double moves.
15:13But I don't think Joe Burrow is going to have a chance to drop back against Reuben Bain over here
15:19against Orlando Brown.
15:21We got Kalaisa Kansi back, man.
15:23He's going to give us an inside rush.
15:25We just re-signed Dita Vea.
15:27He's back.
15:28And we got Yaya Diaby over there.
15:31We are going to get after Burrow's ass with a really good four-man rush.
15:35Josh, we do have the biggest tackles in America with Mims and Oat Brown, right?
15:40They're 6'8", 360 pounds, for God's sakes.
15:42We're going to help Chip a little bit, try to help.
15:45But if we can't, then we got to work some quicker elements, right?
15:48There's nothing better than putting Jamar Chase in the boundary, lining up in a bunch set over here.
15:52If we get off coverage, you know what Joe Burrow does?
15:55He just gives a little hand signal like this.
15:58And Jamar's just going to take a little bubble step, and he's going to put it right on him.
16:01So he's going to catch the ball.
16:02He's going to square up the defender.
16:03And it's going to be Jacob Parrish, one-on-one, buddy.
16:06Come tackle me.
16:07And Jamar Chase is as good as anybody with the ball in his hands, bar none.
16:11So this could be a gain of five, maybe a gain of 25 down the sideline.
16:15A little bump and run, what happens?
16:16Bump and run.
16:17He'll give another hand signal, a little.
16:19And it's a one-step slant.
16:20We call it a bullet round.
16:21One step.
16:22Boom.
16:22He's going to stick his foot in the ground.
16:24Bang.
16:24Joe's going to catch, stick his foot in the ground, and drive it right there.
16:27And that, when he gets the ball in the middle of the field, man, getting up the field, Jamar
16:31Chase with his pads going forward is a nightmare attack.
16:34Oh, you're scaring me.
16:34What if we take this guy and slide him out there?
16:36Well, then we're going to call super spacing.
16:38Spacing is a three-man concept.
16:40But when we call super spacing, we have a four-man concept.
16:43So we have an over the ball.
16:44We have a wide departure hook, eight to ten yards.
16:46We have a wide route, which he's going to be under control.
16:50So we go, oh, no, we can't throw that.
16:52Let's go over the ball.
16:53Oh, God, that's matched up.
16:54Let's go to T. Higgins right here.
16:55No, now let's kick it out to Chase Brown right here with a lead blocker, with our tight
16:59end lead blocking.
17:00And he's going to block MDM, either a corner, maybe it's a linebacker, maybe it's a nickel.
17:04You're scaring me.
17:05And Chase Brown, I'll kid it, Chase Brown, not Chase, not Jamar Chase, but Chase Brown.
17:10Let me tell you this, so Baker Mayfield just got re-signed.
17:13Yes, he did.
17:14Okay, he's 3-0 against Joe Burrow, 3-0.
17:17And the Bengals on defense, let me tell you, Jay, they missed 170 tackles last year.
17:23And Bucky Irving's back, they're going to miss 170 more on Sunday.
17:27Then the Bengals sign another guy.
17:28Buccaneers in a high-scoring game.
17:30Then the Bengals sign a guy, who's that guy?
17:31Sexy Dexy?
17:32Dexter Lawrence, yeah.
17:33The Giants have Ray Rundy.
17:35Dexy Dexy.
17:36I like that.
17:36Okay, but Coach, I have a question now.
17:37I feel like I weigh as much as Dexy.
17:39Yeah, you are.
17:39And you can dance better than him, too.
17:41You can't even button that season.
17:42So, I know it's a new season, but are you at all concerned about the way the Bucs finished
17:45the end of last season?
17:46Because they did drop, not at all.
17:47Our whole team was hurt.
17:48Okay, just making sure.
17:48We got everybody back.
17:50We got a lot of new players.
17:51Josiah Trotter, Keontae Scott, Reuben Bean.
17:55He's terrifying.
17:56Welcome to the National Football League Sunday.
17:59Yes.
17:59You got no corners.
18:00You taking the Bengals or the Bucs?
18:02I'm taking the Bengals, man.
18:03I got healthy.
18:03You were the offensive coordinator there.
18:05You just go to the Montgomery Inn and eat chicken.
18:07The Bengals have notoriously started bad.
18:09They're making a big deal about it.
18:11Mike Brown, the owners come in here.
18:12We got to start fast this year.
18:13When Mike Brown talks, everybody listens.
18:16They're going to start fast.
18:17The Bengals are going to get after them.
18:18So, we're going against each other.
18:20First grease board of the season.
18:21You guys are going against each other.
18:22I love the grease board.
18:23Who they think going to beat them Bengals?
18:27All right, let's get to the second game of the Gruden grease board.
18:30We're talking Bears at Panthers.
18:32And, Coach, we've got Caleb Williams, Bryce Young, two teams that won their divisions last year.
18:36A lot of talk about what this Bears offense is going to look like in 2026.
18:39Yeah, the coolest thing I saw in the offseason, all I do is sit in there and watch these tapes.
18:44The coolest thing I saw was the Chicago Bears running game.
18:47Honest to God.
18:48They run right 66% of the time.
18:53They run right because it's Darnell freaking right, man, number 58.
18:58And they get into these condensed formations.
19:01And one of the things they like to do is run what I call 98 Wanda.
19:06It's an outside zone to the right.
19:08Even numbers are right.
19:09Odd numbers are left.
19:10But they run 98 Wanda to the weak side away from the tight end.
19:16Everybody runs this play.
19:17But on the snap of the ball, they have a formula that is really cool.
19:22I call it SBT.
19:25On the snap of the ball, they'll take Kalief Raymond.
19:27And they will slide him at warp speed across the formation.
19:32And it causes the backside linebacker to go, whoo-hoo, I better freeze.
19:36And it also creates some indecision here.
19:39Sometimes a nickel corner will run across and man coverage and cover it.
19:44So that's the S part of it.
19:45They slide a man across with speed.
19:49And then the B part of it is they take Roma Dunze, who's a great blocker, and he creates what
19:55I call a bluff.
19:56He goes down there and acts like he's cracking that defensive end.
19:59And the defensive end is like, whoo, I've got to protect myself and set the edge here.
20:04And guess what Darnell Wright does?
20:05He mulls that guy, man.
20:08And here comes Jonah Jackson in the center.
20:10They push it up to that linebacker.
20:12So they've got a slide.
20:13They've got a bluff.
20:14Ask me what the T is.
20:16They trace the backside.
20:18They get Colston Loveland.
20:19He goes in here and traces that linebacker who says, holy cow, they're running to the right.
20:25And they hand the ball to DeAndre Swift.
20:27If Monunga's not playing.
20:29But they're going to run 76% of the time to the right against Carolina because they don't have Nick
20:36Scorton.
20:36They don't have Wharton.
20:38And Devin Lloyd and Okereke, these linebackers, they're going to wish they didn't sign with Carolina after this game.
20:44I love the passion here, by the way.
20:45The window dressing is very important because if there was no window dressing now and we asked our tight end
20:51to insert here and block this backer and he was handed off an outside zone, it's a loss of work.
20:55Well, there is a slide.
20:56That's why I said it, Jake.
20:57Window dressing.
20:58Yes.
20:58I just make it sure.
20:59Because Colston Loveland blocking that Okereke.
21:01Come on, man.
21:02But with the window dressing, that makes it all possible.
21:05And then what Ben Johnson does is what?
21:06Boone legs.
21:07Using plays that look the same that are different.
21:09Same type of formation.
21:11We'll run the outside zone and boot it to the left.
21:14Not many quarterbacks like to boot it to the left other than Caleb Williams because he can throw from all
21:19kinds of platforms, man.
21:20Boone to the left.
21:21We're going to hit a late down flat.
21:22Boom.
21:23Bang.
21:23We're going to send Luther Byrd to the high corner.
21:25We're sending Roan Beduze to the low cross.
21:27And we're getting outside the pocket for a freebie.
21:30With the slide.
21:32He's on the late down flat.
21:33He's the slide.
21:34Well, draw it.
21:35I forgot.
21:36We got the picture.
21:37I'm a rookie, man.
21:38I haven't drawn a play in like four years.
21:39Hey, it's week one.
21:40You know, we're getting it together.
21:42Kalief Raymond in the flat.
21:43We got the late down flat.
21:44We got the high corner.
21:45We got Roan Beduze on the low flat.
21:47So are you taking the Bears for the game?
21:49I'm taking the Bears.
21:50I know it's a rematch of two Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks.
21:55Carolina's missing both starting offensive tackles.
21:58I think they're in trouble.
21:59I think the Bears, even though their secondary is beat up, they're going up against a Carolina offense that just
22:05can't move the ball consistently.
22:07They're in the low 20s on every offensive statistic, and they can't score touchdowns in the red zone.
22:1327th in scoring, the Panthers.
22:14That was with tackles.
22:15Now they don't have any tackles.
22:17And the Bears are, I think, number one in the league in turnover margins.
22:20So the Bears are opportunistic on defense.
22:22They're very good.
22:23Montez Sweat is a good pass rusher.
22:25Gets his hand on balls.
22:26But Caleb Williams is starting to merge as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
22:29His arm talent is phenomenal.
22:30Luther Byrne is going to merge as a quality receiver.
22:32I like the addition of Kalief Raymond because he's a jack of all trades.
22:36He'll do the reverses, the arounds, the jet sweeps.
22:38They'll get him the ball in space.
22:40But, you know, just a better team.
22:42They're a better team all around.
22:43This, by the way, is like my favorite thing we've ever done.
22:46This is phenomenal.
22:46Did you see what James Cook did to Carolina last year?
22:49I mean, that's what DeAndre Swift is going to do to Carolina.
22:53If you're sitting at home, take the over on DeAndre Swift.
22:56My non-guy's not playing.
22:57I'm going to hand the ball to Swift 30 times in this game.
23:00Gruden's grease board, I feel like, is going to be very popular with the fans.
23:02They're going right because of who?
23:04Darnell freaking right.
23:05I can't believe I forgot to slide.
23:07Yeah.
23:08You should slide your ass out of here.
23:10Week two.
23:10Who runs a bootleg without a flat route?
23:14I love this.
23:14All right, let's go to straight up football.
23:16So this is the rest of the NFL slate.
23:17We've already picked a few games.
23:19I want to make sure that the boys know we are always going to pick straight up.
23:22We're not going against the spread.
23:23And I need to know, we're going to keep track.
23:25What are you guys going to, are you guys going to have something against each other?
23:28A punishment?
23:29I need a new set of irons.
23:30I need a new set of irons.
23:31My irons are older, like five years old.
23:33I play six days a week, so I need some irons.
23:35You need a new swing too, but I'll buy you a brand new set of irons if you beat me.
23:39But if I win, since I'm kind of a, you know.
23:41Why don't we go one-on-one golf?
23:42I want a brand new suit.
23:44I want a brand new suit.
23:45You're going to be the judge.
23:46I'm not talking a cheap suit.
23:47I want a real suit.
23:48Custom fitted.
23:49Custom fitted.
23:50What size are you going to get?
23:52You'll see.
23:53It might be different today than it will be at the end of the season.
23:55You don't know.
23:56Maybe it may be eating good.
23:57Maybe it may be eating healthier.
23:58Me too.
23:59All right, let's go to the first of the games.
24:02Let's go to the Saints at the Lions.
24:03John, Detroit went 9-8 last year.
24:05They missed the playoffs.
24:06A lot of disappointed fans.
24:08But meanwhile, in New Orleans, Tyler Shuck has completely energized this team.
24:12So much momentum going into the offseason.
24:14What do you expect between these two teams?
24:16This is my upset special.
24:18I like the Saints a lot, not just because of Shuck, but I think they have a hell of an
24:23offensive line.
24:24Two first-rounders at tackle.
24:25Ruiz is a first-rounder.
24:27McCoy's a good player.
24:28And they've got David Edwards from Buffalo.
24:30They've got an excellent line.
24:31The only problem I have with the Saints is Kellen Moore's pregame speeches.
24:36They've got outscored 122-29 in the first quarter.
24:39If they can jump on Detroit and hang in there in the first quarter, I really like the Saints because
24:46I don't like the Lions' defense right now at all.
24:48Jay, what do you think?
24:49I agree.
24:50I think the whole NFC North's defenses are going to be a little bit shaky early on.
24:55I like the Saints to score a lot of points, but I like Detroit to score a lot of points
24:58as well.
24:59I like Jameer Gibbs a lot.
25:01I like the fact that they're going to pound the ball with them.
25:03And Amundra St. Brown is the most dependable receiver in the National Football League.
25:07You need five, he'll get you six.
25:08You need eight, he'll get you nine.
25:11He's Amundra St. Brown.
25:12I'm telling you what, if I was a fantasy football owner, I'd take him first.
25:15He's the best.
25:15But I love Jared Goff.
25:17I just think at Detroit, week one, you're going to tell me the Saints are going to go to Detroit
25:22and beat Jared Goff?
25:23Yeah, yeah.
25:24That's what I just said.
25:25Can you not make your pick, man?
25:26Let's go.
25:27I've got to get my new suit.
25:28Take it to Detroit.
25:29So a new suit, a new set of irons, and a new swing, right?
25:32Absolutely.
25:32Is that what you're promising him?
25:33Yes.
25:33All right, let's go.
25:34Ravens at Colts.
25:35Jay, the Jesse Minter era in Baltimore.
25:37You know, people have differing opinions on that, but when you look at Daniel Jones and you look at the
25:42season he was having last year before he got hurt,
25:44he was having the best season of his career.
25:46Do you think that that can continue?
25:47You know what?
25:48How he comes back from injury will affect different people differently.
25:51You know, we're worried about Patrick Mahomes, Daniel Jones, all these guys.
25:54Some people can handle it.
25:55Some people get a little shaky in the pocket.
25:57I think Daniel's confidence from last year is going to go a long way.
26:00I think he can handle it.
26:01I think he's going to have a great year.
26:02They have a good supporting cast with Jonathan Taylor.
26:04He doesn't have to do a whole lot.
26:05Their defense is better.
26:06They're playing at home.
26:07I mean, Baltimore was 8-9 last year.
26:09It's not like everybody thinks Baltimore is some 14-3 team.
26:11They're 8-9.
26:12I like Indianapolis in this game.
26:14Jay or John?
26:15I'm John.
26:16I know.
26:17This is real.
26:17I was actually just thinking how I normally write initials on here and how it's do the same.
26:22It's going to really mess me up.
26:23Okay, I've got blonde hair.
26:23You know, Indianapolis used to be the Baltimore Colts.
26:29I mean, they are still bad blood in this game, man.
26:32Two of the great runners, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry squaring off.
26:35But I can't wait to see Shane Steichen.
26:37I always like watching Shane Steichen's stuff.
26:40And he's going up against Jesse Minter, the great defensive genius of the Ravens.
26:45But I still think the Colts are going to throw the ball at this Ravens secondary, even though they've got
26:49all these number one picks.
26:51Kyle Hamilton, Malachi Starks.
26:54You know, they've got Nate Wiggins.
26:55They've got Marlon Humphrey.
26:56They were 30th in the league against the pass.
26:59And I don't know if Trey Hendrickson is still Trey Hendrickson.
27:02So I'm going to take the Colts because I like their offensive line.
27:06And I like Shane Steichen's creativity, especially when he's had a whole offseason to get ready for you.
27:11Beware of Josh Downs, too, man.
27:13This guy can play.
27:13He is quick.
27:14He is quick.
27:15All right.
27:15Let's talk about Browns at Jags.
27:17Another new head coach, John Todd Munkin era in Cleveland.
27:20And we see that they had a quarterback competition in fall camp.
27:24Of course, Deshaun Watson was named quarterback one.
27:26What can you expect for the Browns?
27:27I mean, we know the fans are pissed every single year.
27:29Are they a little bit happier going into this game?
27:31I am so tired of hearing about this quarterback drama in Cleveland.
27:36Slap me when they figure out who their quarterback is.
27:38It's the same old story every year.
27:40Munkin's a hell of a coach.
27:42Munkin is a hell of a coach.
27:44But Jim Schwartz, the defensive coordinator, is gone, too.
27:47So is Miles Garrett.
27:48This is a very young offensive team going up against a Jaguar team that is soaring.
27:53And their defensive coordinator doesn't get enough credit.
27:56Anthony Campanella.
27:58I mean, they gave up 18, 19 points a game last year.
28:01I really like the Jaguars in this game to cover.
28:04Deshaun Watson, the last time he won a game was at Jacksonville in 2024.
28:09But I don't have any faith in the Browns quarterback situation.
28:13I like the Jaguars to rough them up here and win their home opener.
28:16I agree.
28:17I think Jacksonville didn't have a lot of turnover either.
28:20I think a lot of their returning players.
28:21Liam Cohn's done a very, very good job.
28:23I was a little concerned about him getting the job with his lack of his resume or whatever.
28:28He's back at Kentucky.
28:28Went to the Rams, back to Kentucky.
28:30I was like, who is this guy?
28:31He's proven me wrong.
28:32He's a damn good football coach.
28:33I love Parker Washington.
28:34I like the Jaguars a lot.
28:35The Browns, you know, I was in a similar situation when I got the job at Washington with Robert
28:40Griffin III and Kirk Cousins.
28:41It's very difficult to have a quarterback controversy as your first year as a head coach.
28:45It's a nightmare.
28:46People want this guy.
28:47People want this guy.
28:48Some players want this guy.
28:49Some players want this guy.
28:50He's got to let it play out.
28:52May the best man win.
28:52He'll start with Deshaun Watson, which I can understand it.
28:55If he does poorly, they'll go right to Shadur.
28:56But he's got to let it play out.
28:58In situations like that, because from a fan's perspective, if you have a guy that you would rather see,
29:02like whether it's Shadur Sanders or not, how much leash do these guys have?
29:05Because you know fans are sitting there like, all right, we've got Shadur on the bench.
29:08How much leash do you give Deshaun Watson?
29:09That's the issue you have with the quarterbacks, too.
29:11They don't have a lot of, oh, my God, if I miss this throw, I'm going to be booed and
29:14benched.
29:14You know what I mean?
29:14So you've got to try to eventually commit to somebody soon.
29:17Hey, if you throw an interception, we're not going to bench him, man.
29:20I mean, it has an effect on the quarterbacks.
29:22I know it did on Kirk early on.
29:23I know it did on Robert.
29:24It's just not fair to them.
29:25You've got to commit to somebody and live with it.
29:28Trevor Lawrence, though, pretty damn good.
29:29Pretty good, isn't it?
29:30Getting Jacoby Myers, okay, was a big get for the Jaguars.
29:35And I'll tell you this.
29:35They got an issue, though, at running back.
29:37They lost ETN.
29:38He went to New Orleans.
29:39I want to see this tootin' guy in Chris Rodriguez.
29:42I want to see the Jaguars run the ball.
29:45You know he changed his name to A-chain?
29:47He did?
29:48He told everybody he was pronouncing his name.
29:51I called him ETN the whole time.
29:53You've got to bring that up.
29:54You know who I'm talking about.
29:56I'm sorry.
29:56You knew I wanted a slide route.
29:58You yelled at me.
29:58Hey, you guys are going to be correcting each other.
30:00I'm not going to correct anybody, okay?
30:02Just brothers will be brothers.
30:04That's a crappy thing to do for him, though.
30:06He shouldn't change his name in the middle of his career.
30:08Yeah, no, I mean, he...
30:09Well, yeah, I mean, sorry.
30:10You know, I changed my name to Joe.
30:14Don't do that to me, Coach.
30:15We've already had an issue.
30:15I'm calling you Jay already.
30:17All right, Jay, Falcons at the Steelers.
30:18It is two a time in Atlanta.
30:20They've got Kevin Stefanski.
30:21And then, meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers, his final NFL season.
30:25So, he says, in Pittsburgh.
30:26What do you expect from this one?
30:28I expect Pittsburgh to knock him out.
30:30I mean, first, second round.
30:31This will be a knockout blow.
30:33Pittsburgh can run the ball.
30:34I like the physicality they have running the football.
30:36I love Rico Dattle.
30:36You like Rico?
30:37I do like Rico.
30:37I like him a lot.
30:38I like the addition of Pittman.
30:40I think he's a big-time receiver.
30:41I think Aaron Rodgers will have a lot of faith in him.
30:43I love Jalen Warren out of the backfield.
30:45This guy's a shifty, nifty son of a gun.
30:47He makes people miss.
30:48He's good at the outside against the linebackers one-on-one.
30:52I think Aaron Rodgers is going to have a field day back with Micah McCarthy.
30:56Atlanta, I don't think they're going to win five, six games this year.
30:59I just think the quarterback issue is too much.
31:02You know, Tua's got the concussion issues.
31:04Pennick's got the knee issues.
31:05I mean, we've got two short left-handed quarterbacks.
31:07Hopefully, Tua can make it uninjured.
31:09But I just don't like where they're at.
31:11I love Bijon.
31:12I like Pitts.
31:12I like Drake London.
31:13Tell us something.
31:14Why don't you keep talking?
31:15But the quarterback, you said it at the beginning.
31:17It's a knockout blow.
31:18Why are you keeping giving us a knockout blow?
31:19Yeah, he's just staring at how the knockout's happening.
31:22Buck.
31:22Aaron Rodgers against Tua.
31:23Buck, Buck, keep hitting me, Tua.
31:24Aaron Rodgers against Tua.
31:25Bang.
31:26Why don't you keep going?
31:26Throwing the white down.
31:27But here's my question, because you are correct.
31:30But Aaron Rodgers, and I'm not trying to age shame here, okay?
31:32He is getting a little bit older.
31:34We have seen him have injuries later in his career.
31:37So it's not the heavyweight fight that it used to be with Aaron Rodgers, right?
31:40Okay, maybe it'll be a 12-round decision.
31:42Okay.
31:42Well, I'll say this.
31:44I love McCarthy.
31:45I think he's going to do a hell of a job.
31:47Atlanta's 0-7-1 all-time in Pittsburgh.
31:50They've never won before.
31:52And guess what?
31:53They're never going to win again.
31:54I don't like this Falcon team.
31:56They're two first-round picks from last year.
31:58Both edge rushers are not even playing.
32:01Pierce and Walker, they're out.
32:03Walker's out for the year.
32:04And you said it.
32:05I mean, I just don't feel any rhythm at all from Atlanta's offense
32:08other than B. John Robinson.
32:10But Pittsburgh's got a new defensive coordinator, Patrick Graham, an ex-Raider.
32:15They were 26th in the league last year on defense.
32:18I'm tired of hearing about the pass rushers.
32:20I want to see Brisker and Jamal Dean come in there.
32:23Some of these new players, Tayshaun, Rayshaun Jenkins.
32:27Because I want to see the Steelers' defense pick it up and win a physical game
32:31like the Steelers are known to do.
32:32So just no faith, really, in two-hour Michael Pitnicks, huh?
32:36No.
32:37This had negative vibes, too, coming out of there.
32:39Body language wasn't good.
32:41I don't know.
32:41I don't feel Atlanta at all.
32:43And I grew up hating them, and I still do.
32:45It's coming from the heart.
32:46All right, let's talk Jets at Titans, John.
32:48Geno Smith returned to the Jets.
32:50Now, the Jets have the longest active playoff drought in U.S. professional sports,
32:55which is not good.
32:55Fifteen straight seasons.
32:57Cam Ward for the Titans.
32:58Can the Jets finally do it with Geno again?
33:01I like Geno.
33:03I do.
33:03I think two years ago, he's in the Pro Bowl.
33:05I know last year he had a bunch of interceptions.
33:08I like Aaron Glenn.
33:09I know a lot of people don't like Glenn.
33:11That team gave up 503 points last year and did not have one interception.
33:15So, guess who's calling the defense now?
33:17Aaron Glenn.
33:18And they went out and added some players now.
33:20They went out and got a good pass rusher in the first round.
33:22They got my guy, DeMario Davis, the middle linebacker.
33:26Minka Fitzpatrick.
33:27They went out and added some quality guys, Jay.
33:30David Onyemata.
33:31I mean, they had some good players.
33:33And I think defensively, they're going to be enough to beat the Titans.
33:37I think the Titans are really bad on offense.
33:3930th or less in every category.
33:42Brian Dayball probably right now is waking up going,
33:45oh, shit, we've got to play tomorrow.
33:48Jay, what do you think?
33:48Here's what I think happened.
33:49I think the schedule makers, they had 30 teams written down.
33:53And they go, okay, we're done with week one.
33:54And somebody's intern goes, hold on, we've got two more teams you didn't add.
33:57They go, who?
33:58It was the Jets and the Titans.
33:59Oh, God.
34:00Let's put them week one on TBS at 1 o'clock.
34:03Yeah, this is a bad team.
34:05This is bad teams.
34:06They're both bad.
34:07I think the Jets actually are going to win more games than people think.
34:10I love the two tackles they have.
34:11I like Bree Saul.
34:12I think Geno Smith will provide enough spark, at least some quarterback competency at the quarterback spot, right?
34:18Yeah.
34:18And they've got a hell of a receiver.
34:20So I do like the Jets a little bit more than most people give them credit for.
34:23But I still think they're going to come in last in the East.
34:25This is one of those games that week 10, week 11, when we're doing the straight-up games,
34:29we just say, okay, this is a really trash game.
34:31But it is week one, so we have to give everybody their flowers.
34:33Actually, second to last.
34:34I forgot Miami was in the AFC East.
34:36Sorry.
34:36It's okay.
34:37Let's go Commanders at Eagles.
34:39Jay, Jaden Daniels could not stay healthy last season.
34:41We saw him two seasons ago, how great Washington was, how good he was.
34:45Bad season last year, but he was injured.
34:47And then we know what Philly is capable of.
34:49Do you think that the Commanders can get back on track this year?
34:52I do.
34:52We've just got to get the offensive line set.
34:54We lost Laramie Tunstall, but the left tackle we got now, he played in the AFC Championship, right?
34:58It's not like it's the end of the world.
34:59But our left guard now is now worse.
35:01Algretti moved to center.
35:03Our offensive line is kind of in disarray.
35:06The lines of disarray for Washington, we know that.
35:08That's the issue.
35:08However, I'm sure the offensive coordinator, David Blau, knows that.
35:11So he's going to protect Jayden the best way he can with quick games, zone reads, RPOs,
35:15things of that nature to keep Jayden comfortable and un-hit.
35:20John, what do you think?
35:21This is a very interesting game.
35:22Two young offensive coordinators.
35:24I mean, David Blau is calling plays for the Washington Commanders.
35:29And Jayden Daniels is back, the most exciting guy in football two years ago.
35:33They're actually going to huddle.
35:34They're actually going to have a snap count, and they're actually going to audible at the
35:38line of scrimmage.
35:39So I am very intrigued with Washington.
35:42T-Mac, Terry McLaurin, they're going to move him around.
35:45He's not going to be over there on the left every play the whole game.
35:48They're going to put him in motion.
35:49He's going to catch a lot of passes.
35:51They add Stephon Diggs.
35:52And I love the rookie out of Clemson, Antonio Williams.
35:55So I think Washington is going to scare the living hell out of Philly.
35:59I'm just hoping Jalen Hurts buys in to Sean Mannion's offense.
36:04I mean, last year, they're in a shotgun every play.
36:07There's no play-action passes.
36:09Philadelphia led the league in three and outs.
36:11No wonder the fans were booing.
36:13And no wonder A.J. Brown was reading a book and leaving town.
36:16And they've got to pick it up on offense.
36:18But this is going to be, I think, a very close game.
36:21I'm going to pick Philly because they're playing at home.
36:24But it's going to be a tough game for them.
36:25All right, let's go Cardinals at Chargers, John.
36:28We know that Mike LaFleur now is in Arizona.
36:31I love Jeremiah Love.
36:32We're going to get to see his debut.
36:34But year three with Jim Harbaugh in L.A., we know what Justin Herbert is capable of.
36:38What do you expect to see in both Arizona and L.A. with these two teams this year?
36:42Well, Arizona led the league in injuries.
36:44So they have that going for them last year.
36:46Everybody got hurt all the time.
36:47And they got an injury in training camp.
36:49Hell, Jeremiah Love was hurt.
36:50They lost a starting guard, potentially, Chase Masonis.
36:53They just have a lot of injuries going on in Arizona.
36:57But with Harbaugh, we know he's a good coach.
36:59But he changed gears completely now, bringing in Mike McDaniel from the Dolphins.
37:05I have no idea what Miami's going to do.
37:08I do know this.
37:09I have no idea what L.A. is going to do on offense.
37:12But I do know this.
37:13They got three good tight ends.
37:15Gadsden can catch it.
37:16And Joku's there from Cleveland.
37:18And Charlie Kolar will block his ass off.
37:21And I love Omari and Hampton.
37:23I think the addition of Alec Ingold at fullback.
37:26I think McDaniel's mysterious way of calling plays.
37:30I think the Chargers are going to overwhelm Arizona in this game.
37:34And their defense is still really good.
37:36Jay, what do you think?
37:37I think McDaniel did a great job at the running game.
37:39We all talk about Tyree killing Jay Waddle at Miami, right?
37:42But he did a great job with Devon H.A. now.
37:43And now I think he's going to open up some big-time holes for Hampton.
37:46I really do.
37:47I think Hampton's going to have a huge year.
37:49I don't see how Arizona can hang in there with the Chargers, right?
37:53Hackett's back, call and plays, right?
37:55It's going to be a struggle for Arizona to keep up with the Chargers, defense and offense.
38:00I don't know where they lean to.
38:01Are we going to throw the ball to win?
38:02Are we going to hammer them to win?
38:03Chargers can stop the run.
38:05How are they going to get first downs?
38:07How are they going to score points?
38:08You know what I want to see from Arizona?
38:10I want to see their young players step up.
38:12I mean, they've got all these young guys.
38:14I'm talking Walter Nolan, Darius Robertson, first-round picks on defense, Will Johnson,
38:20this corner from Michigan, Paris Johnson, left tackle, Marvin Harrison.
38:25I mean, they haven't really done anything on the tapes I see.
38:28Let's go, man.
38:29Let's get these guys in a room with Buda Baker, and let's get these guys ready to come out
38:33and play to their potential.
38:34Fire them up, coach.
38:36All right, let's go.
38:37Dolphins at Raiders, a very interesting matchup.
38:39Oh, we have to do it.
38:41You're going to make me do this.
38:45I got my shred player, my shred fantasy player of the week is in this game.
38:50Brock Bowers.
38:52Brock Bowers in Clint Kubiak's offense.
38:56And the Dolphins lost all five of their defensive backs last year.
39:00All of them.
39:00Gone.
39:01This is going to be a shred show.
39:03Kirk Cousins, Clint Kubiak at home in Vegas.
39:06Boom!
39:06We're going to knock the Dolphins out.
39:08You like that?
39:09I like that.
39:10You like that?
39:10You like that?
39:11You like that, Cousins.
39:13You got to love Kirk.
39:14I'm excited for Kirk to get another opportunity.
39:16Man, I had a chance to coach him, obviously, and he got me a couple of your extensions.
39:19So thank you, Kirk.
39:20I appreciate it.
39:20I love the Raiders, too.
39:21I just think Miami's in disarray.
39:23But I do like Devon Achan.
39:24I mean, this guy is going to be a one-man show.
39:26They got Douglas on the outside.
39:28They have a couple of weapons.
39:30But I'm interested to see how Willis plays at quarterback.
39:32You know, he's a wild card.
39:33He can run the football.
39:35He threw the ball pretty good at Green Bay last year in the times that he played.
39:38I'm interested to see.
39:39Miami's a wild card to me.
39:40I don't know how they're going to be offensively.
39:42I don't know if they have enough weapons.
39:43But I know they have one weapon.
39:45That's Devon Achan.
39:46You know what Bill Walsh, the great legendary coach of the 49ers, taught me?
39:50He said, John, if you have three rookies that start for you, you have a horse ship team.
39:56The Dolphins have like nine starting rookies, man.
39:59We're taking them down.
40:00Later nation.
40:01And a new head coach, too.
40:02Anytime you have a new head coach and a new quarterback combination, things can go awry.
40:05I do have to ask, though, because Kirk Cousins has a job.
40:07He deserves a job.
40:08You've got Fernando Mendoza, though, sitting there waiting.
40:11And he's an exciting player.
40:12We saw what he was able to do in college.
40:14Do you think that we see him at all, barring some injury?
40:17Are they going to do little packages for him?
40:18Or is it just kind of wait and see with Fernando?
40:21I think when you're a drop-back quarterback like Fernando, it might take a little more time.
40:24Athletic quarterbacks, you get away with some of the zone reads and your RPOs.
40:27It's very easy in the bootlegs.
40:28I think Fernando needs to see the protections and feel really good about what he's seeing pre-snap,
40:34not just throwing the ball down the field.
40:35So I think it takes some time.
40:36The two of them together are so cute.
40:38Let's be honest.
40:39I mean, this guy, Mendoza, has a chance to hang out with Tom Brady and watch Kirk Cousins play,
40:46who played for Clint Kubiak and shredded people in Minnesota.
40:49So watch what he does.
40:51Prepare like he prepares, and you're going to be better for that in the long run.
40:54And you're going to be healthy and ready to roll when you're out.
40:56Kirk will prepare now.
40:57Yes, he will.
40:58There's something about over-preparing, though.
41:00Sometimes he will.
41:01Sometimes we overdo it.
41:03I will say the little skits that they've been doing and how they're so cute together doing
41:06like the stepbrother stuff, I love it.
41:07I love both Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza.
41:09All right, last game of straight-up football, Packers at the Vikings.
41:13Kyler Murray debuting for the Vikings year three of Jordan Love in Green Bay.
41:17Jay, what do you expect to see?
41:18I expect Minnesota to come out and whoop some tail, man.
41:21I'm excited for Kyler Murray.
41:23I think this is a breath of fresh air for him.
41:25He's going to go back to pass.
41:26He's never seen the likes of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison and T.J. Hawkinson.
41:30I mean, this is unbelievable.
41:32He's going to have a blast.
41:33Now, he does give up on some plays quickly.
41:35He'll use his athleticism a little too quickly, abort plays, but he's not going to have to.
41:40Justin Jefferson will be open.
41:42I think it's an exciting time for Kyler Murray.
41:44If he can be close to that first-round draft pick we thought he was at one time, these Minnesota
41:48Vikings are going to be dangerous because defensively, we know what they can do on defense.
41:52As they get after the quarterback, my man Van Geekle, one of my favorite defenders in the NFL.
41:56Do not throw a screen to Van Geekle's side.
41:58Don't do it.
41:59It's a pick.
41:59You know what I'm saying?
42:00Yeah.
42:00I like the Vikings.
42:01And Green Bay's got some injuries to deal with.
42:03They're a little shaken right now.
42:04They need Micah Parsons back.
42:05They're not at full strength right now.
42:07Once they get there, I think Green Bay will be competitive.
42:08But in this game, I'm taking school, brother.
42:12You better hope Kyler Murray plays good.
42:15Because if I'm Kevin O'Connell, you let Sam Darnold walk out of there?
42:19You let him walk out of there?
42:20You let Daniel Jones walk out of there for J.J. McCarthy?
42:24You better hope Kyler Murray is great.
42:26Because if he isn't, you're going to hear the school people going,
42:29Oh!
42:30It's not going to be good.
42:32What was that?
42:32And I don't like it.
42:33I don't like what they did not one bit.
42:35You got Sam Darnold.
42:37He helps you win and go to the playoffs.
42:39You let him out of there.
42:40I'm worried about the Vikings if things don't go good early.
42:43And I'm going to stay with my Packers, man.
42:45They kicked Minnesota's ass 23-6 last year at home.
42:49And Emmanuel Wilson ran for 120 yards.
42:52So I know Marshawn Lloyd and I know Chris Brooks, the backup backs,
42:57who are taking over for Jacobs.
42:59They're like, I'm going to prove to everybody we can play.
43:01And they're going to ram it at Minnesota.
43:02I like the Pack in this game.
43:04You know, Minnesota's 9-8 last year, right?
43:06We're like, they're slouches.
43:07You know, Harrison Smith's back.
43:09He's 37 years old.
43:10Knock on wood for him.
43:12He's a great player.
43:13But I still don't feel the quarterback position coming through like you do.
43:19Well, going into week one, everything is on the table.
43:22So we know that we've seen some teams go from worst to first.
43:25We've seen a lot of different things happen.
43:26But let's go to look at the Super Bowl odds according to DraftKings.
43:30So, of course, the Rams are the favorites at plus 500.
43:32And if you look at this, you know, the Bills, the Ravens, the Seahawks, a lot of familiar names.
43:36But, Coach, we saw last year some of the worst teams in the division go to first.
43:41Who can you expect to see do that this year?
43:43Who do you predict to do that?
43:44That's a great question.
43:45I mean, four teams go from worst to first last year.
43:48Carolina wins the division.
43:50Jacksonville won the division.
43:52And New England won the division.
43:53And so did the Bears.
43:54Nobody saw that coming.
43:55But this year, I kind of like the Saints as a contender to go from worst to first in the
44:01South.
44:01I agree, 100%.
44:02And I kind of like the Lions.
44:03Remember, they finished at the bottom of the North.
44:05I think those two teams, maybe the Giants, if they hit lightning in a bottle, if all these young guys
44:11start coming through.
44:12What do you think?
44:13I agree with you 100%.
44:14I think the Saints, because you're looking at the Buccaneer defense, secondary, a little shaky.
44:19I got Atlanta with all the questions of quarterback.
44:21Carolina, I'm not sold on Carolina.
44:23So I think Saints are a really good pick.
44:25I like Tyler Shuck, man.
44:27Where did he go to school?
44:29He went to Louisville.
44:30He also went to three other colleges.
44:32Louisville last.
44:33They all go a lot of different places.
44:35Okay, so we've made some predictions.
44:37But now we're going to go just right on the record, Jay and John.
44:40Who is going to the Super Bowl this year?
44:42I'm taking the Denver Broncos.
44:44We already said that at the beginning.
44:46They're a hell of a team.
44:47Got a great coach.
44:49I'm really torn in the NFC, but I'm going to stick with the Seattle Seahawks.
44:54I just think they are that good, that dominant.
44:56I think they have the right stuff to repeat.
44:59Jay?
45:01I've got to think that Betty favored the Rams.
45:03I mean, when Aaron Donald gets back with Garrett, it's not fair.
45:06Their defensive line wasn't terrible last year.
45:07I know they lost verse because of Miles Garrett, but they still had some good players.
45:11Fisk in there, some good players.
45:13The linebacking core is good.
45:14Their secondary is good.
45:15They added the two corners from Kansas City.
45:17I mean, their receiving core is very good.
45:19Devontae and Puka.
45:20Their quarterback is the best.
45:22I mean, what do you want?
45:23Kyron Williams.
45:23Who else do you like?
45:24So, I'm going to the Rams.
45:25I'm going to – this is the year.
45:27You like Jim Leonard, right?
45:28Do you like him?
45:29You're going to do it?
45:30I want to see these young guys do it.
45:31I like him if they can do something and win a game on defense this Sunday against Houston.
45:36It's tied for the Bills, baby.
45:38Bills mafia, baby, versus the Rams.
45:39How fun would that be?
45:40Yeah, no, it does feel like if the Bills are going to do it, this would be the year.
45:44So, I'm going to take the Rams, too.
45:46Because I know it's a chalk pick, and I get that.
45:47But everything you just said, you've got Miles Garrett.
45:49You've got Matt Stafford.
45:50We know what they have.
45:51So, I'm going to take the Rams.
45:52But on the other side, I'm going to take the Bengals.
45:53Because I think that this is the year.
45:55I know.
45:55I know.
45:55It's a little bit – it's a little bit crazy.
45:57But you've got healthy Joe.
45:58We know he's been able to get them there before.
46:00They finally have a defense.
46:02They have finally put together a defense.
46:04We have seen Joe Burrow struggle a lot, not offensively.
46:07It's he does everything he can do.
46:08And the defense is always shit on the other side.
46:10Not this year.
46:11I'm taking the Cincinnati Bengals to make the Super Bowl.
46:13If she's right and we're wrong, we'll never hear them.
46:15The Cincinnati Bengals go to the Super Bowl.
46:18What do I get?
46:18So, you're getting a new suit.
46:19You're getting some irons.
46:20What do I get?
46:20I'll buy you a new car.
46:22Ooh.
46:23A small car.
46:24Any car I want?
46:25Any kind of car I want?
46:27No.
46:27No, of course.
46:27We'll get a Chevrolet.
46:29No way.
46:29Hey, you wanted me to make a bold prediction, right?
46:32It can't be chalk all the time.
46:34All right.
46:34So, this is the most exciting segment that we have in 2026.
46:38I am so excited.
46:39Because we've got the brothers here, right?
46:40We've got everything.
46:41We have the Gruden Family Vault presented by Reese's.
46:44There's something for everyone when it comes to Reese's.
46:46Reese's is my favorite candy.
46:48You've got chocolate.
46:49You've got peanut butter.
46:49It's the best duo.
46:50If I see a Reese's, I'm going to eat it.
46:52And we've got a ton over there.
46:53Reese's is the official candy partner of Barstool Sports, which you know everybody is so excited
46:58about.
46:58Go get Reese's wherever you shop.
47:00Okay.
47:01So, I'm going to have to put you on the hot spot.
47:03I'm going to have to do it.
47:04We've been talking a lot about new head coaches.
47:06We're talking about their debut.
47:07It's week one.
47:08I believe September 6th, 1998 was when you debuted as your head coach.
47:15You were playing Kansas City.
47:16You lost 28-8.
47:18I believe something around the lines of 15 penalties.
47:21Yes.
47:22Five lost fumbles.
47:23Five lost fumbles.
47:25Had 10 sacks.
47:26But six of those sacks from a guy named Derek Thomas.
47:29So, why don't you go over to the vault and you show us what you got?
47:32You know.
47:33Bad times for you.
47:34Flying home with Al Davis after that game.
47:36I'm surprised I made it.
47:36Shots he didn't throw you out of the plane, coach.
47:38But, you know, after that game, three weeks later, I get a package, FedEx, on my desk.
47:46Look what this man sent me.
47:48Derek Thomas sent me his jersey saying, thanks for putting me in a Hall of Fame.
47:53He absolutely freaking annihilated us.
47:56He had six sacks, but he caused the other four, including a safety.
48:00I'm never going to forget this performance this man laid down.
48:04He was one of the great all-time rushers.
48:07What did Al Davis say to you on the plane for that?
48:09I was sitting over here.
48:10He was sitting over there talking to a couple of the scouts.
48:12I could hear him saying, what did we see in this idiot?
48:17What the hell did we see in this clown?
48:19It was not good.
48:20So, I know you pretty well at this point, and I went and looked at the exact quote that you
48:24had about that
48:25because everybody wanted to know, how did you feel?
48:27I'm sure this was a few weeks later, but you said, whatever could go wrong did go wrong
48:30the first eight minutes of my head coaching debut.
48:32That seems much nicer than you normally are.
48:34Yeah.
48:35It was a long week of preparation.
48:36We did come back, though, and kick the Giants' ass in Oakland the next week.
48:40Did they not think about a chipper on Derek Thomas?
48:42Well, they were blitzing every play, so they forced us to pick up a blitz.
48:45You were 2-11 on third down, but he got to Jeff George six times.
48:49How did your opening game go, Mr. Genius?
48:52Yeah, I was about to say, was it better?
48:52You talking to me?
48:53Yeah.
48:53Yeah, was it better?
48:54No, he lost 28-6.
48:56JJ Watt put on a freaking stomp fest in your backfield.
48:59We tried to double him.
49:00Couldn't figure out where he was.
49:01He lined up everywhere all different.
49:02This is almost like a trophy-hunting situation.
49:05Like, he wanted you to see the jersey.
49:06Did JJ Watt send you anything nice?
49:07Nope.
49:08I got nothing except booed by my fans.
49:11That one's tough.
49:12I mean, I love that.
49:13That's incredible.
49:13That was really good.
49:14Great family vault.
49:15So we're going to keep all of those all year.
49:16But, Coach, we've talked about the 10 new hires this season.
49:19We have four coaches that are just going somewhere else.
49:21They've coached before.
49:22They're going somewhere else.
49:23So when you look at this list, what stands out?
49:24Four offensive guys.
49:26I can't wait to see Coach Monken in Cleveland.
49:28I can't wait to see Kubiak with my Raiders.
49:30And I really want to see what Joe Brady does in Buffalo as the head coach.
49:35And then I want to see Mike LaFleur, what he can do in the West with this Arizona team.
49:40And the two defensive coaches.
49:42For the first time, you're going to see Jeff Halfley as the head coach in the NFL.
49:45And Jesse Minter has a high, high amount of respect out there.
49:50And he's taken over for a guy who was there for a long time.
49:52So I'm eager to see the six newcomers.
49:54But I'm most interested in seeing what Mike McCarthy can do with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
50:00And Aaron Rodgers reuniting with the quarterback of this caliber.
50:04And the amount of people that they shredded back in the day.
50:07That's a team to really be careful with.
50:09That's the Pittsburgh Steelers.
50:11Hey, Houston, we have a problem.
50:13All right.
50:13It is time for the Shredline.
50:16And, John, I know you love it.
50:17You debuted a song last year on our show.
50:19And we were all dancing in there.
50:21But we're giving fans and our audience the opportunity to call in and bitch about with it.
50:26Whatever they want to say.
50:27Leave a voicemail.
50:28But before we get into it, are you guys wanting to complain about anything?
50:31Yeah, I want to complain about the Raider fans right now.
50:34In Vegas, they keep selling their tickets to the visiting team.
50:39And we had to use a silent count a couple times at home.
50:42We got to get Raider Nation back in the stadium.
50:46And quit selling our tickets to the freaking other team.
50:51You got anything on your mind?
50:52I just don't think it's Raider Nation.
50:53It's in Vegas.
50:54They're not the Oakland Raiders.
50:56It's always going to be the Oakland Raiders.
50:57Ah, shut up.
50:57It is the Raiders.
50:58Just like it's the Washington Redskins.
50:59It's not the Washington Commanders.
51:01Come on.
51:01Let's get to the college.
51:02Let's get all out of here, Washington Commanders.
51:04Hail to the Commanders.
51:05Come on.
51:06Well, and don't forget, at one point, it was just the football team, wasn't it?
51:09Yeah, yeah, yeah.
51:09I mean, that was just the craziest thing of all time.
51:11All right, let's go to voicemail number one.
51:13Now, by the time that this is airing, the international game will have already been played.
51:17A lot of feelings about international games.
51:19This guy, though, a different spin on the hatred, Coach.
51:23Hey, Gruden, I want a piece of you, Gruden.
51:26I follow your content, and I listen to you bitch and moan about international games.
51:33Oh, how it disrupts routine.
51:36Gruden, the game was built on sacrifice.
51:40You benefited, and all the players of today and the coaches of today benefited from the sacrifice of players and
51:48coaches that came before you.
51:49What if Red Grains and his teammates, who had to travel all around the country, barnstorming, playing like 20 games
51:59within 55 days,
52:01what about the sacrifice they made to grow the sport?
52:05You need to embrace growing the sport globally.
52:08You understand that?
52:10I understand that.
52:12Get them off.
52:13I understand that completely.
52:15I mean, we're not going overseas to play home games.
52:18I didn't see Red Grains playing in Australia, and I never saw Ray Nitschke play in London, okay?
52:24So take that and stick that in your pipe.
52:26If you want to grow the game, grow it in the United States.
52:29We got a lot of kids that aren't playing football.
52:32So let's play games where we need to grow the game in our country.
52:36Let's start and end with that.
52:38Hey, 100%.
52:39By the way, the fact that he said travel all over the country, that's the point.
52:41This is American football, Coach.
52:43This is American football.
52:44I don't want to be on a 16-hour flight seven different time zones to play one of my home
52:49games.
52:50Sorry.
52:51You don't like him either, right?
52:52I hate him.
52:53Good.
52:53I think he said enough.
52:54I don't need to pile up.
52:55When I agree with him, I shut up.
52:57When I disagree with him, I'll speak up.
52:59Totally fair.
53:00All right.
53:01Voicemail number two.
53:03All I know is that this person is not happy that Odell Beckham is back in New York.
53:08Let's listen.
53:10Odell Beckham Jr. is terrible for the fucking franchise.
53:13He's terrible for the locker room.
53:15And overall, it's terrible for the Giants.
53:17He went off in his fucking rookie year, one-handed catch, fucking playing around with his hair
53:22and his cleats and everything like that.
53:23All the fans go ballistic.
53:25Goes off to do his own thing because he thinks he's better than the team.
53:28Realizes that he is not.
53:30He is nothing without the Giants.
53:32Comes crawling back on his hands and fucking knees.
53:35And now everybody's blowing him, thinking that he's fucking...
53:38Okay, I hear that.
53:39Why don't you go cheering for Wondell Robinson catching a bubble screen then?
53:44Is that what you want?
53:45I mean, the guy had 1,300 yards three years in a row.
53:49Everybody in New York had a Odell Beckham jersey on.
53:53Give the guy a chance, man.
53:55Get behind him.
53:56Welcome him back.
53:58Man, a guy might be a piece of the puzzle that a young quarterback needs.
54:02He can catch.
54:03He can still run.
54:05He's athletic.
54:06Can he still hang out on boats, though?
54:07Because I know a lot of fans want to know.
54:08He's a little bit of a distraction.
54:10Now, he's a good player, but a little bit of a distraction, no?
54:13I don't think he's a distraction that's negative to the players in the locker room.
54:16That's right.
54:16To the fans, maybe.
54:17The media might like his being a distraction, but the players don't.
54:21Well, this fan, he's very upset about it.
54:22Yeah, that guy.
54:23He's just upset about anything, right?
54:25You just try to get on a boat.
54:26Relax a little bit.
54:27Yeah, he would go on the boat.
54:29All right, voicemail number three.
54:30Now, a lot of Eagles fans very unhappy in the offseason with this A.J. Brown trade.
54:34Let's hear from it.
54:37Yo, I'm calling about the Philadelphia Eagles this upcoming season.
54:43I just had some.
54:45I'm pissed.
54:46How are you going to trade away one of the best wide receivers in Philly history, A.J. Brown,
54:52to the Patriots for literally nothing?
54:55And now you've got Devonta Smith and Mekhi Lemon as your one and twos?
55:01I mean, what are we doing?
55:03I mean, A.J. Brown is ten times better than Devonta.
55:08He's a hundred thousand times better than Mekhi Lemon.
55:11And you traded him for nothing.
55:13And now you have, I mean.
55:15Okay, get him off.
55:16That's enough of that whining.
55:18I mean, hell, the guy didn't even want to be there.
55:20He had that look in his eye like, get me the hell out of here every single play, man.
55:26I mean, they got him out of there.
55:27They got a first-round pick for him.
55:29I love Dontavian Wicks.
55:31I think they got a hell of a receiver in Mekhi Lemon out of USC with the first-round pick.
55:36Devonta's a baller.
55:37And Devonta Smith, what the hell's wrong with him?
55:39These Eagles fans, go throw some snowballs at Santa Claus, you sourpuss.
55:44They hated him in the locker room and vice versa.
55:46There was a lot of dysfunction there.
55:48Don't you think it was a good trade for both teams?
55:50I think it was.
55:51Also, Mekhi Lemon's pretty good.
55:52A.J. Brown had to go.
55:53He needed to go.
55:54He's not happy there.
55:55Nobody wanted to be around him.
55:56Just go.
55:57Start fresh.
55:58Get a New Jersey.
55:58Buy a New Jersey.
56:00Okay, so coaches going into the season who may or may not be on the hot seat.
56:04Voicemail number four.
56:05Let's see who this guy thinks is on the hot seat.
56:07John, what's up, man?
56:09It's Moisty Turtle here.
56:10Fuck you, Jake Malisek, you piece of shit.
56:14If the Bengals start out 0-2 or 1-0-1 this year,
56:18Jack Taylor, man, you got to fucking say sayonara.
56:21You are a piece of shit coach, man.
56:23How the fuck do you start out 0-2, 1-1,
56:26or 0-3 with Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Jamar Chase?
56:30If he doesn't get it together this year,
56:32fucking Cincinnati is to run this guy out of town, John.
56:35He's a fucking lame-ass coach,
56:37and he can't do something this year with our boys.
56:40I mean, my fucking God.
56:41We couldn't even make the playoffs last year.
56:43It's fucking unbelievable.
56:45The Cincinnati Bengals start out 0-2.
56:47Go ahead.
56:48Take it, Jay.
56:49Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, and Tee Higgins
56:51can't block or tackle.
56:52I mean, their defense has been atrocious
56:53for the last three years,
56:54and their protection of Joe Burrow
56:56has been atrocious.
56:57So let's give a little bit of blame
56:59to the front office of Cincinnati,
57:00even though I love Mike Brown,
57:02but the personnel has not matched
57:03what they need to be.
57:04The offensive line...
57:05Let's ask Mrs. Cincinnati Bengals here.
57:07They addressed it.
57:09They addressed it.
57:10They got a better defense.
57:11You picked them to win the Super Bowl.
57:12Go to the Super Bowl.
57:13I didn't necessarily pick them,
57:14but I do.
57:14I think that they finally gave Joe Burrow a defense,
57:16but that's not completely on Zach Taylor.
57:18You can't put Zach Taylor squarely on the hot seat, right?
57:20Well, he's in the meetings in the offseason
57:21picking out the team, I hope.
57:22I don't think that's happening.
57:22What do you mean?
57:22I got fired twice, traded, trampled on.
57:25That's what happens.
57:26Win or lose, you get fired if you don't.
57:28They're going to be okay this year, I think.
57:30I hope, because that's what my future pick was.
57:32All right, last one.
57:33Now, this is not a dating show.
57:34This is a football show.
57:36Apparently, there's some dating advice
57:38involved with football.
57:39Let's listen.
57:42The Cleveland Browns might just make my girlfriend
57:46start fucking wailing on me this season.
57:49I swear.
57:51She cannot stand Deshaun Watson.
57:53She already hates the coach.
57:55This sucks.
57:59Well, is that a shredder?
58:00Is that like a plea for help?
58:02It's a plea for help.
58:03Yeah, I mean, I agree with the caller.
58:05I don't have any idea what's going on in Cleveland.
58:08Every day, it's like a house of representatives
58:11talking about who the quarterback is going to be.
58:14They don't have one right now.
58:16The owner gave the guy $700 billion.
58:18I mean, you've got to see him take a snap,
58:20even though he's blown his Achilles 16 times.
58:22I mean, this is not a good situation for Cleveland at all.
58:24But you've got to give Deshaun Watson a snap or two.
58:27But it's not going to be pretty in Cleveland.
58:28You guys have been married for a really long time.
58:30You got any advice on how to keep a girlfriend or a wife happy?
58:32Happy wife, happy life, right?
58:33Go to work a lot.
58:35Keep doing the little things, the little tiny things
58:37that helped you fall in love in the first place.
58:39After I got fired and I wasn't working, it's hard.
58:42It's hard.
58:42Relationships are hard.
58:43I like the shred line.
58:44Shred me, man.
58:45Go ahead.
58:45Give me your best shot.
58:46What?
58:47Shred me.
58:49I don't want to shred you right now.
58:50Yeah.
58:51I mean, your pants are a little too tight.
58:53You're not a very good driver.
58:54Your golf game is a shits.
58:55Even though you pick up, you take too many mulligans.
58:57I mean, what the hell?
58:58You drink too much wine.
58:59How's that?
59:00You can never drink too much wine.
59:01I don't drink too much wine.
59:02I just had to think of stuff.
59:04Yeah.
59:05Scratch that from the record.
59:07Okay.
59:08So the end of week one.
59:09I'm going to start drinking.
59:10I mean, you don't know what's in that mug.
59:11Okay.
59:12So, but you can get back.
59:13I just made all that up.
59:13That was pretty good.
59:14Yeah.
59:14Right off the cuff.
59:15So end of week one, the first ever Gruden family football show.
59:18What do you think, big brother?
59:19How did you do?
59:20I love it.
59:20I love opening week.
59:22I mean, there's a lot of unknown.
59:23Let's be honest.
59:24We don't know who's coming out of the tunnel, but we brought our A game.
59:27And we'll get better next week.
59:28That's the key.
59:29We got to keep getting better.
59:30Thank you to the Shredline callers.
59:32Thanks for watching.
59:33Thanks for joining us.
59:34We'll be back next week.
59:35We'll be back next week.
