A 19-year-old from Boynton Beach, Florida, was arrested after investigators say multiple online tips connected him to more than 30 highly concerning files involving young people.
The investigation began in early February 2026, when authorities received several cyber tips from Google and Dropbox. According to police, both companies had detected concerning files being uploaded through accounts allegedly connected to the teenager. Detectives began looking into the accounts and determined that more than 30 files had been reported. Investigators then obtained search warrants for Google and Dropbox, allowing them to examine the accounts more closely. Police said they uncovered additional concerning material while reviewing the information. The next step was determining who was actually behind the accounts. Investigators subpoenaed the internet provider connected to the uploads, and according to the probable cause affidavit, that information eventually led detectives to a home in Boynton Beach. On March 5, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at the residence. Investigators questioned the 19-year-old about the accounts, usernames and electronic devices connected to the online activity. According to police, the teenager confirmed that he used several of the email accounts, online usernames and electronic devices investigators had linked to the case. Following the interview and investigation, the 19-year-old was taken into custody. He was charged with eight felony counts connected to the concerning material discovered during the investigation. He was then transported to the Palm Beach County Jail for processing. What began with several cyber tips from two major technology companies quickly developed into a larger police investigation. Detectives say they followed the digital trail from the online accounts, to the internet connection, and eventually to the teenager's home. Less than a month after receiving the initial tips, officers executed a search warrant and made an arrest. This is body-cam footage of the events.
