00:01okay so um yesterday we took predictions on what was going to happen in this lions bills game
00:08and uh we said we'd get to it at 1202 so here are some of the better predictions
00:13uh christen lake orion was close he said bills went 42 17 josh allen has four touchdown passes
00:18and one rushing he'll take advantage of hutchinson over rushing every snap
00:22thomas car says i think the line's going to lose fairly large 35 14 they have no defense we'll see
00:28if i'm right mike and clarkston said bills 45 lines 31 that's 41 31 the lions defense will be
00:37ineffective steven roseville said bills 38 lines 27 lines secondary aren't that good but jack and
00:45royal oak had this one bills win 42 31 wow couple of sacks and holding penalties with the backup
00:55offensive line well was goff sacked what three times there were at least one holding call there
01:03were the false starts i think there might have been more holding calls on the defense and there were
01:07there were sadly that's that's a nice prediction there and it would have been 42 to 31 if they
01:14didn't miss the extra point yep you didn't see that coming you didn't see that coming did you
01:19jack jack jack spot huh so look um we've spent pretty much two hours telling you why your feelings
01:29of despair are somewhat authentic and and justifiable today the season's not over i will add this
01:40the 15 and 2 team couldn't stop the bills either and so josh allen is a problem and i'm not
01:52giving up
01:53on this season i don't think i don't think it's wise to you can do whatever you want i think
01:57this team
01:58still has a lot of attainable good goals can win a lot of football games and and make some noise
02:03in the
02:03postseason are they super bowl caliber well they don't stack up against the bills right now
02:07but a lot can change between now and later
02:14yeah this is a this is a frustrating loss last night because the defense looks so bad
02:18the offense took a while to get on track and once they got on track they were unstoppable
02:22and that was good to watch although that was a lot of passing it wasn't a ton of uh jameer

02:35miller is back healthy that that's going to be a big difference with the run game again
02:40hope so um but the pass game was was great last night i mean golf was accurate um threw the

02:45away when he had to throw the ball away i think he'd probably only a couple passes he'd like to

02:50back st brown really stepped things up in the second half there were some contested catches the guys
02:56made jameer gibbs and st brown in particular did that nice grab from tesla on the final drive
03:03is that fourth and 17 yeah third and 17 or fourth and 18 yeah fourth and 18 they got 20
03:08on it yeah
03:09that was a hell of a throw and catch on that play um gator i think the numbers look good

03:15the buffalo's playing a different defense at that point in the game too though i mean they just want
03:19you to kind of take your time driving down the field i mean you we just mentioned they had to

03:22it on fourth and 18 to even score that drive of course but they did convert it on fourth and

03:26when all you got you know everybody's like we'll just keep people in front of you and they and they
03:30did convert it i'm not gonna i guess i'm not gonna blow off the what they did in the second

03:37because they had to throw the ball and and try to get back into it the disturbing thing about the
03:42lions offensively in the second half was jameer gibbs had eight carries for 47 yards in the first half
03:48eight carries for five yards in the second yeah don't they did it that forced them to have to
03:52throw the football because they weren't able to run the ball all right some some calls got uh called
03:58back to he had some decent runs they got called back that's true and and then the thing about
04:02the offense is the second half like i said it looked good and they did they you know they scored
04:06it and cashed in some touchdowns but the first half is when they really needed to come through
04:10because you needed to keep josh allen off the field and that defense was gassed and getting gashed and they
04:16then as much as i blame the defense because the defense was terrible and provided no resistance
04:20the offense didn't help them at all in that first quarter especially no i mean the first drive uh
04:25it's third and eight and there's a sack they give a sack on third down and it nothing you could
04:31do
04:31there uh if you're jared goff because you had the stunt that was misplayed on the left side
04:35and russo comes from the right side beats borum and gets the sack that three and out that's brutal
04:40uh then they get the second possession and there's another sack by russo uh who beat brock right badly
04:48on that play uh golf fumbled but they were able to but right able to recover that fumble um and
04:56then
04:56to get the high snap that results in another fumble so those first two drives brutal absolutely brutal
05:04and all the bills did was arch right down the field 85 yards in 10 plays for a touchdown and

05:10march down the field 79 yards uh on eight plays and a touchdown i mean that game over

08:09you know i think the last six quarters is kind of confirmed maybe not the sky is falling but it
08:14confirmed what i think our our concerns were over the due to summer with our back end on our defense
08:21and uh you know it's just you know it just doesn't look good and i hate to be that bitter

08:26he's you know he calls me a hater all the time i'm like carlos i'm not a hater dude i

08:30trying to be more of a realist here well they did not i don't think they did enough to address

08:37secondary on this team i you know it's hindsight with with some of this stuff when you think about
08:43how you're going to construct a team i would much rather have a team that is strong on the edge
08:49strong on the defensive secondary than to have just a really good front seven and that's what
08:56they're missing they have nothing in the secondary uh with with playmakers right now because guys
09:00are hurt you the top two players that are out right now with kirby joseph and brian branch
09:06it's not small these are all pro caliber safeties that are gone for indefinite periods of time
09:14and unfortunately they they didn't go out and and acquire a player via trade draft or free agency
09:25that really makes you feel like okay this is great we got at the very least it's a placeholder
09:30until one of these guys comes back or hey this is a guy who's going to compete for a job
09:34uh for years
09:35to come we got it we got a guy in our secondary jeremy what'd you shoot yesterday uh do we

09:50you know it was a michigan course it's very tough he it's only it's only his uh first year in
