00:00The Falcons did their best, you know, sort of pieced together, duct tape impression last week with all the injuries
00:06that they have and not having their backup and then their backup to the backup play, of course, in the
00:11NFL.
00:12So Cooper Rush gets to start again.
00:13And I guess, Doc, lucky for the Falcons, so to speak, is they didn't get a great offensive juggernaut in
00:19Pittsburgh last week.
00:20They don't get a great offensive juggernaut in Carolina this week.
00:24So Cooper Rush, I guess, is it fair to say he's got to hold it down one more week because
00:28at least the comments from Michael Pennick certainly indicated he's closer as opposed to further away than returning.
00:33Is that accurate?
00:35I think it is.
00:36You know, Tua's been sidelined with the oblique, and unless he's taken the rib block or something, you know, Sam
00:42Darnold played through it last year to win the Super Bowl.
00:44That doesn't seem to be happening.
00:46And I think the Falcons are really trying to shoehorn in Michael Pennick's in Week 2.
00:52Didn't quite make it.
00:53And even though Week 3 is on a short week on Thursday here against Green Bay, I still think even
01:00though it's a short week, they may try and put in Pennick's, as you said.
01:04A lot of it depends on how Cooper Rush does today here.
01:08But in all fairness, Cooper Rush, it's his first year with Atlanta, new system.
01:14And he didn't get a lot of starter reps in the preseason or leading up to this.
01:19And so, you know, even this week, he split them with Michael Pennick.
01:23So that's not actually a fair shake for him, which makes it a tough road.
