A man involved in a drugs plot that saw Twenty kilograms of heroin transported to Leeds from Birmingham during the first Covid lockdown has been jailed following an investigation by specialist detectives.

00:06Birmingham during the first COVID lockdown has been jailed. Officers from West Yorkshire Police's
00:12Programme Precision Initiative, which targets serious and organised crime, built up an evidential
00:19picture that linked Jacob Mia to the conspiracy. Also known as Mohamed Qazi, he was initially
00:24arrested in 2020 but fled the country while under investigation. Mia has now been sentenced to 14
00:32years imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court. Shafiqal Islam Ali was also sentenced to 14 years in prison
00:38and Ali Hussein was jailed for seven years and five months for their part in the crime.
