00:26interesting stuff around the nfl another full slate of games and and as we always do what does it mean
00:31for the lions and let's start with the vikings beating the bears nine to three and maybe the
00:37biggest story of this game is what does it mean for the lions caleb williams is going to be out
00:41for a
00:41bit with a hamstring um this game is so much a game of attrition anytime you lose your quarterback
00:47and let's face it he wasn't the only quarterback that went down yesterday jayden daniels went down
00:51with the commanders as well but um you know bottom line is this has a big impact on the nfc

00:59it does and we'll find out a little bit more today when he has the mri done uh how long

01:05out perhaps when that happened i was watching it on uh red zone and i immediately thought when i'm
01:14watching a play i'm like he wasn't touched that's that's not good and then watching him riding pain on
01:18the ground i'm like that's really not good and initially they thought oh he must have been tripped
01:22tripped a nope nope oh is it the slick field no he just went down and i was surprised to

01:29afterwards that it was a hamstring because the way he went down it's like when you have seen
01:34baseball players do this a million times see football players do it a million times they're
01:38in a dead sprint and all of a sudden hammy goes and they start to hop on it they'll limp
01:43on it and
01:43finish up and like oh oh oh oh when it's your achilles you go down immediately yeah and and
01:49like you like to say hey we're who who shot me everybody thinks the the people who've hurt their
01:54achilles say it feels like he got kicked in the ankle and and almost everyone it's weird when you
01:59have an achilles and turns around and looks behind him like i i didn't realize there was somebody behind
02:04me but so initially i thought it was going to be something worse than a hamstring i mean the hamstring
02:08can be bad enough because they linger and that's the biggest worry you have if you're a bears fan right
02:13now because kayla kayla william is part of what makes him great if not the one thing that makes
02:19him great because he's not a great quarterback but the one thing that puts him in that categories is
02:23his capability his ability to run and with a hamstring injury you're gonna have to fully rehab that
02:30come back and you're probably gonna have to change how you play quarterback for a while until that thing
02:35is completely healthy which may not be until next year then you have to pick and choose your spots when
02:40you go i don't suspect he'll be the same quarterback when he comes back from this injury and that's too
02:46bad for the bears this has become and this is a huge story for the lions in this division and
02:51there's an
02:52mri today and we're all like locked in and this is you know the hammond hamstring is is what is

02:59to happen with with kayla williams hamstring and um is he is he out for a long time and as

03:08when he comes back is he going to be the same quarterback it's not like the bears were cruising

04:20quarterback is an interesting one um he's had a chance to learn for a little bit here and
04:25uh he's the one who famously has the father who's the arm wrestling champion and all the the heart
04:30knocks stuff from a few years ago and stuff so i don't know if they're in good hands but it'll

04:36he didn't look out of place trying to keep that offense afloat um or do whatever because nobody was
04:43afloat in that game it was it was so bad the weather was terrible neither team did anything offensively but
04:47he did drive them down with a chance to to actually win the game late uh as they had the
04:53one second left
04:54and then just held on to the ball too long and getting sacked on the play but he might have
04:59some
04:59talent there the bears are a talented offensive team to begin with and if weather's not a factor
05:04i i think you always have to keep your eye out there but they're nowhere near the same potential
05:09that they have they've got caleb williams
05:14so i don't know if the bears are going to break the scoring record i i want to give the
05:18license to you
05:19don't go crazy last week when i get the license to overreact yeah but um obviously the weather had
05:24a lot to do with it but before that you're right doug caleb williams before the injury they were not
05:28cruising offensively brian flores is a really good defensive coordinator minnesota say what you want
05:33about offense we don't know who their quarterback is going to be and they had old running back
05:37they're starting running backs out defensively they can lean on that every day you know every every
05:42week they can lean on brian flores bringing pressure disguising things making hell for the other
05:47teams offense so yeah that but also i i say this we're two weeks into the season yeah we're two
05:53weeks we don't really know anything man i mean we've got to get through at least the first month
05:58before we can start really kind of more definitively saying what we think teams are right now look what
06:04happened to the cowboys week one look what they look like yesterday you know like what what's going
06:08on in this league and that's why people love the nfl you just don't know for sure there's more
06:12parity than ever but i think what i can say about the north is i think it's going to be

06:17matter what who you're playing every single week if you got a division opponent don't take it lightly
06:22and these things count for double because you're trying to win the division and get a home playoff
06:26game well and the bears shot themselves in the foot too right they fumbled on the one they had a

06:31goal blocked that all were incredibly costly in a 9-3 game um against a backup quarterback but but
06:38kang i will say with with absolute definition and and certainty they're not as good with badgett as
06:43they are with caleb williams that i will say that i think we know and and so so the vikings

06:50way are 2-0 i know with two wins in the division and kyla murray comes back next week yeah

06:59did they go right back to him yes you think well i don't know were you impressed by the offense
07:05yesterday i wasn't but they're 2-0 yeah not because of the offense at least not yesterday
07:10uh meanwhile the packers needed overtime to beat the jets that was kind of a must win for green bay
07:16the jets blew that game okay well where where where where do you think they blew it
07:23i mean just the fact that they were playing with a lead and then they they can't hang on to
07:27the lead
07:27there was questions about how aaron glenn decided to utilize his timeouts late in the game
07:33uh you can see his side but the the press was really after him about that um it's it's i
07:40hated
07:40it because i want aaron glenn to succeed so badly too and for them if they had started off 2
07:44-0 that
07:45would have been amazing but a great story but instead it's you know the jets can't win games
07:50this is why the jets are the jets because they couldn't close it out okay so they could have for
07:54people don't know the tie game at the end of regulation they could have called timeout
07:58and uh because it was fourth down uh green bay had a fourth down and they decided not to call
08:03the
08:03timeout and let the clock tick down which allowed green bay to throw hail mary at the at the buzzer
08:09if they had called timeout green bay probably punts it back to the jets but aaron glenn it was like
08:16i
08:16don't want to give them more time if they do go for it and get it i don't want to
08:20help them out
08:22but if you call the timeout they probably are punting because the fourth down they end up
08:27throwing a hail mary and then glenn did what i think you should do he took the football in overtime
08:35and uh you know that's it didn't work out for him but that's a debate that goes on and on
08:41and then
08:41like gator said before that though they had a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter to even before they
08:45even get to overtime and all those decisions that have to be made they blew a 10-point lead yeah

08:49got to close it out and until that's what they have to that's the jets thing that's what they have
08:53to figure out uh it's what all teams have to figure out when they're going from being a bad team
08:58to trying to be an average team or and then a good team you have got to win games like

09:04but that's the jets issue and now they play the lions on sunday in the meantime the jets still not
09:08an interception they went all last year without interception is it still yeah they still yeah they
09:12didn't get one a week one and they didn't get one a week two let's hope it's the same thing
