00:28strange human beings are? I mean if you think about humans we pay good money not
00:36for food, not for accommodation but to go out into the wilderness and watch animals
00:44going about their daily business. It's bizarre. So today's video is all about
00:50that. It's a little bit of a video where yeah it's it's tongue-in-cheek guys so
00:56you know I'm as guilty as everyone else out there for doing this because I am a
01:03strange human being just like you. Hello guys. Oh whoa whoa whoa. Let's take George
01:10and Yama out for an enrichment walk. Let them enjoy themselves while we talk about

04:05The grass is greening up. You can almost smell the vapor, water vapor in the air.
04:14And the clouds.
04:16And the clouds, although there's no clouds in the sky this morning.
04:19But the clouds are building and we will be expecting rain in the coming weeks.
04:25So it's a fantastic time to be out and about with these two.
04:35Okay, the first part that I want to talk about in my humans are weird conversation with you guys is
04:48sleeping beauty syndrome.
04:52And if you think about it, think about how many people flock to different parks all around the around Africa.
05:03Let's just take Africa as a prime example.
05:22So people flock to parks around South Africa, Africa, all these reserves that people want to go to.
05:30And then typically they catch big cats in the day when they are sleeping.
05:38And they pull out their long lenses and they wait there in anticipation.
05:44And then the cat, you know, wakes up and yawns and we hear those shutters going.
05:57And then the cat, if it's a lion sleeping, it does one of these roly polies like George is doing
06:08there.
06:09And again, you'll hear the shutters go.
06:13Let's see, let's see.
06:34And they're sitting there waiting just to get that shot.
06:38The cat of that lion rolling over...
06:41And if you think about it, it's like you going into somebody's house and watching them sleep.
06:48And then once they do something interesting, like yawn or rollover or change sleeping position.
06:59you hit that shutter button and you take a million snaps of them doing
07:04something similar to what Yami is doing and then you look at your buddy on the
07:12game viewer and you applaud him or you applause the action and you high five
07:19each other and you go wow that was amazing and you move on isn't that just
07:25bizarre yeah sleeping beauty syndrome we love love love watching animals sleep
07:36especially the big cats

08:54alright guys so next up is the eating spectacle
08:58so what is the fascination with animals eating whether it's an elephant or a giraffe or an impala or
09:09guys dare I mention lions I mean if we got lions on a kill and they all chewing on their
09:16steak wow those cameras are working overtime and yeah people are really excited about capturing
09:24those moments on film or you know as we now as we now digital on on memory cards so
09:40yeah so eating is a big thing so by comparison if can you imagine taking your camera with its long
09:49lens to a shopping center to the
09:53to the mall where the to the mall where the food court is and then basically setting up your tripod

10:01taking video or pictures of people eating their steaks I mean can you just imagine security would have you
10:10hauled out of there in a second yet we think it's completely okay to invade animals privacy in the bush
10:18and watch them going about their business

12:20flesh as other people say around the world and it's really just lions saying hey guys I'm here hoarding off

12:31would be potential threats or communicating with their brother or their pride members I mean that's basically what they're doing
12:40they're communicating and that's the same as you getting all excited about your neighbor telling somebody to get the hell
12:50off his lawn I mean every time somebody did that you and pulled out a camera it would be very
12:56very bizarre but that's effectively what we're doing
13:00we're getting excited about the neighbor shouting at somebody to get off his turf
13:06we're also getting excited about the mother calling her children off the rugby field
13:13you know so a mother a lioness calling her cubs or a cheetah chirping with a bird calls
13:20there he goes over the river a bit clumsy George
13:28but effectively guys that's what's happening animals going about their business just communicating with each other and we're getting all
13:38excited about it crazy

15:19we take it one step further
15:22and then we wait
15:23for them to
15:25go to the toilet

15:28out come the cameras
15:31and we're taking pictures
15:32of these poor animals
15:34just trying to defecate in peace
15:36what's with that

15:40why are we so fascinated with
15:42animals toilet habits
15:45I mean really

16:05and then if that isn't bad enough
16:07if taking pictures and videos
16:09of a poor animal

16:14we decide we want to be
16:16CSI detectives
16:18and we start to rummage through
16:21the fresh poo
16:22especially if we haven't seen
16:24an animal
16:25make it
16:26and we're driving along
16:27and we come across like
16:29for example
16:29a pile of elephant dung
16:32it's insane
16:33everyone gets off the vehicle
16:35like there's been
16:36some major
16:37major discovery
16:38and
16:40the god
16:41in all his wisdom
16:42grabs the poop
16:44smells it
16:46breaks it open
16:47if it's fresh
16:48all the visitors
16:50have gathered around
16:51in fascination
16:52he asks the visitors
16:54to smell the poop
16:55they all willingly partake
16:57he then goes on to say
16:59this is what
17:01the elephant
17:02was eating
17:03and
17:04everyone
17:05applauses
17:05it's
17:06crazy
17:07the same with
17:09other animals
17:10like lions
17:11they look at the poop
17:13they dissect it
17:14they see
17:15what animal
17:16contents
17:18are in that poop
17:19and then they decide
17:21okay this animal
17:22had eaten this
17:23or that
17:25by comparison guys
17:27imagine
17:28putting some
17:31latex gloves on

17:33kind of
17:34rummaging

17:36your neighbors
17:39pit latrine

17:41lily pit
17:42french drain system
17:44pulling out
17:46their poo

17:49and then making a prediction
