00:23females and we are going to be treating charlie for some ringworm on his tail now these two lions at
00:33the sanctuary that have developed these lesions these little round spots on their tail it's it's
00:39charlie and and vietzi and why it's occurring is we've had as many of you will know tons and tons
00:47and tons of rain and many many overcast days so everything is wet and damp and perfect perfect
00:55conditions for a fungus to just um you know really take hold and um yeah so unfortunately
01:04we've noticed that just on two lions and we are trying to be proactive so that this doesn't spread
01:11everywhere in the sanctuary because these these funguses can really be terrifying if they if
01:18they take hold so yesterday i was at um dr caldwell he's mixed up a nice lotion and potion um
01:27and we've
01:27got to basically um endeavor to uh treat these these these fungal infections uh daily if not twice daily
01:40but uh yeah at least at least once a day i'm going to be away um in the coming weeks
01:47so
01:48what i'm trying to do is i'm trying to develop a protocol uh whereby george and or brenton can load
01:55the lion safely without me into the loading vehicle and then while one occupies the mouth end with food
02:04the other can work on the tail end and uh yeah so this uh this video today is going to
02:13have a twist in
02:14the tail pardon the pun um it's not your conventional move the lions around um but yeah um it should

18:01Well, hardly call it an outbreak because it's just two cats at this point in time

18:12Um, um, what we call ringworm
18:16And, uh, the guys have done such an amazing job
18:20At, uh, treating
18:22It and
18:24Yeah, now the hair is growing back. Oh, he's a happy cat
18:28The hair is growing back and he wants a tummy rub
18:31But I must just say
18:33Vietzi was an absolute star
18:37Uh, uh, he really was guys he he um
18:42Loaded into the the vehicle and allowed the guys
18:46Without
18:47Me being there
18:50He allowed the guys to
18:53One feed him at the one end and the other one take his tail through the
18:58Gap
18:59Um in the loading vehicle and wash his entire tail
19:03With, um, uh, this you know special
19:09Antibacterial antifungal
19:10Soap and then put this f10 cream on
19:13And they did that for a solid
19:17Three weeks every day and
19:20Yeah, that is the result his tail is healed healing the hair is growing back
19:25Once the hair starts growing back, you know that that's the end of it
19:29And, um, so we can you treat like once a week now and he will be fine
19:33But he's already he's a happy happy happy cat today. Look at this guy
