01:49Their announcement came after reports that the U.S. cancelled its planned strikes on the group at the last minute.
01:55A senior Houthi official confirmed that besides the U.S., the group was also not targeting any other nation in
02:01the Strait, with the exception of Saudi Arabia.

02:19On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump pulled back from striking the Houthis at the last minute,

02:30The U.S. has sent mixed signals to its ally Saudi Arabia since the Houthi offensive began in July.
02:36According to U.S. media reports, Washington last week refused Saudi requests to strike the Houthis.
02:41And Trump said last weekend his administration had discussions with the Houthis but did not say when.

02:55a day after Kiev's forces fired more than 1,000 at Russia, officials said on Monday.

03:10and wounded five people, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media Monday.
03:17Russia also struck nine other regions of Ukraine, he said.
03:20The Russian military overnight targeted Ukrainian logistic hubs, warehouses and ports,
03:27among other military-related sites, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
03:33The attacks came after Ukraine launched a huge swarm of drones at Russia from Saturday to Sunday,
03:40including hundreds aimed at Moscow, as voters turned out for the third and last day of a carefully orchestrated parliamentary
03:48election.
03:53German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's CDU party suffered heavy losses in two state elections on Sunday,
04:00with the left emerging as the largest party in Berlin and the AfD taking the lead in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
04:08Projections indicated that the CDU came in with just 4.9 percent in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania,
04:14the lowest result since World War II for the party in any state.
04:19Staying below the 5 percent threshold would mean the CDU fails for the first time to win seats in a
04:25state legislature anywhere in Germany.
04:28While the AfD came first there with 38.2 percent of the vote,
04:32it was closely followed by the center-left SPD,
04:35which looks set to continue governing the state by forming a coalition with left-wing allies.
04:40In Berlin, the left has emerged as the strongest party for the first time,

06:43to the safety and security of the United States.
06:45If the United States is not safe, it certainly cannot help Europe if Europe is attacked.
06:50Because if America is not safer, stronger, more prosperous,
06:54it cannot help anybody or be a good partner.
06:57The agreement, which eases tensions between Europe and the U.S.
07:02over President Donald Trump's repeated threats to claim the territory,
07:05has been hailed by leaders on both sides of the Atlantic.
